Jynkx used the echo of the Frank Sinatra joke later in the season during the set where the queens were roasting each other. She said she was sniffing a line when she had time to stop and consider: "have I become my mother?"
See the thing about snatch game isnt always to understand the character but its about making it funny. Like when Jinkx did little Eadie no one knew who that was
As an amateur, one of the things I noticed about Jinx’s Judy Garland, was how she juxtaposed seeming obliviousness with smart jokes. She played into Judy being a bit out of it, which could be a combination of her drug use and just being from a different time, making the smart comebacks and jokes hit that much harder.
I think if you’re gonna do more RPDR a video on the read challenges and more specifically going into the meta process of joking about others in your improv group and setting appropriate improv boundaries around what is or isn’t okay could be a neat topic
Season 13 would be so interesting to hear about from someone who knows how to do analyze it. there were SO MANY highs and lows it was a trainwreck but also incredible at times. love the video!
My thoughts exactly from her first season that Jynxk was a good improviser in the making, and having she performing with Bendela, basically as an improv show, has strengthen that ability waaaaay more.
I think some of the characters were also just not given enough air time, or their better jokes were edited out for the sake of the story line. I really liked Raja's Diana Vreeland, but it's clear that she wasn't given much time to develop or play up her jokes.
I found Trinity's Lucifer to be just such an obvious choice? Like it was cohesive for sure and there were funny moments but every joke was SO obvious, there was never anything I wouldn't have anticipated. Whereas say Monet's Mike Tyson was funny but I wasn't expecting "penis-cillian" as an answer 😅
I was rolling in laughter with Trinity and got shock and the judges said it was obvious make Lucifer gay. I mean… Since when? Not even before in the show that happened before. I think the whole omg I’m gay jokes are def safe or obv, she’s really just saying just of bunch of gay phrases but mixed it Lucifer drag it makes at least my brain go malfunctioning. I was really dying of laughing.
Also you can see how much the other queens know Jinkx is a master at this. On any other season a queen dominating that much time during Snatch Game would be called out for it but the other queens just sit back and watch because it’s so good.
The fairytale justice challenge from AS7 (not 100% improv but thats how they referred to it I think) is another one that showcases Jinkx - the ear falling off & Bruno dropping his book and her immediate retorts were so perfect. Nobody particularly falls flat though.
Don't know how this video was recommended to me... but as a drag queen who dreams they can be on RPDR (and currently taking improve classes) I am glad it was! Love the brakedown, useful. I definitely need to check out the rest of your channel. More please
Good luck WHEN you get on RPDR….it can turn a job into a career. Positive energy. The first step in Improv as I know it is “Yes, and….” Good God Get It Gurl! -Stella Zafella (retired old drag singer from SF)😎💋
You Skip the BEST part, the end after Ru's "time it's up", with Jinx singing the opening of Drag Race "may the best woman win" and Trinity interrupting with "They changed to Drag Queen" 😂. That's THE moment on that Snatch Game. I quote "They changed It to Drag Queen" too much, It was superb comeback. For reference: ua-cam.com/video/HFWhb1V3Sp8/v-deo.htmlsi=rV8QMc6cUjlxNkoJ
Jinkx is incredible but I think what's even more impressive is the work of Trinity, Monet and Raja here because this is not their wheelhouse the way it is in Jinkx's. You can tell they really put the effort and thought in and it showed.
Yvie’s Rico Nasty is an accurate portrayal, but you’re right. The jokes just don’t land. Comedy and acting isn’t really her strong suit, her drag is much more about the aesthetic impact of her character and her lip syncing capabilities, which is up there as one of the strongest in the entire DR franchise.
💯 %on the reference thing. I had no idea what grey gardens was when Jinkx did ages ago it but because the performance was so funny I searched it up and finally got it. I laughed so much even without knowing the reference but laughed even more learned it.
The Lady Chablis was a singer in Savannah, GA. She became fameous for the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. That movie was about a journalist (played by John Cusack) doing a story on a society murder involving an "everybody knows he's gay but it isn't publicly said" socialite played by Kevn Spacey. The murder was a real one in Savannah history, and the filmmakers made the movie in Savannah featuring real people who are local color in town. The Lady Chablis was one of them. She played herself in the movie, as it was determined that (a) she was still alive, and (b) she sure as heck knew how to play the part. It didn't matter that she was X years old when making the movie, but she had been X-Y when the events originally happened. She was compelling and delightful.
I just had such a face/palm moment with why it's called the Snatch Game! I didn't know the old game show was called the Match Game in the US (it's called Blankety Blank here 🇬🇧).Suddenly it all makes sense!
I'd love to see ur break down of Bendela's appearances on snatch game. To this day I still didn't get over the "Excuse me, we invented the language!" line 😂

Your comments aren’t wrong for the audience but ultimately you should be doing who you think Ru knows and will make him laugh. So what if a viewer doesn’t know who a character is, if Ru thinks you’re funny that’s literally all that matters.
Thank you so much for this reaction video. I fell in love with Jinkx in Season 5 Snatch Game when she did little Eddie. I didn't know of Little Eddie until that, (so relate t what you said when you are unaware of who they are portraying). Jinkx is my Queen of All Queens and sooo deserve her title.
The rainbow piece was only funny because we know Judy was an actress/singer. There was nowhere else for Jinkx to go with that, really, to make it memorable! Chef's kiss!
Jaida’s charm makes it all work so perfectly for me, I just laugh at everything she does here lol. Not on a Jinkx or Monet or Raja level but it’s great.
Dela, Jinkx and Bob are my favs and this particular Snatch Game surpasses all others. Dela's portrayal of Dame Maggie Smith (We invented the language), Jinkx doing Little Edie and Bob as Uzo Aduba/Carol Channing were all outstanding characterizations and very funny improv bits. Thanks for the fun review!
It’s absolutely no shock that Jinkx is Queen of the Queens. My partner and I have been huge fans of hers since her original season. So much of a fan that she inspired our dog’s name when we rescued her. Shes a beautiful pit bull and we named Jynx.
any excuse to watch Jinx slay a snatch game! love the insight you have on the characterizations as well. will have to check out some more of your videos
It's funny you say you knew Martin because it was on at home all the time, but you didn't get the Lady Chablis reference (or Diana Vreeland or Madame). I understood Lady Chablis immediately, Ru even says it as from the Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. That was an amazing movie! And should be known in the LGBTQ+ community... it has a gay main character and had drag queens and the charm of the south. I've been watching Drag Race for years! If there's a character I don't know, I Google it. Growing up in the 80s I knew who Madame was. I don't watch the Office and I only started watching Doctor Who in the last couple years, so I don't know Katherine Tate, but with any character, if they make them funny, it doesn't matter if we don't know. Reminds me of Jinkx's Little Edie from season 5, I didn't understand that reference at all, but I was so intrigued I had to find out.
Little Edie was genius! A lot of people have no idea who the hell she is and, and she was so interesting and great that you could understand her character!

Jynkx used the echo of the Frank Sinatra joke later in the season during the set where the queens were roasting each other. She said she was sniffing a line when she had time to stop and consider: "have I become my mother?"
Bendalacreme and Jinks Monsoon are Snatch Game powerhouses.
See the thing about snatch game isnt always to understand the character but its about making it funny. Like when Jinkx did little Eadie no one knew who that was
I think featuring either of BenDeLaCreme's appearances would be a great followup and masterclass!
Like Heidi in as8 during snatch game lol
Thank you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 she needs to move onto something else 💯
The reading challenge is not really improv tho
Season 13 would be so interesting to hear about from someone who knows how to do analyze it. there were SO MANY highs and lows it was a trainwreck but also incredible at times. love the video!
Rose's Mary Queen of Scots is underrated genius.
Oh! You miss the last bit at the end when Jinkx keeps on singing and everyone breaks character and laugh 😁
My thoughts exactly from her first season that Jynxk was a good improviser in the making, and having she performing with Bendela, basically as an improv show, has strengthen that ability waaaaay more.
*Jinkx
That judy garland had me CRYING! I remember i was watching it on demand and I had to rewind multiple times cause I kept missing parts from laughing.
NOOOO SHE MISSED THE ENDING OMG NOOO
Wayland Flowers and Madame were amazing. You should check out some clips.
Raja really nailed Madame.
Yvie Oddly's sex symbol Boogeyman was so underrated.
Kevin Burton as Monet X Change as Martin Lawrence as Sheneneh
Don't know how this video was recommended to me... but as a drag queen who dreams they can be on RPDR (and currently taking improve classes) I am glad it was! Love the brakedown, useful. I definitely need to check out the rest of your channel. More please
Good luck WHEN you get on RPDR….it can turn a job into a career. Positive energy.
The first step in Improv as I know it is “Yes, and….”
Good God Get It Gurl!
-Stella Zafella (retired old drag singer from SF)😎💋
I'd love to see you react to either the all stars 7 fairy-tale courtroom drama or the all stars 8 criminal investigation drama
31:26 I mean, c’mon Mr. Boogeyman, there’s nothing but space and opportunity up in here.” 😂
So good, loving your reactions! Missed the end song though, everyone breaking and the Leslie Jordan final comment was my favourite bit 😂
Ru sets them all up so well for success with the questions
You Skip the BEST part, the end after Ru's "time it's up", with Jinx singing the opening of Drag Race "may the best woman win" and Trinity interrupting with "They changed to Drag Queen" 😂. That's THE moment on that Snatch Game.
I quote "They changed It to Drag Queen" too much, It was superb comeback.

Jinkx is incredible but I think what's even more impressive is the work of Trinity, Monet and Raja here because this is not their wheelhouse the way it is in Jinkx's. You can tell they really put the effort and thought in and it showed.
raja was robbed of top2
Trinity played the same character twice, with expected gay jokes.
@@DalsemienNah, even if both characters are gay, you can see the difference between them.
@@ntuneric Her Madame was way stronger than her Diana Vreeland.
@@humps678I still think it should have been Jinkx and Raja.
Jada's impersonation was so bad it was funny xD
I would love to see your take on the Fairytale Justice Improv Challenge this season 💕
I said that too! Plus the csi type improv episode in AS8. Jimbo and Lala and Jessica were all fantastic
@@TheDopekitty Oh yes! Loved that one too
I love Trinity's "the producers' take on her devil
I grew up watching The Wizard of Oz, and didn’t care. Watching Jinx, made me deep dive into Judy’s whole life. lol MASTER CLASS!
Not Really tho. Rico has energy but is not annoying
💯 %on the reference thing. I had no idea what grey gardens was when Jinkx did ages ago it but because the performance was so funny I searched it up and finally got it. I laughed so much even without knowing the reference but laughed even more learned it.
Excuse me but Jinx Monsoon is perfect
I would say season 2, 4 and 5 have my favourite high highs and low lows
Also Jinkx's "Is this my camera" is the best bit
That’s actually exactly how I see the devil so the impression was spot on
This is so lovely to see RPDR is getting more recognition, queer art deserves more attention than it gets.
She was compelling and delightful.
i think the bitchelor is a really good character focused improv challenge that showed many highs and lows from All Stars 3
I just had such a face/palm moment with why it's called the Snatch Game! I didn't know the old game show was called the Match Game in the US (it's called Blankety Blank here 🇬🇧).Suddenly it all makes sense!
My favorite snatch game performance of all time is Nina Bonina doing Jasmine Masters lol
I think think about her, "I don't own a cat, they sense evil" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I LOVE the snatch game from seasons 5, 6, all stars 2 and 4. BenDeLaCreme doing Dame Maggie Smith is still one of my favorites ❤
"We originated the language!"
@@Superplin such a genius response!
I'd love to see ur break down of Bendela's appearances on snatch game. To this day I still didn't get over the "Excuse me, we invented the language!" line 😂
That was improv at its finest, cause it was in reaction to someone who wasn’t really throwing low hanging fruit…quite the quick wit!
Forever my favourite Jinx improv moment is when her ear falls off in the storybook trial challenge 🤣
You should absolutely watch season 5 snatch game, jinx’s little Edie is damn good and it was one of the first out of left field characters that proved people wrong
this was delightful, ty the only thing that tops Jinx's performance was her iconic appearance in Doctor Who!
i really liked this video and hope you keep making more of these. however, i'd love to see MORE of your insight and knowledgeable commentary on the material you're watching, please don't be afraid to interrupt the piece you're analyzing, that's i think why most of us are here for.
Your comments aren’t wrong for the audience but ultimately you should be doing who you think Ru knows and will make him laugh. So what if a viewer doesn’t know who a character is, if Ru thinks you’re funny that’s literally all that matters.
Good point, I mean look how hard Valentina's Eartha Kit bombed because Ru had no idea who Izma was
Thank you so much for this reaction video. I fell in love with Jinkx in Season 5 Snatch Game when she did little Eddie. I didn't know of Little Eddie until that, (so relate t what you said when you are unaware of who they are portraying). Jinkx is my Queen of All Queens and sooo deserve her title.
Little Edie. Sadly, I had never known anything of Little Edie.
i gotta say one of my favorite snatch game performances ever is katya as björk 😭
Jaida's Prince will always have me on the floor the performance was soooo messy I love it 😂😂😂
Yvie’s Boogieman is probably inspired by the Boogeyman from Powerpuff Girls
What Jinxx did was a miracle! Perfection ❤😊
Please do more! I am here for this Snatch Game review series.
What I love about The Dave joke is that she sets it up in her introduction when she says she's dead. Then later on we get the actual punchline.
We need more Snatch Game Reactions. You would LOVE Canada’s Drag Race season 1 Snatch Game, Jimbo’s Joan Rivers & Rita Baga’s Edith Piaf are hilarious
i would LOVE to see you react to season 14's snatch game
HELPP 😭😭😭
It’s absolutely no shock that Jinkx is Queen of the Queens. My partner and I have been huge fans of hers since her original season.
So much of a fan that she inspired our dog’s name when we rescued her. Shes a beautiful pit bull and we named Jynx.
You missed the last part!! So good!!
any excuse to watch Jinx slay a snatch game! love the insight you have on the characterizations as well. will have to check out some more of your videos
Jinkx is my favorite queen of all. I'd also love to see you react to some of Jimbo's comedy on the various franchises Jimbo has bern in.
Imagine going into Snatch Game knowing that Jinkx is gonna be there. You just wouldn't even bother to try.
I honestly thoughtwhen I first saw this, the boogeyman was a connection to the Powerpuff girls boogeyman lol
Cause it is!!!!!
Raja's Madame is *iconic*. Having the control rods on her wrists is just so fantastic
Jada's Prince is an all-time favorite it's so endearingly dumb and not at all necessary to analyze
You do realise that there is a huge Drag Race audience in the UK and european countries that watched Katherine Tate.
Jinkx called me an ass once.
GIRL YOU CUT IT OFF BEFORE IT WAS HILARIOUS LMAOOO
Jinkx also did great in her original Snatch Game back in season 5, but in a much smaller role than this grand performance.
Little Edie was genius! A lot of people have no idea who the hell she is and, and she was so interesting and great that you could understand her character!
@@xmtryanx I didn't knew her! She made me watch her doc. But it was sad. And the movie with Drew lol
Jadas prince was awesome - its like how he was in interviews 😂 genx here!
You should watch S14's snatch game. The trainwreck that it was should be reviewed by someone who is actually good at the game. Love your videos so far!
