Great comment but if I can just say I wouldn't describe Joe and Scout as being "in" the wilderness I would say that they "are" the wilderness, there is no distinction in my eyes between nature and man/woman, because nature too, I.e trees etc is witnessing and observing the universe through its own unique lens just like us. At about 7.20, I heard you say that you were 'packed to the nines' - this saying is a variation on the "whole nine yards" which was the length of a canvas belt of 0.50" rounds for a Spitfire. There was nine yards of belt ammunition for each gun. After landing, a pilot would usually say to the ground crew - "I'll need the whole nine yards" :)
HEY JOE, huge 20 yr/o fan from Sweden. I really love your videos, and i have been watching all of them so far. Just a tip, when switching angle from the camera to the goPro, keep the audio from the camera cause its way better quality. Kind of destroys the effect of having two different camera angles when the audio switches. Sorry for my bad english, love from sweden

I do the eye crud thing for my cat. She loves having a clean toothbrush taken to her face for scritchies (one that's never been used for anything else, plus I wash it frequently). She doesn't like having fingers near her eyes (I can't blame her), but she'll thrust her face right into the toothbrush, rub all over it, & purr madly when I scrub her face all over so she doesn't have to do any of the work, lol. She's a white cat with pale greenish gold eyes that get a bit crusty every few days from irritants in the air, but the vet says that's normal for cats with low or pale pigmentation. I think maybe she feels like the toothbrush is grooming her, so I guess it's bonding time?

A little editing trick. 21:04 if you keep the audio from the big camera but run the video from the gopro as you unroll that thing... would have been cool :) Also, never run audio from a gopro unless that's the only thing you have.
Man the 47 minutes and 47 seconds flew by I was so in to it! really! It's over already? Really enjoyed that one. Man I was totally relaxed through the whole segment thanks Joe. Time for a Beer! Or should I say another Beer.

Hey folks...check out Girl in the Woods on Alone Season 4! She and her husband used white tarps and said it kept the depression at bay while they were starving and living in constant rain because it was so bright!

A white tarp... what a brilliant idea! Just noticed how "bright" everything looked under the tarp after you had everything set up (almost as if you had a fluorescent tube light installed). A nice additional feature.
Every summer I get to go out on wilderness trips for weeks at a time with my best friends through a summer camp program. This last summer was my last year and I am really missing nature and up north. Watching these videos gives me that dose of life that I need once in a while to keep me sane as I live in a busy city and not out in a forest
Yes, this is another re-playable video! This time, I thought the white colored tarp might make the most of available sunlight on cloudy days. Solid tents can change the mood if they are dark inside during daylight hours. Looking ahead, it is great that you are out for a multi-day adventure with Scout. I anticipate your building a fire reflector to get you through the colder nights--even with that 'awesome' sleeping bag/air pillow system. I can't wait for Friday!
