    How the heck did you learn to cast like that? I’ve been trying for year for someone to teach me. I did buy a Sector 8 wt 9 ft from my local shop and love it and am working hard to make that magical side arm rocket cast you do. Enjoyed your enthusiasm!

      How many hours do you spend weekly practicing lawn casting? Less than 20-you will never get that good.

    Nice honest review. When in doubt, keep them both :) and put the Meridian as your "1st backup rod". I prefer faster rods so my pick would be the Igniter, considering I own 2 Methods (9 & 10 wt.) and one TCR in 9 wt.

    • @AndreiZabetTV
      @AndreiZabetTV 5 років тому +1

      There is a slight difference between your casting strokes with the three rods, with the Sector it looks a little bit more relaxed (I think it's a better term than "slower"), while the Igniter requires a faster more accurate timing. Scott have always been known for making fly rods with soul or with more feel. One thing's for sure, they're all three at the top of their game. But to achieve the same distance with less power/effort, that's the next level in fly rod design. I haven't owned a Scott since my old 9' 5 wt. Eclipse Series, which was an amazing rod for that time.

      @@AndreiZabetTV Yes the igniter is fast like a devil and is a blast and a blaster. the sector cats a bit more easy but still very very powerfull

      @@NordicAnglers I have noticed the line speed as it zinged through the stripping guide in Sector's case. That alone is proof that this new model can generate the needed line speed to cast it all out there, given that the hauling hand speed wasn't much more different when you tested the Sector vs. when you have cast the Igniter in the end. Nothing scientific here, just observing the casting mechanics throughout the video.

    Daniel... asombroso la facilidad con la que puedes hacer esos largos lanzamientos! Tan simple y natural, da gusto verlo! Si tuvieras que elegir la caña para lanzamientos extremadamente a distancia, de vadeo, como se suele pescar en ríos grandes patagonicos. Cual elegirías? Me gusta mucho el igniter.. #8, pero viendo lo bien que funciona el sector#8 ahora estoy sin saber para donde encarar!

    Excellent video. I'm thinking of a buying a Scott Sector for pike fishing with fairly big flies. Would WT9 be sufficient, or would WT10 be better. Also, I have heard that getting the true value from the rod's performance, the WT rating of the line should be one-step up? Does a WT9 perform better with a WT10 line? Many thanks and your videos are great - best wishes, Phil Lockley.

      The 909 is enough i would say :) around 22 grams would be perfect :)

      Well i cant try them all and do videoes on them all regretfully. The sector will not be avaible in 9´6 and for troutfishing in lakes and rivers i think i would go for the radian myself :)

    How would the cheaper TFO BVK find it’s place compared to this lineup? That’s my currend seatrout rod and I’m asking if I have to save some money for an upgrade?

      @NordicAnglers  4 роки тому

      Well i think the bvk is a great rod. The best in it pricerange for sure. These are simply the pinnacle and they cost 3 times what the bvk does. They do not however cast 3 times as long. but they are better and better build, designed and simply just magnificent
