Scott Wave Review: The Gateway to Scott Fly Rods
Вставка

- The Wave is Scott's entry level saltwater rod, replacing the Tidal.
Coming in at $675, the Wave is far from cheap, but it's well below their $1,000 Sector. Get a phenomenal Scott fly rod at a great price. With the Wave, you get a fast action, natural finish blank, much like the rest of the Scott lineup, with a snazzy blue carbon fiber reel seat. This rod excels in that it does everything pretty well. From the finesse shot to a tailing bonefish with a small fly, to throwing a gurgler into a breeze, the Wave can handle it.

honest review. thx. for $675 I am humble enough to purchase a used premium rod.
No shame!
Loved the in-hand feel of the Wave, however i was SHOCKED to see a Scott rod without a butt section cork check. Seems like a real miss on an otherwise beautiful rod being that $675 isnt exactly pennies....
Almost purchased the 9 weight last weekend, ended up going with a sage maverick 10wt to pair with a CCFx2 8/10
That's a killer setup
Any opinion on this vs the Sage Maverick?
Hey Christian, the Maverick is definitely faster than the Wave. The Wave seems to have more feel and is better for shorter casts and larger flies.
Good review dude !
Thanks for watching!
