Excellent work Florian, and thank you for making these great tutorials. What was used in the animation bit starting around 3:29? and which website (URL please) are you referring to for looking at it? It's quite nice.
Great tutorial, thanks! I'm not able to find the animation that the video says, "is on the website" though. Would appreciate a link to the animation or the code that created it..
Hi, I bought just now the Win10 pro version, but I cannot bend! With right mouse button pressed I can rotate, I can also move and center, but never bend. What do I need to do exactly? Pressing Ctrl does not help, and anything else I tried.
Hi Stephan, the bending happens only for wide angle panoramas (say 150 degrees horizontal field of view, or wider). And you will see it clearly when manipulating 360 degree (or spherical) panoramas like shown in the video. For narrow panoramas (for example a few images taken with a regular lens), the curving effect is minimal. The narrow field of view means the panorama editor is zoomed into a small part of the sphere. Bending still happens, but it happens mostly outside the view. If you need more help feel free to post to the support forum: groups.google.com/g/ptgui A couple of screenshots would be helpful, so we can see what happens.
Terrific presenter with fast paced focused tutorials. A joy to learn from --CW
