Spoiler alert: it is not. Pregnancy is finite in its length whereas most if not all actual disabilities are permanent. By Karen's logic: catching a cold = disability.

Growing up with a disabled sister, I used to ask cars to display the parking permit or move when they parked out the front of my store. There was more than one who told me to eff off so I'd call parking inspectors who would book tow trucks. Don't make my sister struggle because you're lazy.

New Brunswick here. Grocery stores have parking for pregnant women and people with small children.
People had a debacle at the superstore location that men with babies reusing the parking space and women were having a fit because a man shouldn't be using that parking space with a baby.
The management at the store was like
we realize, fathers take their children shopping to give Mom to break and they're more than happy to use those parking spaces too"
      Karen's we're not happy

I have 5 kids. I have never parked in handicap spots ever when I was pregnant. For the most park I parked near the cart returns. The more exercise you get when pregnant the better (with the all clear from your doctor). That woman needs to get her stuff together, get help from friends or family, or stop having kids until she can handle the kids and pregnancy care that both need.

I've actually called the cops on somebody that parked in the handicap spot that wasn't. $750 later he learned that he was not quick enough. But the cherry on top was the cop actually blocked his car and until the tow truck got there. yes it seems he did not learn from the first three parking violation tickets he'd gotten. They impounded his car he had to come up with the entire amount before he could have his three year old Range Rover back. 😂

Story 1: I really hate people like that pregnant Karen. You dont get special treatment just because you have kids. I know some stores have special spots for expectant mothers and the like, but that is zero excuse to park in a handicap spot, ever! Lady really needs to stop having kids, and the OP really had no reason to apologize to that woman at all, she did absolutely nothing wrong.
Story 2: Didn't the OP's job do a background check on Kevin here?? How did they miss that this guy had a parole? Glad the OP got off lucky here and left Kevin behind here. Dont want to get into trouble on the count of this moron.
Story 3: Closed for 6 hours? I wouldve left him there.
Story 4: Some people really dont know how to look i guess.....
Story 5: Yeah after 5 kids, i can totally see why people wouldn't jump up and down for a pregnancy like that. I'm sure the OP is happy for her sister, but you dont need to get all giddy for it.

1st story: my father is disabled, he was in the military and got injured and in result was medically discharged. I was driving him one time Bc he didn’t want to drive, because he’s handicapped and has a permit to park there, I parked there because he was with me. Someone walked up to me, and yelled when I got out, my father still in the car, “why’d you park there?! That’s for handicapped!” I was shocked and startled, I’m very introverted around strangers so I said, “ma’am my fathers handicapped.. he’s with me..” I was stuttering the whole time. She keeps yelling and then I walk to the back with her and point at the handicapped license plate. She looked at my father and said
    “Oh, well whatever!

It blows my mind when I see & hear about people who use handicapped spots solely for convenience and out of sheer laziness. I suppose their entitlement IS their disability

I hated it when ppl would try to twll me not to do something when I was pregnant like carry bags or boxes. And I'd never expect a seat when I was standing somewhere. To me it's like taking away some of my independence. I'm fully capable of living my life the same way I did before I got pregnant.

I have a tale about a person as stupid as Kevin in the 2nd story. Okay, so there was this kid at my school, the Kevin. This kid... he was another level of stupid. First, he was a jerk to every one of the teachers. Second, he was rubbing up against girls, if you know what I mean. He did get expelled from my school for this. After that, I thought I would never see, or hear about, Kevin again. I was wrong. This year, I got some information on him. I am one of those people that's really good at finding out about things I shouldn't. I don't ever use this info for bad, I'm just good at gathering it. Technically, I was not supposed to know this, but... It was kind of hard not to. I was however, one of the first people to know. Now that that's sorted out, I can tell you what he did. Kevin got expelled from his second school. Keep in mind, these were both catholic schools. He got expelled because he was caught smoking pot in the boys bathroom. However, not only was he caught, he was caught on video. And not only was he caught on video, that video was widely available to every. Single. Student. At that school. one of them eventually shared it with staff, and Kevin is being prosecuted by the state. Then, for my high school prep class this summer, guess who I saw? Kevin. I know he is being prosecuted because on of my friend's dad was selected for the case. He was legally not supposed to tell us, but it was too amusing not to.

It can be normal for us to come off as rude because we don't react as most neurotypical people would with as much outwardly expressed emotion or the "Wrong" emotion. I feel the vibe of the OP in a spiritual level and might have responded to the Am I the Jerk question with "no you're Autistic" without thinking because it sounds so much like something I would do/say as an Autistic person. Keep in mind I only speak for my own experiences and not for every Autistic person, I mean no harm by my words and simply found the relation interesting, I am not a doctor!

If you have more than 2 or 3 kids, I feel like you're being pretty selfish in societal terms. Like, damn, learn to use a condom. There's too many people and you don't need that many kids. Obviously the exception to this is if they were some combination of twins or *tuplets. That's just biology being screwy. But if you're pregnant more than 2 or 3 times, you need to settle down. You need higher aspirations than being a brood mare.

Ima start by saying that I DO NOT condone the behavior of the first story’s pregnant lady…… But if you’re in the comments and have never been pregnant then don’t fix your mouth to say “pRegNanCy iS nOt a hAnDicaP” when a handicap is defined as “a circumstance that makes progress or success difficult”. Also, the dad could definitely be at work ( ya know like supporting all them kids) and why she gotta have multiple bd. Y’all some goofy mfs. Would y’all treat y’all’s own mamas like this telling her she should’ve pulled out so now she gotta struggle🤔 give us our own parking then dammit!!

Last story: Its not everyday that someone in the family gets pregnant. Even if its the fifth time. The least you could do is put down the remote and show a little attention. Seriously - that game could have waited. And from someone who's seen it all: not all pregnancies wind up being the same. Sometimes they go bad.
