You will be surprised they do know about nutrition because they will tell you what you can’t eat incase your taking certain medications, indeed they should educate you more on nutrition than meds but there’s a deal with pharmaceuticals, just a thought
I was in stage 3 kidney disease because of sepsis several years ago,I have been drinking ginger and lemon tea for several years, also 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil 2x daily and 1 tbl spoon of apple cider vinegar 2x daily.I had a kidney doctor appointment this past Wednesday and the doc.said my kidneys were functioning at normal levels. I drink ginger and lemon tea everyday. I recently went to my doctors appointment and was told I am no longer anemic. My doctor was in shock and asked how did I do it. I told her I boil ginger and lemon every morning with a little bit of honey ☺️ Ginger is my best friend☺️
@@Kim-zu1nl A bit more information about why it is not a good idea to boil honey and ginger together. Cooking honey and ginger and lemon juice together should have no downside of which I am aware. Many cultures practice this use of those ingredients.
My mom who is 88 years old, who lives alone and does everything for herself, drinks ginger every morning since she can remember. She’s a very healthy, and to be honest, I’ve never seen my mom get sick..

I am from the Caribbean and we grow all our ginger. We even use the leaves to make tea! If you grate the ginger you get more out of even a little. I include it in all my smoothies. I prefer to grate it in my stir fry vegetables because the flavor is more evenly distributed among the veggies and you don’t bite into solid ginger. Another top; don’t peel ginger, just take a knife or spoon and scrape off the skin, it’s paper thin. Enjoy
Yes I'm from the Caribbean as well and this is so true we make tea with it for gas pains and we cook with it as well even season our meats with it raw home grown ginger

I've found out I know more about health than most doctors do. There answer to everything is pills, I've asked doctors and nurses about garlic for treating infections, they all just laughed at me like I'm a fool. 4 years ago I had MRSA and them mofos were gonna kill me with repeat surgeries and antibiotics until I started eating garlic. One hospital rounded up it's whole staff to try to force me to take a dtap vaccine and I know what's in vaccines and I said nope
Good morning Dr Mandell, for more than 10 years every morning I have an empty stomach I drink a glass of ginger and lemon boiled for about 30 minutes, and then filtered and stored in the fridge.I must say that ; every time I have the blood test all parameters are excellent. I am not young I'm 85 yers old , I feel very good and despite my age I get attention from the kind ladies. I am a widower and Live alone. My memory is OK, I am a very inventive man, I have fantastic hobby that helps me to live happily, I am a woodturner and a spend a lot of time in my workshop making fantastic wooden objects. I do ginger daily i cut a thin slice and chew it after a meal sometimes its in AM sometimes at night it depends but i am a believer in ginger its help my digestion and immune system stay strong
I like making my own salad dressing. Avocado oil Balsamic vinegar 3 cloves of garlic About the same amount of ginger as I have with garlic. I shred the ginger and the garlic, and it's actually a pretty good combo in flavor. Mix it all in with the Avocado oil and balsamic and voila!
I love his advise without all the "pre" Advert before trying to sell you something; without the twenty minutes of blah, blah, blahs... He gets right to the point and gives much help to many common issues.
My favorite afternoon treat is green tea with ginger & raw honey. Add the raw honey at the end. You don't want to "cook" it or you may loose it's medicinal benefits.
For the last few *months* I've been getting phlegm on my lungs making it uncomfortable for me to breath. Tried a few things but nothing was really clearing it. And for around about a week or so, I've been consuming sliced ginger as a tea, along with mint leaves, oregano leaves, half a teaspoon of turmeric with black pepper (and fat for turmeric absorption). All as a tea. And just in over a *week* the phlegm has now gone, and my breathing has improved a lot. I would recommend anyone with any kind of lung issues try this. It's amazing.
@@xchen8980 When I say fat, I mean olive oil, avocado oil or butter. A teaspoon should be fine. According to recent research for the proper absorption of turmeric, you need have fat and black pepper as well. If you're having these problems, you might also want to include liquorice root (it's not expensive) and add 1 or 2 cloves. Try and have the tea every day if possible until you have recovered. Let me know how you get on.

Most doctors don't know anything about supplements or natural foods and herbs. I tell my doctor and he said that's good about it. It's best to do you own study on what each herb does 😊
I use to have a cup of herbs with pieces of ginger before breakfast daily and it doesn't make me any harm. It's good for blood circulation. No need for Heparin. You're right, most doctors know nothing about natural remedies, except mine (and a few others) who is an expert and recipes me only natural products as food complements and so. I'm 72 and feel alright!
@@anseso49 because they did this amazing thing with those natural remedies and crushed them all up and compacted them into this little thing (don't know if you heard of it) it's called a pill, and these pills have natural plants in it used to cure ailments without having to eat a fucking gross ass plant instead you pop the thing in your mouth and swallow!

You are the only person associating ginger as a food interaction with blood pressure meds. I cannot thank you enough. You have no idea how helpful this is. I've tried asking both my cardiologist and primary care physician about ginger and neither would even say the word ginger. They just kept going on about foods high in potassium as a contraindication.
Doctors are the last people to ask about healing the body those bozos only know how to prescribe prescription pills nothing else and they are ignorant about all the natural ways one can treat and even reverse some chronic diseases

The fact that natural foods can lower blood pressure naturally, and even go to low if on meds, shows that the food is the root cause. Fix the foods, wean off the meds!

It is always important that your doctor know of any health supplements you are taking, especially if you are on medications. If they don't know about an interaction, they can look it up, so please report to your doctor the supplements you are taking to be sure, unless you already know for sure they are safe.

I read not to boil the ginger but slowly simmer it for a short time has boiling it kills the nutrients. Don't know if it's 100 percent accurate but something to think about
Once I had an infection in my gum. On a third day someone suggested me to slice fresh ginger and put it on the gum and do something which makes body temperature to rise. I went for a two hour walk and the pain was gone for good!

Even though I go a doctor. I will not let them push medicine on me. I go to my local organic market, and ask them for advice on a alternative to the meds. I'm also Native American so I know some home remedies of my own. My doctors don't like it. It's my body and I decided not you.
Truly, it's good to know your body and what it agrees with or can tolerate. Some take ginger and they feel better, others, not. Observing how your body responds to different foods is very beneficial

I want to thank you Dr Mandela. I was having some health issues recently. Not feeling well at all, sleeping irregularity, indigestion and costipation on the time. I tried a lot of things but didn't get any relief. Then I started grating ginger, put it boiling water and allow it to boil for a few minutes, sieve it and drink it on an empty stomach. Within three days, everything changed. I begin to sleep soundly, indigestion and constipation stopped. I have more energy. Thank God. God bless you Dr.
Everything can have sign effects to some group individuals. That we all should know. For example raspberries are super foods, but some people can be allergic and cause them severe reaction and could be fatal, same with peanuts.
I respect Mandel because he reminds his viewers to consult further with their physicians. All these recommendations are not generic since all bodies have their own individual physiology.

So why not take ginger and be supplemented by drugs? Drugs have side effects Ginger doesn't. Most doctors want to medicate you despite all the side effects because either they think a milligram in medication is better to control or they want to buy the next Mercedes (pharmaceuticals give commissions to doctors, most became sales representatives for the pharmaceuticals, a real CONFLICT OF INTEREST and its legalized of course.)
Recently, I've been slicing my ginger into very small and very thin slices, and eating it with honey. I just LOVE it this way, and I find that it's not as sharp as straight ginger.
My mother ate ginger every morning empty stomach. The reason why she always ate and drinks ginger because she has lymp nodes different part of her body; neck, underarm, stomach and breast. And thank God! she is now recovering her illness and now did not feel pain. Some nodes are gone. She has been using it for 6 months. I hope this will not cause bad effect by taking ginger everyday. I’m curious, i had the same symptoms after taking first Covid jab. But, ALL lymph nodes shrunk in a couple of weeks. I think it’s also right that I mention that I have sarcoidosis.

Great info! I will add a very important point to the many great points in the video; Due to how potent ginger is, dosage and quality really matter a lot. Some people respond to smaller amounts, while others barely notice anything. For example, capsules dont do the things I want ginger to do for me. However, if I combine capsules with raw ginger, it, will enhance the effects. Further, seek organic ginger if you can. I have been far luckier with potency with organic vs non-organic ginger.

I just took a beet, ginger, and other veggie mixture tonight. I wasn't sure how much to drink or how often! I'm so glad I came across this video. I've been using Ginger to help control my congestion especially when I eat too much dairy. For over a year now, not sure how long, I've been adding it to my coffee and I just love it. Sometimes I cut it in small pieces and chew on them while I drink the coffee and if there's anything left sometimes I save it for the coffee for the next day and it works fine😊. But recently I've been juicing it and that works real good too.

I have Fybromyagia and im still learning no matter how much i research, ginger has givin me a lot less pain from imflamation. I eat a ginger stirfry of onion garlic brocolli and califlower with some kale to balance out the blood thinnig. And since i added ginger, my pain has lessend enough to really notice. I eat a teaspoon or half teaspoon of fresh ginger or pickled ginger and it works great for heartburn, indigestion and nausea. I eat it sparingly, but it’s good to know what could cause cuz my BP is naturally on the low-ish side, and I’m currently taking a micro dose of a beta blocker to counteract the side effects of an AWFULLY toxic medication that a negligent doctor put me on. I hope this iatrogenic injury is not permanent and that once I’m done with my taper I’m able to heal 💯. 🙏✨
@@charlieumlas3520 I’m not sure about that beta blocker since I don’t take it, and the one I take is not for BP issues, is more for adrenaline surges that cause tachycardia and palpitations. Beta blockers slow down heart rate and lower BP, so you want to be careful with natural supplements, herbs and foods that can lower BP cuz I don’t know how many milligrams of that med you are taking. To be safe, I would only consume a tiny amount of ginger sparingly, and many hours after taking your BP meds.
@@charlieumlas3520 do you take that bb for BP or other issues? Give it a try. There other things you can try to for BP. Most people have high BP due to a poor diet. Try to clean up your diet and get rid off of carbs/sugars/alcohol. There are many foods that lower BP. Ginger, grapefruit, beets, and CBD oil are great for lowering BP naturally. But it takes time and consistency of eating healthy.

One suggestion, don't use ginger from China, use organic ginger from Peru. They taste so much stronger. The ones from China are big, like the ones showing in the video. I don't trust any food from China with excess fertilizer and pesticide they use, because I am from China.
I make my own ginger ale...ginger,lemon,lime,cinemon,apple cider vinneger a bit of sugar.....its so healty and a fatburner but most of all....it tast heavenly
I drink the same thing everyday minus the cinnamon. I also use honey or maple syrup to sweeten. I'm going to try it with cinnamon tomorrow. Do you make yours a hot drink?

In Chinese medicine ginger should also be used with caution if the person runs hot. It’s adding more heat to the body and should be used sparingly. Thank you for this info 💜
@@jpg1392 I think metabolic rate, immune system(both being sick and food intolerances) and hormones all play a role. If I eat eggs I literally melt into a puddle. I wonder if I lived in a hot country if I'd ever acclimatise, probably not, best holiday was in the arctic ;)

Alert::Adding honey to hot drinks makes honey toxic to the body . Be careful

Good morning Dr Mandell, for more than 10 years every morning I have an empty stomach I drink a glass of ginger and lemon boiled for about 30 minutes, and then filtered and stored in the fridge.I must say that ; every time I have the blood test all parameters are excellent. I am not young I'm 85 yers old , I feel very good and despite my age I get attention from the kind ladies. I am a widower and Live alone. My memory is OK, I am a very inventive man, I have fantastic hobby that helps me to live happily, I am a woodturner and a spend a lot of time in my workshop making fantastic wooden objects. I think at the end of time I don't find ginger dangerous. I always read your posts.

I like making my own salad dressing.
Avocado oil
Balsamic vinegar
3 cloves of garlic
About the same amount of ginger as I have with garlic.
I shred the ginger and the garlic, and it's actually a pretty good combo in flavor.
Mix it all in with the Avocado oil and balsamic and voila!

My favorite afternoon treat is green tea with ginger & raw honey. Add the raw honey at the end. You don't want to "cook" it or you may loose it's medicinal benefits.
For the last few *months* I've been getting phlegm on my lungs making it uncomfortable for me to breath. Tried a few things but nothing was really clearing it. And for around about a week or so, I've been consuming sliced ginger as a tea, along with mint leaves, oregano leaves, half a teaspoon of turmeric with black pepper (and fat for turmeric absorption). All as a tea. And just in over a *week* the phlegm has now gone, and my breathing has improved a lot. I would recommend anyone with any kind of lung issues try this. It's amazing.

@@xchen8980 When I say fat, I mean olive oil, avocado oil or butter. A teaspoon should be fine. According to recent research for the proper absorption of turmeric, you need have fat and black pepper as well. If you're having these problems, you might also want to include liquorice root (it's not expensive) and add 1 or 2 cloves. Try and have the tea every day if possible until you have recovered. Let me know how you get on.

Most doctors don't know anything about supplements or natural foods and herbs. I tell my doctor and he said that's good about it. It's best to do you own study on what each herb does 😊
I use to have a cup of herbs with pieces of ginger before breakfast daily and it doesn't make me any harm. It's good for blood circulation. No need for Heparin. You're right, most doctors know nothing about natural remedies, except mine (and a few others) who is an expert and recipes me only natural products as food complements and so. I'm 72 and feel alright!

I've tried asking both my cardiologist and primary care physician about ginger and neither would even say the word ginger. They just kept going on about foods high in potassium as a contraindication.

Only if you are experiencing a bout of chills or cold-feelings during that hot summer (as unlikely as that may be). Coconut oil and/or ginger are excellent for warming up the body.

It won't affect you negatively, if taken in correct dosages. The problem is the medication, and the bad foods. You can get off those meds if you eat Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition, check out Dr. Joel Fuhrman! The fact that natural foods can lower blood pressure naturally, and even go to low if on meds, shows that the food is the root cause. Fix the foods, wean off the meds!

I read not to boil the ginger but slowly simmer it for a short time has boiling it kills the nutrients. Don't know if it's 100 percent accurate but something to think about

Once I had an infection in my gum. On a third day someone suggested me to slice fresh ginger and put it on the gum and do something which makes body temperature to rise.

Even though I go a doctor. I will not let them push medicine on me. I go to my local organic market, and ask them for advice on a alternative to the meds. I'm also Native American so I know some home remedies of my own. My doctors don't like it. It's my body and I decided not you.

I want to thank you Dr Mandela. I was having some health issues recently. Not feeling well at all, sleeping irregularity, indigestion and costipation on the time. I tried a lot of things but didn't get any relief. Then I started grating ginger, put it boiling water and allow it to boil for a few minutes, sieve it and drink it on an empty stomach. Within three days, everything changed. I begin to sleep soundly, indigestion and constipation stopped. I have more energy. Thank God. God bless you Dr.

Everything can have sign effects to some group individuals. That we all should know. For example raspberries are super foods, but some people can be allergic and cause them severe reaction and could be fatal, same with peanuts.

I eat some ginger candy I get from a health food store. It’s definitely strong in ginger. Strong tasting.
So why not take ginger and be supplemented by drugs? Drugs have side effects Ginger doesn't.
Most doctors want to medicate you despite all the side effects because either they think a milligram in medication is better to control or they want to buy the next Mercedes (pharmaceuticals give commissions to doctors, most became sales representatives for the pharmaceuticals, a real CONFLICT OF INTEREST and its legalized of course.)

Recently, I've been slicing my ginger into very small and very thin slices, and eating it with honey. I just LOVE it this way, and I find that it's not as sharp as straight ginger.
What about the texture tho? For me I would have thought that it would be very fibrous and unpalatable?

My mother ate ginger every morning empty stomach. The reason why she always ate and drinks ginger because she has lymp nodes different part of her body; neck, underarm, stomach and breast. And thank God! she is now recovering her illness and now did not feel pain. Some nodes are gone. She has been using it for 6 months. I hope this will not cause bad effect by taking ginger everyday. I’m curious, i had the same symptoms after taking first Covid jab. But, ALL lymph nodes shrunk in a couple of weeks. I think it’s also right that I mention that I have sarcoidosis.

Great info! I will add a very important point to the many great points in the video; Due to how potent ginger is, dosage and quality really matter a lot. Some people respond to smaller amounts, while others barely notice anything. For example, capsules dont do the things I want ginger to do for me. However, if I combine capsules with raw ginger, it, will enhance the effects. Further, seek organic ginger if you can. I have been far luckier with potency with organic vs non-organic ginger.

I just took a beet, ginger, and other veggie mixture tonight. I wasn't sure how much to drink or how often! I'm so glad I came across this video. I've been using Ginger to help control my congestion especially when I eat too much dairy. For over a year now, not sure how long, I've been adding it to my coffee and I just love it. Sometimes I cut it in small pieces and chew on them while I drink the coffee and if there's anything left sometimes I save it for the coffee for the next day and it works fine😊. But recently I've been juicing it and that works real good too.

I have Fybromyagia and im still learning no matter how much i research, ginger has givin me a lot less pain from imflamation. I eat a ginger stirfry of onion garlic brocolli and califlower with some kale to balance out the blood thinnig. And since i added ginger, my pain has lessend enough to really notice. @@olivew.o.j2497 Find the Awapuhi Ginger root. It will flower once a year. I "milk" the Ginger flower bulbs, use the clear, fragrant liquid ( also edible) and the rainfall will refill the bulbs.
Most growers will cut the bulb, take it to their factory, losing the refill process.

I eat a teaspoon or half teaspoon of fresh ginger or pickled ginger and it works great for heartburn, indigestion and nausea.
I eat it sparingly, but it’s good to know what could cause cuz my BP is naturally on the low-ish side, and I’m currently taking a micro dose of a beta blocker to counteract the side effects of an AWFULLY toxic medication that a negligent doctor put me on. I hope this iatrogenic injury is not permanent and that once I’m done with my taper I’m able to heal 💯. 🙏✨

I’m not sure about that beta blocker since I don’t take it, and the one I take is not for BP issues, is more for adrenaline surges that cause tachycardia and palpitations.
Beta blockers slow down heart rate and lower BP, so you want to be careful with natural supplements, herbs and foods that can lower BP cuz I don’t know how many milligrams of that med you are taking.
To be safe, I would only consume a tiny amount of ginger sparingly, and many hours after taking your BP meds.
I use atenelol beta blocker 25mg i want to try the ginger tea to lower my blood pressure last week my blood presuure ia 150/70

Give it a try. There other things you can try to for BP.
Most people have high BP due to a poor diet. Try to clean up your diet and get rid off of carbs/sugars/alcohol. There are many foods that lower BP. Ginger, grapefruit, beets, and CBD oil are great for lowering BP naturally. But it takes time and consistency of eating healthy.

That explained by my blood pressure was low. I have a piece up ginger every morning, at first It did upset my stomach, but not anymore.

One suggestion, don't use ginger from China, use organic ginger from Peru. They taste so much stronger. The ones from China are big, like the ones showing in the video. I don't trust any food from China with excess fertilizer and pesticide they use, because I am from China.

I make my own ginger ale...ginger,lemon,lime,cinemon,apple cider vinneger a bit of sugar.....its so healty and a fatburner but most of all....it tast heavenly
I drink the same thing everyday minus the cinnamon. I also use honey or maple syrup to sweeten. I'm going to try it with cinnamon tomorrow. Do you make yours a hot drink?

In Chinese medicine ginger should also be used with caution if the person runs hot. It’s adding more heat to the body and should be used sparingly.

@@jpg1392 I think metabolic rate, immune system(both being sick and food intolerances) and hormones all play a role. If I eat eggs I literally melt into a puddle. I wonder if I lived in a hot country if I'd ever acclimatise, probably not, best holiday was in the arctic ;)
How do you know if you run hot? I think my cortisol levels are off but I have allergies so I was going to try ginger everyday for 1 month
