Jazak Allah Khair for making this video, i specifically asked you for it in the comments; not sure if you did read that comment and it affected your decision to make this video, in any case I'm grateful. Unfortunately, I feel this specific ayah is a big test for believers as it cannot be recomciled to ahlul-kitab specifically since we come at them by saying they give certain attributes to Allah that don't befit His majisty, when our quran and sunnah also contain those things, but require deep understanding. Their response could simply be that those texts that give Allah those unbefitting attributes in their books also require deep understanding as well so we shouldn't object to their books. Like the hadeeth of the Surah for example, many of our scholars do say that it means Allah.
There's nothing unbefitting with regards this āyah. Al-Qurtubi explains this extensively in his tafsir, highlighting what the speaker mentioned as the 3rd position.
@@Jack-qz1lg I never said it's unbefitting, astaghfiUllah, I'd go out of the fold if I did! I said it requires deep understanding that is thoroughly explained in this very video we're commenting on. Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu brother, your videos have been very helpful to me alhamdulillah. I had a question regarding the change of masculine and feminine nouns while making dua. For example, in this dua: Allahumma anta rabbi, la illaha illa ant, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduk... I was reading this dua recently and someone told me that I had to change 'abduk' to 'amatuk' because I was female. Is this the correct way of making dua (changing all duas depending on masculine/feminine), or is it better to stick to how the dua is in the first place? If you could make a video on this, I would be really grateful. May Allah be pleased with your efforts and grant you Jannatul Firdous Al-'Alaa. Ameen ya Rabb.
Personally both the First, Second and Third explanations make sense, though the Third one sounds the most believable, the First one makes sense as it is very common in the Quran, but might be a bit far-fetched for this exact case but it could be the case also, the second speaks the truth, Yes it is Allah's Words and this is how He decided to word it in His Wisdom. And the Third one makes the most sense because even in English we use the word "Wonder" to also mean Amazed or Amused. Just search up the synonyms of the word Wonder and then it makes a lot of sense why Allah in His Perfect Wisdom decided to use this wording. And Allah knows best.
Could the other reason not be that Allah s.w.t. used irony here? There is a saying in English aswell called "Truly makes you wonder huh?" Which can be used ironically and sarcasticly to describe an actual known matter between two people that redicule a third party about its behavior and or understanding of X-Subject matter..
jazakallah brother, I want to ask that what is the meaning of word رُءیا in surah isra verse 60 in Context to miraj mentioned in Quran. plz tell me that bcz many people like Hadith rejectors and other misguiding scholars use this verse to say that miraj was dream. plz respond to it.
Salam alaykum akhi, just 1 question. Would "But I *already* *wondered* as they ridicule" be more applicable meaning as Allah has the prior knowledge of whats going to happen?
The Different Stages of Man Allah says: اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِن ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَةً Allah is He Who created you in weakness, then gave you strength after weakness, Here Allah points out how man passes through different stages of creation, one phase after another. He is originally created from dust, then from a Nutfah, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh. Then he becomes bones, then the bones are clothed with flesh, then the soul is breathed into him. Then he emerges from his mother's womb, weak and thin and powerless. Then he grows up little by little, until he becomes a child, then he reaches the stage of puberty, then he becomes a young man, which is strength after weakness. Then he starts to get older, reaching middle age, then old age and senility, weakness after strength, so he loses his resolve, power of movement and ability to fight, his hair turns grey and his characteristics, both inward and outward, begin to change. Allah says: ضَعْفًا وَشَيْبَةً يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاء /// تم جعل مِن بعدِ قوةِ ض then after strength gave (you) weakness and grey hair. He creates what He wills. He does whatsoever He wills and controls His servants in whatever way He wants. وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمِ الْقَدِيرَ And He is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful.
My Fellow Muslim This Authentic Dua Will Help You. This Dua Will Cure Laziness, Inability, Cowardice, Debt, Worry, Grief, etc. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمَ وَالْحَزَنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرجال Allahumma inni a'oodhu bika min al-hammi wa'l-hazani wa'l ajzi wa'l-kasali wa'l-bukhli wa'l jubni wa dala'i ad-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry, grief, helplessness, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, the burden of debt, and being overpowered by men. Sahih Bukhari 7/158
Allah is never surprised. One meaning of the verse could be, "No, but where as you marvel, they only scoff." Note. At the creative power of God and also at the blind arrogance of those who deny it. Allah o Masta'an
"بل عجبتُ ويسخرون "and "بل عجبتَ ويسخرون", aligning them with God's power and the rejection of resurrection. First Possibility: God's Refutational Wondering (يتساءل مفحِمًا) In the "بل عجبتُ" reading, God expresses a form of divine wonder, not in the sense of ignorance or uncertainty, but as a rhetorical refutation of the disbelievers’ denial of resurrection. This aligns with other Quranic passages where God challenges human arrogance, such as: "وقالوا من أشد منا قوة؟ أولم يروا أن الله الذي خلقهم هو أشد منهم قوة" (فصلت: 15) (And they said, "Who is stronger than us in might?" Did they not see that Allah, Who created them, is greater in might than them?) "خلق السماوات والأرض ولم يَعْيَ بخلقهن" (الأحقاف: 33) (He created the heavens and the earth and did not tire in creating them.) This suggests that God's "wonder" is a rhetorical device to expose the absurdity of their denial-a form of divine reproach and challenge. Second Possibility: The Prophet’s Wondering at Divine Revelation In the "بل عجبتَ" reading, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself is astonished by the depth of divine revelation-perhaps specifically by: The fate of rebellious devils who try to steal divine words but are chased away with flaming meteors. The disbelievers’ arrogance and mockery despite the clarity of truth. This aligns with Hud and ‘Ād's arrogance, where they mocked the warnings of destruction, just as the Quraysh mocked the Prophet ﷺ. Conclusion: A Layered Meaning Both readings add richness to the text: "بل عجبتُ" → God rhetorically wonders (استفهام استنكاري مفحِم), exposing their flawed logic. "بل عجبتَ" → The Prophet ﷺ wonders at the disbelievers’ mockery and the unseen realities of divine punishment. Allah knows best!
I think it makes sense if the action is attributed to Allah SwT. I think it implies Allah’s reaction/disapproval at the bravado of those who are laughing; as to the fact that they wouldn’t be laughing if they really knew what this attitude would result in (Allah’s severe punishment)

عجبت with dama might mean that allah was surprised of you prophet being surprised (meaning it is something clear for allah to know how they will react )
As-salaamu'alaykum, is it wrong to think that Allah S.W.T preferred the meaning of 'Ajibta to be conveyed because it was revealed in 6 out of the 10 modes of recitation (the modes that He directly taught the Prophet SAW via Jibril through Wahi), compared to 'Ajibtu which was only 3. Or is this wrong?
Wa alikom asslam brother, Barak Allahu feekum. No, that is not accurate actually, we do not have evidence on that .. If anything, many scholars actually preferred the qira'ah of dammah, because it is the Qira'ah that ابن عباس and ابن مسعود recited. But it is not 'more' correct or something.
There are many recitational variations of the Qur'an. You should watch a few videos to understand the nature of these variations. Ustadh himself has a few videos on the qira'aat.
Our dear teacher. In my opinion you are now covering things which aren't very useful and we do not need to know. Can you give us a series on arabic language, precisely arabic grammar and morphology. Also, can you please pick a random surah like surah saad, and give us a gramatical breakdown of it (perhaps along with the word meanings and tafseer, also if you could breakdown the root of each word and the seegha it is in and explain to us how such nouns attained their meaning from that root, for example the word hadhaarah for civilization attained its meaning from the root hadhara bc hadhara doesn't only mean to be present, but it also means to be present and impactful with your presence), being authentic, upon salafi aqeedah, and not introducing anything weird. If you do this for us, you will be from the extremely rare ones doing such content on youtube in English language. Please my dear teacher, I want to learn arabic grammar especially in quraanic context, it will help me to both memorize and understand the quran. Please, I know you are capable of teaching us this and we cannot find anyone to teach us this. Please, I beg you. You must focus on what I said in this comment (I mean along with focusing on Qiraa'aat is ok but the arabic stuff is far far far far far far more important). Thanks.
This video is not useless. The professor addresses both the Arabic language and its variations, Tafsir and Tawhid in particular Tawhid Asma wa Sifat because he recalled the fact that one must have the belief of not making the Creator resemble His Creature. Morphology (Sarf) videos require much more preparation and research time and not everyone who follows this channel is capable of understanding Sarf lessons. The professor chooses to cover topics that he considers useful for his audience so that his channel is well referenced and can be useful to a wide audience.
Please start a series teaching the different qira'at

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُم مِّن "ضعۡفࣲ"۔۔۔
(Surah Rum, 54)
(Both "ضَعف" with Fathah and "ضُعف" with Dammah in Hafs)
The Different Stages of Man

Allah is He Who created you in weakness, then gave you strength after weakness,
Here Allah points out how man passes through different stages of creation, one phase after another.
Allah says:

Which video should I check to learn? Can you guide please
Allah is never surprised.
One meaning of the verse could be,
"No, but where as you marvel, they only scoff."
Note.
At the creative power of God and also at the blind arrogance of those who deny it.
Allah o Masta'an
"بل عجبتُ ويسخرون "and "بل عجبتَ ويسخرون", aligning them with God's power and the rejection of resurrection.
First Possibility: God's Refutational Wondering (يتساءل مفحِمًا)
In the "بل عجبتُ" reading, God expresses a form of divine wonder, not in the sense of ignorance or uncertainty, but as a rhetorical refutation of the disbelievers’ denial of resurrection.
This aligns with other Quranic passages where God challenges human arrogance, such as:
"وقالوا من أشد منا قوة؟ أولم يروا أن الله الذي خلقهم هو أشد منهم قوة" (فصلت: 15)
(And they said, "Who is stronger than us in might?" Did they not see that Allah, Who created them, is greater in might than them?)
"خلق السماوات والأرض ولم يَعْيَ بخلقهن" (الأحقاف: 33)
(He created the heavens and the earth and did not tire in creating them.)
This suggests that God's "wonder" is a rhetorical device to expose the absurdity of their denial-a form of divine reproach and challenge.
Second Possibility: The Prophet’s Wondering at Divine Revelation
In the "بل عجبتَ" reading, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself is astonished by the depth of divine revelation-perhaps specifically by:
The fate of rebellious devils who try to steal divine words but are chased away with flaming meteors.
The disbelievers’ arrogance and mockery despite the clarity of truth.
This aligns with Hud and ‘Ād's arrogance, where they mocked the warnings of destruction, just as the Quraysh mocked the Prophet ﷺ.
Conclusion: A Layered Meaning
Both readings add richness to the text:
"بل عجبتُ" → God rhetorically wonders (استفهام استنكاري مفحِم), exposing their flawed logic.
"بل عجبتَ" → The Prophet ﷺ wonders at the disbelievers’ mockery and the unseen realities of divine punishment.
Allah knows best!
They plan and Allah also plans and He is best of the Planners.

Good👍
is youtube ad halal your using
عجبت with dama might mean that allah was surprised of you prophet being surprised (meaning it is something clear for allah to know how they will react )
it doesn't mean "surprised", as noted by the speaker as the 3rd position, indicated by the language itself, and the tafāsir like Al-Qurtubi.
Which modes were not taught via jibreel?
It is wrong. Rather both ways are revealed by Allah, intended to be recited and believed in, and preferred.
Wa alikom asslam brother,
Barak Allahu feekum.
No, that is not accurate actually, we do not have evidence on that .. If anything, many scholars actually preferred the qira'ah of dammah, because it is the Qira'ah that ابن عباس and ابن مسعود recited. But it is not 'more' correct or something.
But wouldn't this mean that there would be 2 versions of the Quran? Or are all written in one way but taught to be recited as two?

Thanks.
This is useful
Don't speak for all of us. This was very useful for me.
