    Супер урок! Мъчил съм се да правя нощни фотосесии, но все не съм бил доволен от резултата! Вече съм си купил гелчета и нямам търпение да изпробвам наученото :) Продължавай в същия дух!
    Great lesson! I've been doing some night photo sessions, but I've never been glade with the results! Now I've bought CTO gels and I can't wait to use the things I've learned :) Keep on the good work!

    Thanks for another one of your tips. Your work is certainly very nice and inspirational to make me go out and try to make similar beautiful imagery.. at least there's a lot of good info that's pretty clear to start as a basis and customize as needed.

      Looking forward to it. You have a great eye and are using the 135F to its full potential. Looking forward to more videos (in English too! Please! :) Have you considered the 1Dxii? Or are you happy with the 1Dx? I can't imagine your pics getting any better with the 1Dxii.. I think your artistic vision and eye will make any camera look great!

    Thanks for making English video. I really like your style and you always inspire me. I do have one question. Have you ever tried using continuous lighting for night portrait? Thanks!

    • @ilkoallexandroff
      @ilkoallexandroff  7 років тому +2

      Dennis DD thanks a lot, I got more videos in English coming soon! I don't use a lot of video lights in night, just because for me it's much easier and compact to do it with some small speedlight! I do it just sometimes, and I actually made a video on that topic, which I will be uploading soon!

    • @patnaly

      Ilko Allexandroff thanks! Can't wait to see the video. I've only done a few night photography but I usually use a small LED like the rotolight. I like your CB-60W softbox. Here in Canada and the US, I cannot find the CB60W they only have the CB60 so there are no grids. I have a friend who lives in Japan and she's visiting us next year. I want to ask her if she can buy me one and bring it here. Thanks again and keep those videos coming! Cheers!

    Awesome video! I recently bought the 135mm lens and I'm already in love with i!. I will definitely do more night portraits very soon!
    Much much post processing do you do to make the photos pop so much? Photoshop? Lightroom? Maybe a subject for a future video?

      @ilkoallexandroff  7 років тому

      Definitely I will make in future video about my post processing, although I am usually really quick with it, just take around 10 seconds!

    Great video, Ilko! Just wanna know what's power (f-stosp) of your strobe you're using usualy shooting night portraits? How close to the subject you put your cactus? 1m , 2 m?

    • @ilkoallexandroff
      @ilkoallexandroff  7 років тому

      NEK Groupe thanks a lot, happy to hear that! For night portraits I'm basically at quite low power, like 1/32, 1/64! You can check my video for night portraits as well, I'm talking about it too: ua-cam.com/video/1bDAIM2K5Mc/v-deo.html

      Great to read that! I use the filter both in macro photography and portrait photography. I also use other colour filters:
      - Orange filter applied in macro:

      www.flickr.com/photos/unsuibz/31649884286/in/album-72157659379375299/
      - Orange filter applied in portrait: www.flickr.com/photos/unsuibz/25442974604/in/album-72157653830855559/
      Other filters:

      - www.flickr.com/photos/unsuibz/31687388635/in/album-72157659379375299/
      And no worries, i watch almost every video you bring to us, even if you talk in Japanese!
      I love your vids!
      Hope it rains soon there! :)

    Hi.. I really liked the video. Need to understand few points if shooting in night or background as tungsten light :
    1. CTO on my single speedlite assume either On Camera or OCF.
    2. Above it is a white diffuser. say MagMod , GaryFong
    Question :
    What should be the camera WB ? 3200k or around that ?
    Tried this , but subject turned out to be full YELLOW and the pic looked really bad. :( .
    Thanks

      It is the CTO 1/1, so I use the strongest orange in most situations! Just sometimes I use the 1/2 too!

    What's easier? Convincing you to make more English videos, or learning Japanese?
