I remember being 7 or 8 years old (1987 / 1988) when David Hasselhof & KITT came to my town and did a Q&A / meet & greet. This was in South Africa! Someone asked how KITT launched into the air for turbo boost and I remember Michael Knight saying "well you see, we put a ramp..."
It can be said that the molecular bonded shell being the first gen on KARR had deterioration due to time and being on the sea, plus the laser damaged the structure of KARR . KITT was able to take one hit due to the molecular bonded shell probably being by later versions and reinforced structure. So that might be the answer
It's too bad you have deleted this scene after this: "KITT , we won!" ...... ...... "KITT?" ...... "KITT??????" KITT: If I say yes, could you promise me not to do this again? Michael: Never, never ever again!
I just realized that the eject right button is just below turbo boost. I certainly would not want to be a passenger during these tense combat/chase situations.
Here's an interesting thing to note about the lead up to the finish - the primary function of K.A.R.R.'s programming is self preservation, but he literally throws all that out of the window after Michael deflects his laser right back at his weak spot, which is the front scanner. What this shows, is that basically not only has K.A.R.R. malfunctioned at this point, but he has completely evolved into a state of evil to the extent where he is prepared to sacrifice himself in an attempt to kill Michael Knight. He's wrong of course, but this is a stark contrast to his origins episode of Trust Doesn't Rust where he wasn't evil as such, just completely selfish and reckless.
@@judgeboony2695 There was two episode with KARR Peter Cullen voiced him in the first one and Paul Frees in the second, though Peter also voiced him in the 08 reboot.
I think the script was dumb. But effects-wise, considering this is 1985-86 and only a TV show, this was really something. Something people didn't see before, good quality, and aged well. If you look closely there are unpolished details, but overall it looks good. On the other hand; I\'ve always though; ' how are they going to get money from that van up, when they've destroyed both routes of access?!
what i dont understand is in the "first" episode we meet K.A.R.R. at the end he drove off the cliff into the water at high speed n exploaded but later we see some teens on the beach that dug him out fully intact n working how did he survive n got on the beach? he wasnt near any beach just rocks
You were supposed to think he exploded. It might have been something else going boom. KARR was knocked offline and when the kids dug him out he needed repair work. It was implied both times that KARR needed servicing. First time was to repair degradation due to long storage, the second was to address damage he took in the first battle ( it’s also how he got the distinctive yellow scanner and silver bottom )
I had a T handle KITT car when i was a kid i loved it because before that you could only push them by hand but with that T handle i could whip them so fast it was like watching a top fuel dragster and the air i could get launching them off a ramp i had a General Lee T handle also and a huge General i would launch out windows that was all plastic brings back memories
Two mobile AI's in conflict. So much more could have been done with the concept and POI did...god i hate how 80's tv mostly dumbed down great concepts.
This episode was badass, especially the final face/off.
Too bad we never saw more of karr throughout the series!
Kitt..... Knight industries two thousand.
Karr ... Knight automated roving robot.
😉👍

4:29 - KARR: “If I am destroyed, so shall you be.”
4:01 - KARR: “Goodbye, Michael Knight.”
Since I was a kid, I've always wondered myself why KARR was destroyed by the impact, but KITT survived.
Not considring plot armour, when KITT refleced the laser back to KARR, that damaged its front shell, so it was vulnerable in an head on collision

He didn’t use turbo boost 😂
Michael challenges a KARR/battle of Pontiacs Trans Am

In many episodes there is Eject Left just below Turbo Boost.
Well, Americans- the disgrace of the West.
That was super simple. Barely an inconvenience.
yea, coz kitt did a backflip, broke the bad guys neck and saved the day

It doesnt matter who we r what matters is our plan.
3:05 - The Feeling Is Mutual Pal, The Feeling Is Mutual!
1:27. Coolest part. Watch karrs sensor trace when he skids. 80's😀😃😃
hmm...now i only start to question why is KITT not having even one bit of scratch and the front looks perfect!
2:05
K.A.R.R: *wooh-wooh*
K.I.T.T: *wooh-wooh*
kitt zo good
Season 3 Kitt vs Karr! 😉👍
The voice of Optimus Prime as a bad guy...
That's the late Paul Frees as KARR, not Peter Cullen.
@@judgeboony2695 Cullen voiced villains. Best one...VENGER!!!!

Trust Doesn’t Rust was Peter Cullen. Kitt vs Karr was Paul Frees. Paul is also the voice of The Haunted Mansion. 😊
Add more Knight Rider videos?
Yeah boi, take that karr
👍Haya
I want to know how KARR was repaired and by who???
And I'm still alive.
I was 15 when the episode came out

The only instance where the German voice is way cooler than the American one. (KITT)
If I am destroyed... so shall you be...
Karr never came back after that. 😐
Until the brand new series of knightrider..... (Failed season 5) mike knight
Walgreens sells K.A.R.R., but I wish they sold the good guy and star of the show, K.I.T.T.
So he just jumped THROUGH another car, exploding it, and no scratches. I believe it!
It's the molecular bonded shell. KARR's was disrupted by the laser I assume.
@@WallaceHumperdink They never bothered to explain that.
