The quaint doctor never said what the treatment is. He goes on at length with acknowledgements and history of polycythemia, but he never recommends any kind of treatment, or what foods lower the high hemoglobin count. Bottom line: A USELESS VIDEO
i have high RBCs but no mutations came in MPN panel. Hemocrit is 58%.. Just taking aspirine and had 2 blood withdrawals.... I just feel my heart beating fast and have an average heart beat of 90-95 while just sitting.
I feel like something is always crawling on my skin the itching is so bad I can't sleep.my doctor wants me to have a bone marrow test.that looks to painful.i guess my screwed.
I had Polycythemia/cancer and my g/dl's was 62 g/dl's instead of 16 and I had to get a pint of blood (Phlebotomy) drained out of me a lot. So I started taking oxalate foods until my hemoglobin was back down to normal at 16 g/dl's Strawberries are good oxalated, but so is rhubarb, but I thought rhubarb was too much Oxalate, so I stuck with strawberries. I am aware that too much oxalic can also be harmful.
I am living with PV for the pass ten years... i live in trinidad i am using hydroxyurea and a low dose of aspirin ... now i am discoloured and getting some painful pimpils on my body ...can you help me uot please.. rhank you Elaine Singh ... U am 64
Wow doesn't say anything about how to treat, and don't even ask about how to cure it , because we are talking about medicine and not about curing disease
The music is distracting. Don't know why people like to spice up every video with music. In this case it's too distracting. Remove the music.
I agree- and it’s always heinous ‘muzak’

try natto, i saw people mentioned it and pv is under control. if u can’t, then buy nattokinase, so u don’t have to bear the fermented smell

read Vannucchi 2013 Blood Journal, and notice he advocates lying to his patients see Communicating the diagnosis.
So ah, ya,. How do you treat it ? No answers here.
You can get hydroxurea..... That's the most common treatment that I'm aware of.
Phlebotomy, aspirin are often used.
Is there any cure, or an outlook for a cure!?
Or not worth it, as there's only 100,000 of us.....😭😭😭😭
Stem cell transplant, and not a great road w/risks
Unfortunately no cure 😰😰
