Great video! The only thing I would add to the instructions is to allow the beeswax to cool down slightly before adding the essential oils; when essential oils are added at hotter temperatures they can evaporate causing the scent to not be as strong as you like. Also, try giving the perfume a few days to "develop" before deciding whether or not more oils are needed.
I made this perfume with yellow beeswax, almond oil, lavender, peppermint, orange and jasmine essential oils. When it cooled down, I could not smell anything except the beeswax which I found disconcerting. Simply adding more essential oil did not make the scent any better. Would white beeswax or even soy wax be better? Or is there a method that helps reduce the beeswax smell?
Cider oil? Ummm... do you mean cedar wood oil? I believe that's what you said but is written out as cider. If not... what is cider oil. I've been using essential oils since i was a teen & never once heard of cider oil!!
I made solid perfume with yellow beeswax, almond oil, and essential oil mix, the scent only lasts on about 10 minutes, is there anything I can add for the scent to be long lasting? thank you
I know it may seem a bit weird but is it possible to use coco butter or Vaseline rather than beeswax? You see I have everything other than the wax. If not what else can I use? I can't seem to find any beeswax here in the uk c: thanks !
no because you need something to combine the ingredients. oils don't mix but when used with an emersifer (thats spelled wrong), it allows for the oils to mix together. Vaseline seals in moisture but does not mix, coca butter is already lotion and won't give you a good mix, it will end up separating.
You could get birthday candles, the are made out of soy wax which works perfectly the same. Make sure that if it has any pattern scrape it off. Hope it helped
I guess you could, the only thing is, that coconut oil solidifies at room temperature. Jojoba oil does not. But because it is a solid perfume anyway, it probably wouldn't even matter
Coconut oil has a distinct coconut scent to it, so unless you want a coconuty scent in your perfume, you should either use Fractionated coconut oil or deodorised coconut oil, not regular coconut oil.
In theory you can use whatever oil you want. The reason why many use Jojoba Oil in these methods is because Jojoba oil works really well with Skin. Hope that helps.
@Tyler Beckett Yes Argan Oil will work well too. Once you can tell the difference betwee a light and heavy oil, you will understand that you can make changes in any recipe. The lighter the oil, the lighter it is on the skin. The heavier the oil, the greasier the end feel and it will be more moisturizing. So for a solid perfume, you dont want to use an Oil which is too heavy, lighter oils will work just as good.
Can I use virgin coconut oil instead of jojoba? It's quite difficult to find jojoba in my locality 😃👍 I intend to make one with grapefruit essential oil. Cheers
Good video, but wrong. Essential oils are not supposed to be exposed to that kind of neat. You mix carrier oil and beeswax and then cool it down and mix in the EO. Also EO are never measured in drops. This process is interesting but absolutely not to be followed.

Wondering if there is a suggested subsitute for Beeswax?
you mean regular perfume? i doubt that, since it contains water and acohol which beeswax melt won't mixed :)
can you use coconut oil in place of jojoba oil
Definitely! They both have similar relatively long shelf lives (~5years) too which is a bonus.

Please can I kindly ask which Essential Oil Brand you prefer to use when making solid perfume? Thank you very much for the tutorial.
Where can I buy beeswax one bulk ?
dont you think its a little bit wet or maybe liquid
Do you have to use Jojoba Oil as the base? Are there cheaper oils to use?

Can I ditch the beeswax and just put the rest of the ingredients on a glass roller bottle?
no
NaRdOsF yes
Of course, the beeswax is just a wax to solidify the perfume.
Does it contain alcohol
No, they show all of the used ingredients
Thanks for the knowledge. Great!!
It sounds great!
could I use vitamin e oil instead of jojoba oil?
nice video thnx for share
all i do is freeze perfumes!!
Problem is they are still to liquidish comparing to solid perfumes you can buy.
I think essential oils should not be put in hot beeswax tks for sharing

can i use candle wax non scented ? much cheaper then bees wax easy to get
and can i use my hi end perfume say 30 sprays ..
Candle wax is for candles...
bees was is for skin...
Apples and oranges..
I dont know where i can find it in my country
unless this is suppose to solidify, im pretty sure this is still liquid perfume...
It's beeswax, of course it has to solidify
Who has half of that
Nice pronunciation dude.
bees wax is not an emulsifier, you would need to get an emulsifing wax to do that.
And your statement is full of rudeness and negativity,Sir Norris.
She looks a bit tired...
you look tired.
.........
Just melt a candle into an old makeup thingy
