- Available in 1080p hd. This is a tribute to the beautiful film, The King's Speech. The directing, cinematography, writing, and cast are all brilliant in this film. There ought to be way more tributes to this on UA-cam. It deserves it.
I'm trying to get back into the editing tributes groove. I finished this video in 12 hours, I worked nonstop on this all day. I hope my work speed, quality, and quantity will only improve from here. - Розваги
Showed this movie to my husband, and days after he would randomly say, “The King’s Speech-that was such a good movie, wasn’t it?” 😊

So glad the King found a friend. That's something that can't be bought.
Lionel Logue died in 1953, and all these many years later he's getting his due in this wonderful film.
I burst into tears when I heard the argument part. Touching. Thank you for such a brilliant edition.
Apart of the speach of the king that is the most powerful and beautiful scene in the move I believe the chair scene is important because it makes the king realize he is able to send up to his own fears and to others like the monarch he is. When at the end Lionel speaks with a lower and polite tone to the king it is also his way of showing admiration and respect for some that struggled so hard with his fears and problems and made real progress to confront and conquer them step by step.
Also for the first time Lionel treated the king like his king as well not only as his patient and friend and is also a strong reinforce of their growing bound.😀
Its amazing how powerful Geoffrey Rush's performance grips you in its understated tones. Remarkable Actor Geoffrey Rush! Colin Firth's perfect sparring partner in this role. " Just say it to me.....as a friend." Mic drop!
Really hit home on this one. Been a stutterer all my life. Struggled with it at a young age and it’s cumbersome even now Into my thirties. Such an amazing movie. Thank you for sharing.
What I have found is that people who care will take time to listen and people who do not care to listen are not worth your time.
The fault is with the impatient listener not the patient speaker.

I still stammer once in a while and this movie kind of hits home. Obviously, I didn't do this all on my own. I had help, just like the King. They're my friends who helped me get over my issues and I do stand up comedy sometimes. I guess the King needed a friend too, just as much as I did. Good man, Logue.

At certain times in our lives, we find ourselves lost in the darkness. We feel the overwhelming weight of our own fears, and sometimes it feels as though we might drown in our sorrow. We need not be alone. The friends who know us are the torches in the darkness. WE each can be heroes, we simply need the light to guide us.

Such a great film this I never knew that King George VI had a stammer until this film came out I kept thinking that poor man especially with a shit older brother who left him high and dry only for the people to love him for his duty and bravery. GOD SAVE THE KING!

The dynamic between the two somehow reminds me of "The Madness of King George", another great movie with two outstanding actors. Fortunately George VI did not reserve the same treatment to his "doctor" than his predessessor George III.

Unfortunately, as good as the movie is...it's not terribly accurate (as is usual with most historical movies).
Logue and 'Bertie' started working together much earlier than depicted in this film. And the latter got rid of his stutter in a matter of months - not years (as depicted here).
In fact, the King had addressed the Australian opening of Parliament in 1927...with no stutter...and Rogue was not with him. This was 9 years before that 'big' WW2 opening speech at the end of the movie.
Again...nice film.
Brilliantly acted.
But historically accurate?
Forget it.
It's a movie not a documentary Barry.
Why did not the professor use headphones again for the radio public announcement? Would have saved us all an awful amount of time watching this syrupy sub-context.
Because doing so would not have trained him out of his stammer for his real life communications. The headphone thing was like training wheels on a bike - in order to learn how to ride without help, the training wheels have to come off.
