How To Repair a Broken Shock Mount on a Jeep

In this video, my neighbor helps me to repair a broken shock absorber mount on the rear axle of a Jeep Wrangler YJ. These mounts are affordable but need to be welded by a professional.

Great neighbor. My driver side shock mount broke. 2013 Jeep Wrangler. 77, 000 miles. Never beat it. I would think it would last longer on mine.

Looks great! I am about to cut off my old shock bolts with a Dremel, anyone know if there is any risk keeping the gas tank mounted?
Seeing him weld near it makes me think it should be fine since it won't be long.
