How thoughtful of you that you visited this part of Africa in this case Rwanda. This is country that suffered immensely as you said in your narration but have managed to develop itself beyond recognition. Thanks for sharing this unforgettable experiences of our life time.
Thank you so much for taking me back I worked in this hotel 15 years ago as a guest relation officer and I loved it.Though I am no longer in the country, but this video brings back lots of memories
Awesome, My dad has traveled to Africa many times. He stayed at this hotel 10 years ago. He had a great time. He said the food was great, hotel is clean and nice, and he had a wonderful time.
The best place ever in the world ....am rwandan I have 26 years .....from first day of my birth I don't know how bullet's sound... this means it's peaceful country in the world that's reason why We are super proud of our country... Go high Rwanda🇷🇼
Stunningly gorgeous. One of my favorites thus far!! Excellent videography. Respect for those who have fallen. Brother against brother. Blessings of light to those who survived. Namaste.
There will always be scars from that atrocity that can never and should never be forgotten. Forgiven perhaps, but never forgotten. Freedom is only possible at the cost of eternal vigilance
i quite like that name "Kigali" ... lovely reception/front desk area, dining area is nice and like the colours as well, i'm not a fan of dark wood furniture, but i know it really makes a room look very elegant and plush. Pool area with all the plants around, gives you an outdoor feel...love that...BEAUTIFUL.. hope you come to my island in the caribbean and stay at the Hyatt.
i am so sorry what happing in 1994 rest in peace's also i saw mrthe luxury travel in the mirr you was doing the vieo all those food look very good to eat ty for showing us this video :)
Thank you for the Video. This country has a very moving history. The Manager of the Des Milles Collin Hotel has given shelter to many of Tutsi People during the genocide and refuse to extradite these People to the Hutu Military although he was a Hutu himself. He bribed the Perpetraters to protect the Tutsi. His wife was a Tutsi and he sent his wife and children to a refugee Camp led by the Blue Helmet Army. He refused to leave the People and the employees behind, but was then forced by the increasing danger to fled the place. You probably know the Movie „Hotel Rwanda“. It is a very impressiv Story.
No doubt, Serena has a delightful portfolio of hotels and lodges in East Africa! Fun fact: the majority shareholder of the hotel chain is the Aga Khan group. Incidentally, His Highness The Aga Khan is incredibly passionate about architecture - check out The Aga Khan Award for Architecture. Suggestion: if ever you return to the region - having already featured TZ & Zanzibar on your channel - do check out the myriad of luxury safari camps & lodges in Kenya e.g. Finch Hatton's, Mahali Mzuri, Angama Mara, Olare Mara Kempinski, etc.
In the last min of the video i was getting mad because of the middle finger that EU and America did to Rwanda and other african countries..But overall nice video.
Kigali Serena is not the most beautiful in Kigali you can visit Kigali Marriott hotel or Kigali Radisson Blu those 2 are the best in Kigali then Kigali Serena hotel comes after!
I stayed at both the Marriott and the Radisson Blu. Although the latter two are more modern, I prefer the Serena (larger rooms, better service, more African feel).
Regarding the genocide memorial, this is what every nation should do. See their past in honest and decent way as a reflection for better future for the whole nation itself. Meanwhile, in my country Indonesia, which often describe themselves as civilised with good and decent culture, but had worse (state backup?) genocide story back in 1965, but till this second, it still unclear what was really happening back then, even we don't know the number of the victims, 1 mills, 2 or maybe 3 mills people? And the worst part is there still some people think if the genocide was the right things to do back then. How bad is that do you think?
та страна, где убили сотни тысяч людей и где убийцы остались безнаказанны, не все, но большинство. И не наказаны французские политики и военные, подстрекавшие убийц и покровительствовавшие им.

Yess, so true!!!!!!!!!(facts)
What happened in Rwanda was just horrendous but I’m just so glad the country has a much brighter future.
I'm so glad that Rwanda has a hopefully positive future ahead of them a peaceful existence is what we all one day hope for I know I do 💕😊💕
Best video yet! Just beautiful and very thoughtful treatment of the country’s pain. 🇷🇼

Sad story
Marco Polo, nonsense. Bill Clinton what hs done in Rwanda, ?
Поехать в бандитскую страну. Сидеть в отеле, как в осаде. Потом всем говорить - я там был. Бред.
Not a fan of this hotel.
