First of all... I'm a bank employee... In this case I would like to tell u Correct way for this type of problem... Ask that person to raise complaint in his bank that he has sent the money to wrong beneficiary.. So his bank will raise a chargeback request to the beneficiary bank and your bank will debit your account after receiving written confirmation from you... In this case u should hold wrongly received money in your account... So that u will not have any problem in future as all transactions taken place through bank...

It means the hacker stole the amount from someone & credited it to you, so later that someone will raise the complaint he will get back his money which was transferred to you... So the stolen payment will go back to where it came from... Hackers use these techniques & get extra amounts from Victim...

Its better to ask him/her to wait for 1 or 2 days and if the credited amount is not reversed by bank, then can transfer back. Because there is a possibility that genuine person might have transferred to wrong account through UPI payment.

It happened to me, But I was aware. they don’t actually transfer 10k to your account. They just request you to send 10k from gpay. So you will click on the notification and if you put your UPI pin, the money will be debited from your account.
