- On May 6th, 2023, the NMSL&RHS and a local brewery partnered up to run the 2926 5 blocks from its shop site down to the brewery under its own power and display it. Under its own power, the locomotive chugged a short way and was displayed that the brewery for the day. The event attracted many people and was a big hit.
She is absolutely awesome and absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the video ❤❤❤❤❤
Beyond thrilled to see this beauty back on the rails! Magnificent restoration job!! Bravo gentlemen!!
At 1:28 you captured the stack being extended (…to deflect tunnel smoke over the cab). Even in vintage films, I haven’t seen that captured. Very nice catch!!
BNSF needs to run her system wide! She's perfection!
If she ever visits the Pacific Northwest where I live, it's a must go to situation
Still being tested for ptc compliance
Same thing for 3751
Double header with 3751 would be incredible!!!
Delighted Thanks 🎉❤🎉❤🎉
How incredibly beautiful!
I love old steam locomotives. Mechanical marvels. That was a weird cloud up there when they were rolling her out of the shop.
This sends happy chills down my spine. What a beautiful black piece of history and the weight the sound it's just great to see.
It was definitely worth the long wait. It looks magnificent!
I am glad to see that Santa Fe 2926 is now back in working order, hopefully some excursion tours across the southwestern USA later this year will follow this operation.
I'm so thrilled to see this magnificent BNSF STEAM ENGINE restored so meticulously. She came out in her absolute glory perfectly painted and glistening.
Can't thank you enough for sharing this short clip.
Please keep following her on the ground and share her glorious trips.
Take care and keep well and safe.😮💛💜💙🎉🤗❤️😊
Well worth the wait. Awesome! 16 wheel tender . . . with a Northern no less . . . and a 6 chime whistle?
Yep, a Santa Fe 6 Chime
C'est impressionnant !!!
De voir encore ces grosses machines circuler de nos jours.
Bravo pour les ingénieurs qui l'ont remis en marche.
👍👍👍👍
Hooray!!
DANG!!!!!!!!!!! THAT TENDER IS T H I C K !
Shinned up like my old Army low quarters.
The Santa Fe is back in business.
The first excursion test for a new excursion star. ATSF #2926 is soon to become a mainline steam attraction.
I’d love to see her pulling a 25 car or so passenger special! Just like in the old days! As she was meant to!
Damn, she is huge!
One of the class of biggest and heaviest 4-8-4s ever built. . . Magnificent. . .
Very impressive
This is kick ass what a beautiful steam locomotive glad they restored it 😊
Great job on vid! I cant wait to ride behind it. That tender is monstrous! Any idea on when it might pull an excursion?
I'm not sure. However, I can say it might be soon.
WOW!!!!!!
Lovely! Can anyone comment on the telescopic chimney? Noticed it popping up as the smokebox cleared the shed. Neat. Not seen that before.
all aboard 2926
Now, if they can only figure out how to make it go forward they might have something.
I can't wait to see it actually going faster than this on a main, wonder when that will be.
(please don't attack me they should restore it and run it on the mainline)
I don’t think 2926 Pulled A Excursion
Or Will 2926 Pull A Excursion with 3751 on the Mainline?
(1:27 AM, 6/17/2023/2020's)-Sha*den (Shaden Leader) here to say; That's really cool, I remember this Locomotive running on the Tracks out there, by (Films). God Bless. 1 Comment only for each film, including this one. (107) Comments in my Life, (106) Comments here on UA-cam. (1:29 AM, 6/17/2023/2020's)
Get 2926 to be paired up with 4960 and 3751 for a future steam triple-header excursion, make it really happen!
I wonder what AT&SF 3450's whistle would sound like on steam
She looks & sounds great! Is it still a coal burner or did they convert it to oil?
oil
