Sarah I feel the same about wind this time of year, where I live there are wind storms that roll through the lanscape. It's quite pleasent if you don't have to go out, but somehow this weather causes every contusion or injury you ever had to hurt. Spine, bones broken long ago, teeth - you name it.
My heart fluttered a little when I saw you organizing your bobbins of floss early in this video. I have container upon container of floss like that and cross stitching / embroidery was one of my early crafting loves. I have a huge shelving unit storing containers of hand dyed fabrics, floss, patterns and embellishments. Even though I don’t stitch regularly these days, it sort of gives me a sense of peace knowing that I have the supplies at hand for when I feel the urge to create something (other than painting). I haven’t done macrame since I was a child and my mom taught me how to do a few projects 😊. Another beautiful video and glimpse of life in Scotland… I think I’ll make some granola this morning ❤.
I loved hanging out with you. I have your Callander and I am blown away by you pictures. I had to smile when you commented on "deep snow." Here in South Wales, as a child, deep snow was literally half way up a two story house., not been that way for a while though. Just a thought, would it pay to do a few more in person sales? I imagine it's a lot of work though. I look forward to more posts. Stay warm x
I don't know about you Sarah, but organising my embroidery threads makes my heart so happy. haha. Have you tried painting your fabric and then embroidering it? It's a lot of fun.
I love organising the thread 😂 it's so relaxing and total eye candy. No I have not tried painting my fabric yet but I was thinking about trying it soon, as I have an idea for a landscape with a soft sunset sky
Amazing photography Sarah, thank you for all that you share. I think the winter months brings out the creative you, I picked up a crochet hook as I really felt the need to do something with my hands whilst sitting on a dark winter night. Love how you share a snapshot of your life.

I enjoyed your video very much. I like your music. Your cat is so cute. They are so much fun to play with. We have a cat. She will be 15 Years old on 4/15/24. I love fiber. I started working with fiber in High School 1975-1977 in Minnesota. I don't sell my creations either. Those are for me. I only share if I make something for a family member or friend. It was nice to see your paintings and watch you hang them up. Thank you. Stay warm.

We also are having warmer weather for winter but I know even though the groundhog didn't see his shadow and early spring predicted we will still be in for some more winter weather.
I feel like I go on a mini vacation every time I watch the videos on this channel…it is always very calming. Seeing as I have 2 cats of my own I particularly enjoyed seeing Floki having so much fun with the stick in the snow. Thanks for all the content you put out there it is so appreciated.
Love your videos and since I’m a cat rescue house, love the cat! So sweet…beautiful video. I left Canadian winters almost 10 yrs ago for the hot tropics of southern PANAMA. When winter shows up, it’s so beautiful..almost miss her! Almost….
I love these insights into your life. It's like you open your door to us and invite us in and it feels all warm and cosy. Thank you! I've just reorganised our guest room/hobby room and got most of my creations out of the basement and have started to put them up on the walls. There is mostly cross stitch pictures, some paintings too. I hope there will be more in the coming years. We're still getting used to a smaller place and are getting smaller furniture and making the most of the space we have. It's fun! Lots of love to you and yours! 😍
Beautiful scenery as always. I love that Floki was in so many clips. Cats are just awesome companions. I think it’s great that you have a creative outlet that is just for fun.
I love working with fiber and have been a spinner and felter, weaver, for over 40 years. I still dye fiber regularly and love to make art with it. I have made many sweaters and vests with my handspun yarns. I love that you work with fiber too!

Beautiful compilation of footage and sharing of your thoughts and actions ... lovely to watch. Over 6 years ago via Instagram and the series "Shetland" (based on Ann Cleeves books) I became acquainted with Shetland Islands and so Shetland wool and Fair Aisle ... As COVID affected a Shetland Island shop ... I bought several pieces. My own income was not affected by COVID and I wanted to support a friend and shop that was. I have several much loved pieces ... Scotland/Shetland wool is certainly special!! And a side note ... at somewhere in the 6 years ago time frame, my English Shepherd, Emmett was born and became part of my family in Northwest Montana, U.S.. My Shetland Island IG friend, was inspired to also bring an English Shepherd into her family joining a sheep working border collie. "If it's snowing, I don't care about the cold" ... right. Today it is 3C and wet snow/freezing rain, i.e. kind of miserable compared to -2C and anow which is wonderful!! Homemade granola - YES!! And I agree about wind. Cheers from a viewer that is thankful for your finishing editing and posting a beautiful video!
Oh, what a wonderful bush to be blooming bright red flowers in winter. Do you know it's name? There is still greenery around, things like that can lift ones spirits. I can see why you love it there. Your kitty cat is so cute and playful. Stay warm and take care of each, looking forward to your next vlog.
Hi Sandy. The bush looks like a Japanese quince or chaenomeles japonica. We have several bushes in tight bud in our garden here in eastern France, the birds love to perch and shelter in them all through the year. They produce a few fruits in the autumn, yellow-green quinces and their thorns are deadly !
Had such a nice time with you, Wolfy and Floki while I knit on my latest pair of wool socks - my sock stash has been dwindling lately due to older pairs getting holes, so re-stocking is necessary. I wear hand knit socks nearly every day - they are warm in winter and cool in summer. I have also gotten back into my cross stitch this winter; I found a few beautiful patterns with wolves in memory of my hubby who loved the wolf. I will get around to those as you say, slowly in time because I create for the enjoyment of it. Take care Sarah! 💗
what a great idea to knit your own socks...I might try to learn that skill at one point. It would especially nice to learn how to make fleece-lined socks
