Cannot accept that the very species he sought to destroy so many years ago is the one that bested him. He refuses to believe it, he can't. It's in his nature to be superior then all others, but then this Saiyan he never knew existed, comes from nowhere, and becomes the Legendary Warrior that made him destroy Planet Vegeta in the first place. Frieza in the end caused his own demise. He doesn't get that, he just wants Goku to suffer, and using what little energy and power he has left, he decides instead of fleeing to potentially grow and accept loss, he aims, screams, and fires. Goku, who has truly believed Frieza will leave, turns seeing that in the end, Frieza truly wasn't like Piccolo or Vegeta, Frieza would never change. And in that moment, he let his rage go, and used it as a weapon, "YOU FOOL!" he says, in both rage and disbelief, overpowering Frieza's beam with ease and blasting what remains of him. with tears leaving the Saiyan's face, not because he was forced to kill. But because the Tyrant refused to accept loss. Goku vs Frieza will always be the best battle the series had, and honestly if the manga had ended here like it originally intended, I don't think anyone would be all too mad.
Dub? The English Kai dub is the best way to watch DBZ It's much better than the japanese dub infact japanese dub had only 159 episodes while the International dub had 167 episodes Kai international > KAI japanese
I want Kai with Japanese DBZ music by Kikuchi... That'd be amazing. Kai with Yamamoto is better than Bruce Faulconer, but Bruce Faulconer is better than the Kai Kikuchi replacement

One time when I was playing one of the tenkaichi games, I had Super 17 and my friend had Cell (I think). Anyway, we were low on health. I decided to fly away and be stupid. My friend shot an energy blast, I absorbed it, and said, "YOU FOOL!" and killed him with an ultimate.
this is pretty much the single best scene from dragonball z. I prefer the kai version because the actual quality of the voice acting is better in my opinion.

Part 5 and onward all will contain Kikuchi
Yep, it also shows in the way Frieza conducts himself. In his first form he used a pod instead of flying around himself and had his henchmen do most of his dirty work until the z-warriors started taking them out.

Frieza can be off doing one thing while his preserved lower body stays at base being worshiped. (Do you think Frieza's feet could survive the planet exploding on their own? It might not be too late to go back and fetch them. Frieza may have died, but his legacy can live on)
Kai was my introduction to Dragon Ball, and when I saw this scene that you fool sent a chill down my spine as a kid. Was kinda hoping I’d get that same feeling feeling here, but unfortunately no I didn’t.
I saw z kai on cw4kids one saturday. they restarted this entire season after frieza got cut in half. probably because they're working on the abriged series to these episodes as we speak. i dunno

Actually, no. The Kai dub follows the Japanese version, the ORIGINAL version, that much more. Frieza was designed to be aristocratic, full of himself. He's SUPPOSED to sound kind of like a big shot, rather than some gruff-voiced grandma brawler. If you look at the dialogue you can see where the differences lie...And if you forgot, Frieza kind of IS a prime minister, because he's ruling over dozens of planets; not to mention his race has hold over that many more planets and places. Trufax.
Is this why people are bitching about the Kai series; because they think it's some kind of kid friendly version? If anything, the original dubs are more kid friendly because of the edited script with silly american jokes!
I think Frieza left more of an impact win the original dub where he said, "I am mighty and you are not." and "You will die by my hand!" Way more menacing I felt.
