yes, they missed many places: 1. the Central area: Hue city, Quang Binh (Phong Nha Ke Bang, Thien Duong caves); 2. the South : Mekong Delta, Phu Quoc Island , Con Dao island,...
Great itinerary, my first time there for a month, mine was similar, wonderful country, I have since been back 3 more times. I find Ho chi min and Hanoi quite bland now compared to the rest of the country but not saying they are not worth going to, I spent a week in Ninh binh recently and never got bored, I think Da Nang would be a great hub for a couple of weeks as so much to see and do. Next time will spend more time in the far north as found Sapa amazing and would like to explore this area more. Hard to go wrong anywhere in Vietnam, it never fails to disappoint, I do suggest like you, to do the 2 nights on the boat in Har long bay as the one night is just a little to short, splash out and get a good boat and cabin as the cost is very reasonable, the food and the sights just add a further dimension to this amazing country. Good to see Thailand is your home for now it will make a great base for you.
I stayed at District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City because that is where friends suggested before I went there. I then went to Da Nang, Hoi An, Hanoi then Sapa and Cat-Cat, then back down to Not Chang, or however you spell it. Lol.
I took a bus from Da Nang to Hoi An, and from Hanoi to Sapa. I had taken a long bus trip from Cambodia to Thailand so I wasn’t into long bus trips at that point.
You've stated at 2:50 in the video that Vietnam streches 650 kilometers from the northern most point to the southern most point. However the actual distance is 1650 kilometers.
Vietnam is on my list ,I especially want to visit the French part ,and yes the food thankyou for sharing and travel safe Hugs from little me in Melbourne xo
Ninh Binh is also one of my fav places in Vietnam. Definitely Ha Giang Loop! Also Mekong Delta and a hidden gem - Con Dao Islands - there is so little content from there; I am the photographer and I think I might do a first fashion/beauty shoot on Con Dao. The place is a paradise but has a dark history as well (so called hell on Earth).
Great itinerary and summary. My personal highlight of my experience of Vietnam was the Ha Giang Loop. For those seeking a bit more adventure and/or are confident on a motorbike, avoid the group tours and do the loop anticlockwise to avoid the hoards of gap year students and easy riders. The best way to soak up the beauty of the Vietnamese countryside.
Excellent footage! Our Vietnam exploration with the drone spans three months, delving into secluded spots! Happy to know you enjoyed your trip! Anticipating more adventures!
I know on your first visit to Vietnam you missed going to the top of Mt Fansipan due to the cost. If you are spending that much time to get to Sapa then don't miss it. The funicular and cable car rides are good. Can be long queues but they move fairly quick. Stunning views from the top.
Cheers guys.. We have a visit to Da Nang coming up in November b4 hitting Bangers on our way down to check out Hua Hin, looking at spanning our vacay over 5 weeks. We are seasond visitors to Thailand but are really looking forward to Vietnam. either way enough of my rambling on... In all thankyou muchly for your informative vlogggs 😂
You should visit Hue, Ha Giang as mentioned but also don't forget Quang Binh which is known for the beautiful countryside and the beautiful & famous caves including Sondoong cave which is the largest cave in the world.
Thank you for your time and posting. Question, please. Did you or would you bring a Roku, Fire Stick, etc.? Thank you. I've decided to fly into Ho Chi Minh City around November 2024. :) I think... They now have a 90-day visa for US$104. But I'll double-check. If it works out, I will retire there. Thank you again.
You cant ride scooters on AU and US licenses in Vietnam even with an international permit! If you do and have an accident you are in trouble, because your travel insurance will be void for riding without authority and will be deemed by Viet law as at fault for any accident even if you are not at fault. So unless things have changed in the past few months you really should announce this when telling people to hire scooters given so may Aussies and Americans visit Vietnam.
Since you travel and live in many of the third world countries in south America and south East Asia. Tell us what is good and bad between each countries . One European international travellers living in Vietnam for 6 months and he said Vietnam society design for Vietnamese taste, not an international city like Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Vancouver or Bangkok. He gave many example daily life and it very true.
As a Vietnamese who studied in the USA, I have to say it’s a shame Vietnam will remain a third world slum country for generations to come, because of the indiscriminate littering and lack of traffic law enforcement. Garbage and chaos of traffic everywhere is exactly depicted of a third world country. Sad. So I hope that these English teachers can teach the Vietnamese not to litter indiscriminately and respect the rule of law. Văn hóa sanh ra con người hẹp hòi, thô lỗ, thiếu ý thức vứt rác bừa bãi, thiếu trật tự lộn xộn ồn ào, ăn uống bẩn thỉu dơ dáy, làm ăn buôn bán gian lận trộm cắp.Vì vậy dân Việt Nam đi di trú bất cứ nơi nào cũng gây đủ chuyện làm xấu xa mặt mũi cho dân tộc.

Nice video guys, but when are you going to do Ha Giang loop in north, and Phu Quoc island in the south? These are "big ticket" gaps in your itinerary.
I would love to go to Vietnam. With this itinerary what is your estimate of cost for a month?
Hi LioydandMandy, Im hoping to do the travel thing next year...Have you ever lost a laptop or had a bag stolen on your travels?
No Vietnam itinerary is completed without the Ha Giang loop.
How much did u spend in total for the 1 month trip? Thanks
Silver 🥈

So rich
In Australia, do you see anyone drink a glass of beer with ice? only soft drink.
