Good for you, I grant you that. But "movie is when" extraordinary things happen to extraordinary folks and they react upon it with extraordinary measures. That's movie. Anything else is just BORING, meaning no reason for a movie.
Yes I think most of us were thrown because the shorter guy, David, has good looks and a strong neck with prominent Adam's Apple and masculine hands. The optimist in us probably does the rest? It's proportion that's important in physical attraction rather than height as a rule of course. Funnily enough watching it again I soon noticed how long Jonathan's forearms are.
When I was a young man, homosexual references were very thin on the ground, let alone gay stories. I had to read entries in the dictionaries to understand that I existed, I had to read parts of Shakespeare and ancient literature to find oblique references to homosexuality. I remember as a young man devouring everything written by Oscar Wilde, for the sensibility though not for the role models. The silence and the isolation, that set me up for life, was deafening and crowded. I wish you young people every joy in finding representations of yourself to accept or reject as you see fit. Long may you prosper and enjoy every minute. However be wary, because that devil i grew up with is still there, amongst the glitter and the acceptance.

I am afraid the pendulum will once again swing the other way when power becomes absolute be it right or left. Being a real minority has consequences. Pete Buttigieg was a good test for acceptance and was rejected though he was a very qualified person. That devil is live and well just under the veneer. Brotherhood & Love has a hard struggle to keep hate from infecting people. Hate can infect as fast as a virus.

The height difference didn't bother me. I'm 5'5" and my husband is 6'5" and we've been together 30 years. I believe the religious difference mattered more to the Christian father than it did to the Jewish mother. I've had the Jewish-Christian experience myself. And it was great. It happened 55 years ago and the relationship was short-lived; but it was wonderful!!! This is a wonderful short film. It said it all in few words and fewer actions. PERFECT!

What a great short film that covers the subject of a happy relationship and a young gay boy that has acceptance issues at home but finds that acceptance in his partner's family. These short films always bring a smile to my face, and happiness that in today's world a young gay man can attain happiness, a relationship and have a family - no diffeerent dreams than his straight friends. sadly as an older gay man - those dreams were not possible. I am so happy for my younger gay friends wwho have found partners and have a "normal" life with all the happiness that entails! Thanks for making this film.

Tolerance. the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with. How some people believe they are entitled to disagree with the existence of another human being? It is time to remove this word when we are talking about other persons. The LGBT community need acceptance, not tolerance.
Some people are just stuck in their ways and the ways of others before them. They may not agree with it and never will. But they tolerate it because they have no other choice. I personally think that's fine...as long as they keep their distance and not promote public hate.

Refreshing to see a sweet, romantic short film. Period. No major stereotypical drama. Just sweet. Maybe it’s because the film was so short that it doesn’t give it enough time for anything to go south. I’ll start binge watching short films now!
I'm saddened that so many people looked at a difference between the two leads instead of how similar they are. Having grown up in a hateful environment worldwide about same sex love, these two show embracing love between them, but oh, the height was so stark, wtf!
