I like Ink Master, but here's why ... I usually zip through all the challenges and the drama of the competition and go straight to the end product and the judging. That's where I learned about things like blowouts, saturation, line work, being realistic about what tattoos can be and achieve, and my own expectations. What to look for in my own artists. My first couple of tattoos, I walked in off the street, took the first person available, and picked flash off the wall. My first couple of tattoos are crap. Armed with some knowledge, I started understanding what to look for, looked at portfolios online, zoomed in to line work, saved my money for the best artists I could afford, and waited for months for appointments to see them. My tattoos are vastly better now than before I learned what to look for. I also like any tattoo show where I get to hear what a tattoo means to a client. Idk. I don't like all the drummed up drama or the flash challenges or stupid conditions that tattooers will never have to face. I like the educational aspect. Anyone who has ever tattooed me hates the show, though, so I'm not surprised you hate it! I guess there are more options for people to educate themselves on what to look for before they start getting scratchy tattoos than there were before, with the advent of UA-cam, but NGL, 20 years ago it didn't exist. But when I watched Ink Master, it changed the way I looked for artists and what kind of designs I asked for.
You defo should be proud of the community you've built on your tattoo channel, and the values and ideas you promote. You clearly care deeply about your craft and the future of the art of tattooing you have specific thoughts an ideas on the culture and the community but don't position yourself as the gospel while also recognising the positive role and contributions you can make to the change you want to see. This is definitely good for future tattooists to see and aspire to, the channel will definitely grow magnanimously too :)
Ink master was sooo script that apparently they were told how to dress, which I always thought to my self "who tattoos dressed like that" lol....I only saw the 1st and 2nd season after that I lost interest when the the intro showed the artist practically decapitation them self's...and once again talk about gate keeping with ink master ..
@@joseestrada395 nope. Sharron screamed at their staff to run back inside the smoke filled, burning house to grab her stuff or lose their jobs. she gleefully told the story on TV cause she thought it was a hilarious anecdote.
