- I posted a short awhile back when I first got my Frigidaire dishwasher. Since then, I have noticed a lot of searches were for how to use it so here are some of the basics on how to use it. So far, I love it. It's simple and easy to use, it cleans well and I definitely would purchase it again at this point.

This is my exact same dishwasher that came with our new house. Thank you.
You have to have the door OPEN to select the options. If the door is closed pushing the buttons is no good. Also, you can turn off the TEMP button. I melted a few pieces of plastic because I didn't turn off TEMP. The dishwasher runs forever and you have to wait until a light comes which is to the right of the START - Cancel button. Again, the secret, push the buttons with the door open.

I have always been the dishwasher in my family and recently moved to a place with a dishwasher.
I asked my boyfriend to show me how when we had enough dishes, but he tried to be sweet and did it himself to help me.
Problem is... I still don't know what dishes go where. I've seen sometimes glasses break on tv and in other people's houses and the comment is always "you don't put X on the Y rack", but it varies.
Would you mind doing a video showing how to load the dishwasher, please?
Idk if the material or shape of the dishes is relevant, but we have ceramic plates and bowls, metal cooking bowls, glasses, and ceramic mugs.
I put a video of how to clean the glass trap, I included the manual so you can pause and read on how it is recommended to load. But honestly, you can load it any way you like. Generally, taller items go on the bottom and smaller on top. Some may argue and say things have to be done a certain way, but it really comes down to your preference and what works for you. But the manual is in the other video so you can pause and see what the manufacturer recommends also. You should be able to find the link for it in the description of this video.

They just installed one of these in my apartment. You have to practically hit the buttons with a hammer to make the buttons work, to change cycles. Do you push 1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds. Child proof? I hope I never get there by mistake, then I'll be doing dishes by hand.
I’m more interested in cleaning the filter this is still a great overview. Last dishwasher I had took 10 screws to remove it and it was insane. Samsung was no good.

Hi, thank you so much for sharing this video, it’s so helpful. But if you don’t mind me asking, how can I pull the rinse aid lid, mine is just like yours but it’s so tight, I cannot pull it out 😊
If I remember correctly, twist it to the left to open it and right to close. It can definitely be tight. I hope this helps! ❤️

I got a green paper that said to run hot water in the sink when starting it. Do you have to do that as well?
I have never heard that or done that. Not sure why other than if it takes a few minutes for the water to heat up from the water heater or furnace maybe? Luckily mine is fairly new so it's not been an issue.

I did that but it does not lock the entire washer ? I use to hear click lock . I’m still able to open the dishwasher ? How do I lock the door so it won’t open ?
I'm not sure, I haven't had issues with it so far. But I don't use the lock much honestly, thankfully so far, I haven't needed to. I do know that to change anything on mine, I have to push the buttons in hard, not just tap them
is it suppose to long for as long as it is right now??😭 i watched this video and started the machine a little over an hour ago and it’s still going. Am I suppose to stop it myself or it’ll stop on it’s own? And why is it so loud??😭
Mine does go for awhile, over an hour.
I have this model and I can’t turn off my heat dry. When I press the buttons like you do it’s just locks it it doesn’t deselect. Am I doing something wrong
I don't think you are doing anything wrong at all, I honestly think this model is just difficult when it comes to making adjustments and the buttons are difficult. I have trouble with this myself. I need to refer back to the manual when I get a chance. I have just left it on so far.
@@JJsComfortKitchen I’ve actually spoke with Frigidaire and they told me this model you can’t deselect air dry ( as I watch you do it) 🤦♀️and I had a technician come out
I honestly leave mine on the same settings and had to go back and watch myself do it again to remember how I did it lol. Those buttons are awful. But it did go off.
Also, the technician that installed mine showed me how to change things. When I made the video, it was much fresher in my memory as well. I have to remind myself sometimes 😅.
When i push start it doesnt start. Whats wrong?
I'm not sure why it wouldn't start. I have to push the button hard. It is also relatively quiet at first so I have to listen to make sure the water is flowing. The only other things I can think of would be to make sure it's plugged in and there's no issue with the outlet. If everything is otherwise working, you may need to call an appliance repairman.

Thank you so much! Mine in the apartment complex came without a manual and, was wondering IF i could use power dishwasher detergent IF I don't have liquid cascade .
Thank you to anyone who may respond 🙏 Also the other compartment was very hard to open, but i got it open and, add a little liquid dish detergent but it wouldn't show or see it thru the window 🤷

I know it's rated at about 54 db, but that's averaged out on the whole cycle including drying and filling. Can you tell me how many decibels the actual washing cycle is?

It takes over an hour to finish washing dishes.
How do you OPEN it, lol! They maintenance guy at my apartment installed it and showed me once but its hard to open! Lol! Do you push it in and pull? Mine wont budge.
Where mine says Frigidaire in the top middle, that's where you just grab it and pull it open. If yours is stuck, could it be locked? If you pause the video where I show the manual, that may help, also in other comments, I mentioned what it says about unlocking. I'm not able to get the manual and look again at the moment.

How was your lock. Mine does not lock . I want to be able to lock the door
I was confused what this dial is for so we're never suppose to touch it? It barely moves even so. And I didn't know it prefers cascade I used generic aldis cascade
Do I need rinse aid ? What is it ?
You don't have to use a rinse aid. But it helps prevent water spots on dishes and helps them dry faster.
I just bought a frigidaire, the rinse aid only worked 3 or 4 x's. Does anyone know why it isn't working? Yes, it is full. Thank you

Can I use a pod instead of the liquid?
yes :) where it shows what you can use on the dishwasher it says “Cascade Platinum ActionPacs” and if you look closely it shows an image of a little cascade pod - its what i use as well
Yes, you absolutely can. It's whatever your preference is. And it does recommend cascade. ❤️
Do i have to keep my detergent and rense aid full?
@@bro.ken7777 I usually add detergent right before I start and add rinse aid when I see it's getting low
when the cicle finish the soap is still there in the compartment :( if i used pods , and when is liquid sometimes still do that
I prefer liquid over pods because of it not always dissolving. I have heard you can put pods in the bottom of the dishwasher if they don't dissolve from the compartment. I'm not sure why the liquid would still be there though. I would maybe try putting a little less in there to see if that helps.
As far as the temp is considered I'm confused why there's a bottom? There's only one option high.
If you turn it off it turns to normal
How do you get the door open?
If you look at the logo where it says Frigidaire in the middle, that's where you grip it from under the black panel and just pull it open

It's interesting how these corporate vampires depend on YT, instead of including a short manual. You get more information when you buy a toothbrush./ I see you got a "guide". The only crap I got was a bad attitude from the delivery people. Buy cheap & the only thing you get included for free is disrespect. Thanks for the video.

What are you wanting to reset? On mine, many of the settings require pushing the buttons for about 3 seconds to make changes to the settings

@chrome2506 I have to push mine pretty hard, not just a tap or putting my finger on it, if you try pressing down harder and it still doesn't work, I would have a professional check it. Also if you have the manual, in case yours might be a little different, I would double check that's how your specific dishwasher is supposed to work. I hope that helps. ❤️😊
