Yayyy I always love your yearly Hobonichi previews! 🥰 They really sprung the POTR and Cafe au Lait plaid zippered covers on us! I just checked and the product page for the Cafe au Lait lists the interior as cow leather (!), which paired with the plaid textile on the outside is a gorgeous combination. I love that it's a slimmer profile than the usual zipper cases, and totally agree with you that it should be a weeks cover -- I'd be sold! I also thought the Liberty Fabrics weeks was so lovely. I've been going back and forth on my options like a dozen times since the full reveal 😂but I've been really drawn to the sleekness and functionality of the POTR, especially now that they're available internationally. Can't help loving the Yumi Kitagishi Travel Journal cover, too! Ahhh so many possibilities!
Hey Jennifer! Thanks so much for watching. And, I can’t believe I missed that in the description about the Cafe au Lait being leather! That is so great. It will last longer for sure. Glad you agree that a Weeks Zip would have been perfect - could have used as a wallet too! Maybe a spring release? :) I can’t wait to see what you choose! And there sure are so many choices - I feel like they definitely upped their game. Yes, the POTR! Glad they came out with a black version - makes it so wearable.
I'm sad that they did not use the same quote "Have a nice day". The new quote seems sad to me...maybe that is just me. I don't want to have to explain that at work. Too bad because I love the A5 color this year. I believe the item I want most is the A6 Herringbone. Would love the Potr, not sure yet but super excited that we have that option now. I will just live vicariously through you if you get the gorgeous Taut Zipped Cafe.
I was thinking the same thing regarding that phrase. I definitely wouldn't want to explain it at work either. The colours are great though. The herringbone seems to be a popular choice too, not surprised because it's gorgeous.
I love the Beautiful Wallpaper weeks, too! Also the Lemon Water and Sweet Purple. That said, I’m normally a spring planner person, so I’ll wait and also see what theme Traveler’s puts out this year. The BW and LW weeks are very tempting, though.
The traveler's company 2025 release already has been announced on their instagram and I bet website too. I love the stickers and everything this year! Might I do a video on that too? I think yes ☺️ But yeah, so many temptations this year. Hm...
@@toxmot Omg, I don’t know how I missed that! Thanks for the heads up. I like stuff from both, so I’ll definitely have to decide which will work best for me. Would love to see a video from you on the Traveler’s stuff if you DO make a video on it! 😁
Through the purple night weeks cover is based on artwork done by Masamune Kaido and Junaida for Himitsu stranger, a music album. But it’s not anime related.
I’m totally in love with the taut zipped café au lait too!! It’s the drop that has me most excited this year. I also HAVE to go for the Pistachio Weeks Mega since I realized it’s so similar to brat green🤩😭 (as in, Charli XCX!!)
I'm leaning towards day free A6, from Hobobichi, I allowed my journalling to take as many pages as I needed, rather than diary style... Love my stappo, might get a mini stappo. (other accessories caught my eye) I was going to (might still) get a TN horizontal weekly for meal planning. But now I am thinking I might do weeks... (Oh the shopping for weeks accessories.)
I am still debating between the weeks, the sushi one works so well as a meal planner/cooking/recipe journal. And I’m willing to ignore the dates to use it as a recipe keeper/journal if I get the HON size. It’s such a cute little notebook! I’m not as much of a fan of the daily pages anymore so I might order a sterling ink weekly layout to use with my new Hobonichi cover. That way it’s less overwhelming. I like the mini Stappo-might get the white one.
Ah, for this year, I have a reallly over the top order list. But the ones I'm most worried about selling out is the A5 Yumi, the Weeks Yumi pencil board, the A6 Herringbone and the Hiroko Kubota weeks (I'm going to Japan for my honeymoon in 2025 and it feels so on theme)... I also really love the Alettone line, especially for travel and heavy duty days, as well as work meetings - they seem so versatile and the colors are fantastic!
@@RinasEssentials Yes, I hope there's no glitch in the order process. But the popular ones sold out in minutes last year. I have lot of stuff in my favourites but am going to trim it down!
I LOVE the Cafe Au Lait cover as well, but it's out of my price range, as I use multiple books and need to spread my funds a little bit. My top picks right now are: Twill A5 for journaling, Purple Through the Night weeks (the illustrations are not from an anime, but are based on a music album and its lyrical stories) which is going to be my EDC and the Harvest Plaid weeks for work. I also have my eye on the Tragen Weeks and a regular sized Stappo. There's some other products that are catching my eye (especially seeing other people's perspectives on them) so who know what I might end up getting!
The Twill A5 is a nice choice, I like the darker colour compared to the A6. There are A5 designs I like but unfortunately cannot use that size for a daily. Thanks for pointing that out about the music album, I wondered about that and thought I might have assumed wrong about it being an anime. It’s really beautiful and makes me want to check it out. I’m also interested in the Tragen Weeks. I have the A6 one and I love the material. Thanks for sharing your top picks! :)
My front runner is Mina’s Tambourine Jellybean (Weeks) something “Michelle” by Liberty Fabrics 😉 something from Paddington, and some of the new pencil boards 🤷🏼♀️ Great video ✨
I was very looking forward to the trifold leather cover this year because I love last year's silent night. The charcoal grey really underwhelms me this year though. I also happen to want the Cafe au Lait Plaid! 😆I am eyeing the A5 one since most of my A5 covers feel a bit loose or bulky, I am very curious about the snug feel of this one. (And its outside material is wool to boot.) For the weeks I might get Through the Purple Night because I want the pencil board that comes with it. I also love the leather one in Pomegranate.
Those are lovely choices! I hear you about the Charcoal Grey. I think previous years had more enticing colours. I think I would be bummed if I didn’t get the Cafe au Lait. I’m still debating though. Can’t believe there’s only 1 week to the store opening. Are you ordering direct from Hobonichi or local shop?
I must confess that I'm yet to try any Hobonichi product :( But am really keen to begin, so many thanks for showing this. You are dangerous Tiffany! You have me wanting a Plotter and now a Hobonichi of some sorts! :))
Thanks for this helpful video! My wish includes Kubota Crescent Moon Delivery A6 Hon, Kitagishi Beautiful Wallpaper Weeks, and three possibilities for A5: Kitagishi Letter, Unsodo Ferry, or the Taut Brown.
I own the Porter stroll (navy) and the small one (light blue) and I put my A6 HON together with my TN weekly insert. I’m glad that I got this as I don’t like the POTR branding. I also have a plotter mini & my friend had the mini 5 & bible & the mini 5 & mini will fit. You can probably get the A5 Porter to fit the Bible but not the A5 size; hope that makes sense. I will be getting the Taut cafe au lait plaid as that is leather. Also, if you’re interested in any Mina Perhonen designs & you want leather, you can only get the Mina piece (A6, weeks, A5) & the 5yr version (A6 & A5) because the rest uses PU. Also, Tsuchiya Kaban is gone for 2025 (you can see how they look like in 2024 backwards).
I absolutely had that problem when they launched the reveal. It lasted a good few minutes. I refreshed every minute and then finally it updated to 2025 🙂
Hii! I love that they got rid of the lottery for the Mina Perhonen covers, even though I probably won't be getting them This year was quite good. I still remember feeling a bit "let down" about the 2024 lineup. Maybe it was just me, ha!
I did feel underwhelmed a bit last year. And I know that it was not just us lol. I didn't order much stuff last year and didn't even do an unboxing. I really hope I can experience it in full again. I'm definitely not underwhelmed this year...moreso overwhelmed by all the new stuff 😊
I love bunnies, and think the Mina bunny ears one is really cute. I always seem to like the colors in the A6 more, and love the colors in the A6. Here is my concern. They call the fabric linen. Is it? I ordered Symphony last year and the fabric feels like polyester. I have a Mina cover for my 5 year and the fabric is a cotton/linen, which I love. I just was so disappointed last year and don’t like the feel of the fabric. I also am wondering about the Tambourine for this year.
Hm..I have one Mina zip cover, "ohayo". That one is very like a textile and definitely more like textured fabric. I looked up the symphony cover you mentioned and I'm surprised it feels like polyester. In the photo it looks like textured fabric. Maybe try to zoom in to the product shots as sometimes it could clue in on the actual feel of fabric. I've had this happen with other non-hobonichi things. Whichever you pick, I hope your experience will be better than your previous! 🤞🏼
I'm sad they dont have Makino, but maybe they are planning it for a spring release or something. Right now i plan to get the Liberty Fabrics Weeks, the 2024 Hollyhock hobonichi cover , and the Liberty Decadent Blooms Ańe drawer pouch - also from a previous lineup but they still have it. The drawer pouches have been refreshed in the spring launch before. There's a good chance that they will update a new makino weeks at that time too. Fingers crossed of course 🤞🏼 Those are great selections, and I love the ane drawer pouch.
The A5 Kagome Lattice Crest is nice. But I will not buy! The interior is PU and in no time, it will turn bad. It is so painful to see it rotting away! I am experiencing it now with the older ones made in PU.
Oh no, thanks for reminding me. That makes the price so not worth it! I know what you mean about the PU peeling. I’ve seen photos of it and it’s just horrible. It’s so sad because it’s a beautiful cover with nice textile on the outside :(
