fantastic video. Your product videography just keeps getting better btw! A great cinematic interlude and I love the hard break "... well that's great" ... it made me chuckle 😊
Thank you, I try my best with these video reviews!
No one metioned but the sound suites the City of Futere too :) , again thank you Andrei for your work
Many thanks!
Haven't been to Valencia is so long... good to see!!! Brilliant spot to test this lens.
Yes it is! London is also a good place to test lenses, keep up the good work!
@@AndreiDimaReviews You too!
Thx!🙂
Great review. Just bought this model and figuring how to get better image photo and found this review,❤
Thank you!
Excellent review as expected. This lens looks pretty good. I was considering other cine lens offerings but for a complete set followed by a low cost 7Artisans is drawing me in.
Glad it was helpful! Its a nice budget set.
Great job Andrei 🙂
Thank you so much!
Muchas gracias por la revisión útil.
De nada.
Excellent review. I recently purchased the Fuji X-H2S and have been researching a lot of cost-effective cinema lenses that I can afford. I'm in doubt between this kit from 7Artisans (12, 25, 35 and 50mm) and the kit from Meike S35 Prime (18, 25, 50 and 75). The Meike kit is more expensive, but seems to be better at focusing ventilation. And maybe in terms of clarity, I don't know. Have you already tested them on the Fuji X-H2S? The downside of Meike is that I will have to use an adapter (I have the Fringer-EF-FX Pro III).
I have also been researching the Rokinon Cine DS (which would also need an adapter). I also researched the SLR Magic and it is highly rated by some reviews for its value for money. But it doesn't support 6k captures, so I chose not to buy it.
What do you recommend? Have you used these other options that you mention?
Hug!
Beautiful images!
Many thanks!
Definitely some nice scenery
Thank you!
aite bro when im heading to spain im going to call you..this city looks awesome
I love Valencia, that is why I moved here. I don't know where you are in Portugal but Valencia is an hour flight from Porto. I would love to hang out if you come over!
i really wonder how this lens stacks up to the Rokinon\Samyang Cine 12mm T2.2
Very good footage in your review.
I am curious, which ND filter did you use with this lens and your XH-2S? I have the NISI True Color Variable ND kit for my Sirui Nighhtwalkers but those lenses only require 67mm so I bought 77mm so as to have some choices about using it on some of my Canon Zooms. Of course, this lens is 82mm so I'm wondering if I should just buy the 82mm NISI kit or if I should spend the extra $70 and get the 95mm kit so that this 12mm doesn't vignette in the corners of the filter. Advice? I normally prefer fixed NDs but I like this NISI for a VND, almost no color shift and no X pattern and it is more efficient when running and gunning on a schedule than switching out fixed NDs.
I've tried the 77mm NISI on my XF16mm f/1.4 and didn't notice any vignetting in the corners but 12mm is considerably wider than 16mm. What has been your experience with NDs with this lens?
Hello, I used the Freewel magnetic VND on it and had no problem with vignetting because the front glass element is not that big. There is plenty of room between the glass element and the filter thread because it is an APSC designed lens. I hope this helps.
@@AndreiDimaReviews Thanks for the info.
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey dude,
Probably a stupid question but can you use the x-h2s built in autofocus with those cube lenses, or do you have to manual focus?
Hey, manual focus only.
When using T2.9 and during low light, not completely dark, what sorta ISO did you have to crank it too?
ISO 1600, 2000.
Hey Andrei I ordered this lens to also got the 25 n 50 of the same line do u think they can match? Is it too dark or good to go with. Thank you for ur amazing videos
I am glad you like my videos! I think it goes well with the rest and T2.9 is bright enough in my opinion.
@@AndreiDimaReviews thats whatsup cant wait to have it in my mailbox waiting everyday many thanks 🙏🏾 for ur reviews combining this amazing camera with these lenses 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Great review and in low light you have great results what was iso ? Please tell me again the difference between T and F 🤦♂️I would like to try cine lens why not but E-mount 😅
Thank you! I used ISO between 1250 and 3200 at night. The T stop measures the light that passes thru all the elements in the lens like all the glass elements and iris so it is more accurate then F stop that measures the light that goes just thru the iris.
@@AndreiDimaReviews so what does it mean in practical terms? For example, does T1.4 let more light in than f1.4?
I can't wait for budget z mount cine lenses for my Nikon Z9
They already have cine lenses for Nikon Z, the Spectrum series: 7artisans.store/collections/cine-lenses?ref=amE1REgb
@@AndreiDimaReviews thanks!
I plan to buy (7artisans 12mm t2.9 cine lens) from their official 7artisans online store. It says payment option (paypal and credit card) in two ways, which I have to use one of them, as I am ordering this product from India will the product arrive safely? There is only email facility to contact them so is it safe for me to buy?
It is hard for me to answer this question. If the package arrives safely depends on the delivery firm. Regarding 7Artisans they are a trusted brand, I don't know people that had problems with them.
How does it perform on full frame? Thx
I never used it on full frame.
Does this translate to 18mm on fuji xh2s?
Yes
Can you shoot stills with this lens?
Yes.
