Hi Karla, Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and I hope you do find that pot of gold. Love your video, you always make me smile and I so love your projects. They are all so nice. Have a wonderful week and wish you good health.
Hi Karla I’m playing catch up with all my floss tube friends and enjoyed your video and congrats on your finishes. I love the small exchanges so adorable. Have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
I’m interested to see how you do you temperature blanket. I didn’t quite understand what you were explaining but it sounds very interesting. I keep seeing so many Flosstubers knitting now. I don’t think I would be interested in that even though what they make is gorgeous and there are so many beautiful yarns now. I’m at the age where I don’t need many sweaters anymore 😉 and if I put in all that time and money and it didn’t fit or look nice I would be really upset. I recently saw that there was a free UA-cam tutorial for a crocheted trinket holder in the shape of a heart (like to hold some jewelry you don’t want to wear to sleep in or maybe earbuds or something). It was so cute and I just loved the colors it was shown in and thought it might be something my granddaughters would like. It’s been quite a while since I crocheted but I watched the video and it seemed doable. Bought the supplies and made one and it turned out very nice! I keep feeling the pull to do more crochet but I have so much cross stitch stash that I really should reign myself in. We’ll see. The temperature blanket in rows sounds kind of intriguing to me. I like the repetitive nature of something like that and that you don’t have to concentrate as much as cross stitch.
I was never any good at knitting but when I tried crochet it just clicked and I really like it. If you are not s interested in making garments look into amigurumi - it is super fun and the items don't take up much space - plus they are good to give away
I detest those really long beading needles; but the shorter ones aren't bad. I use the invisible beading thread which makes them a bit easier to thread. I also make sure I'm using a size 10 and not a size 12 which I find almost impossible to thread lol. I love the idea of a Mi Shebeirach piece. I know people who knit or crochet prayer shawls which is a similar concept, but I stitch much more frequently so this appeals more. Your temperature blanket sounds intriguing. I'm doing a temperature stitch this year. I actually got the chart last year and got completely stalled out on the whole color assignment bit. When I sat down and looked at it, the suggested color ranges were easily adapted to the temps in my area. But I got a wild hair and decided to take an easy stitch and change it up - I'm using Rhodes hearts instead of simple cross stitched hearts, I'm using a kreinik braid when we had precipitation on that day for the hanger and the bows on the hangers are going to be the color of the low temp of the day.. it's going to be fun, but I've been laughing at myself thinking that it's going to take longer to do and more thought than it would have to. 🪡👠
I saw your temperature stitch on a recent video - it looks cute. I like the idea of adding something sparkly for rain but don't think that would loook good withthe crochet - maybe in future years - once I make one and find out if I even like doing it.
@karlabeingcrafty1089 and I think sparkly yarn could be scratchy.. and I use my crocheted blankets for cuddling up with. But then again, I live in the Northeast and we get a lot colder than you do!
Hi Karla! Congrats on finishing your cocoon shrug and your beehive Mill Hill! So wonderful to get another finish isn't it? If I have to use a beading needle, I use the short one by John James, believe it is a #10 needle although it is still a pain to thread. Zinnia is looking so good. You are making great progress on Moon Fairy. She is going to be so gorgeous when finished. I agree with you on the Dimensions kits not giving you enough room for the corners and I too have to switch to a smaller hoop. Looks like you felt like crafting more this week with the progress you had on your WIPs. I love the idea of a temperature blanket. I have 2 temperature cross stitch WIPs, one from my last year in Michigan and 1 while here. I would love to do the moon phase one that Zahra Designs has but not sure I want to add a third temperature piece when I have 2 that are not even halfway done and I don't feel the urge to work on them very often. Looking forward to seeing your color ranges though when your yarn comes in. Hope you have a wonderful week. Love and hugs to you and Baggy. Dawn
I have been intrigued with the idea or a temperature piece for awhile, but honestly I don't think I would enjoy stitching one. Crochet feels so much quicker to me, so I decided to try things that way. I also like the idea of a row a day blanket but feel like that might be a bit more tedious and thus less likely to be worked on. I guess we will see once I get started how much i like the moss stitch squares.
Your hair is so vibrant! The cocoon cardigan is so pretty. The beehive is so cute. I can’t figure out what is on your nails…shamrocks? no, pot leaves? I don’t think so… please solve the mystery - or is it just a design? Have a great week Karla. Happy Stitching 🧶🧵🪡💜💜💜💜
Now I see it, on the phone I froze the screen and made it bigger but on the tv when I pause it, I could not see exactly what they were. I thought they were probably shamrocks but it just didn’t look right!!!
@@mkrp4 Oh - I saw that but the e-mail looked odd so I wasn't sure if it was a real person or some bot thing. I am trying out Ozempic with the hope of stopping insulin, but it is so expensive I don't know if I will be able to continue to take it.
@@karlabeingcrafty1089 Thank you! Yes, I am the real person and live in Orange County as well!! In the future I will use my RR (spectrum) email. Sorry for making you confused

Congratulations on your finishes! I really like your shrug. Beautiful stitching. Have a terrific week.
Thank you so much! i hope it looks okay onn me as a garment - i know it will feel cozy, but i hope it is a tiny bit flattering

They are shamrocks on my nails. They are a bit abstract but it is meant to be a St Patricks day set :-).
Now I see it, on the phone I froze the screen and made it bigger but on the tv when I pause it, I could not see exactly what they were. I thought they were probably shamrocks but it just didn’t look right!!!
Missed watching your flosstube video yesterday Sunday, but I'm catching up today Monday. I Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
