I love doing 1k in a days. I try to bang out a few a year. I usually only stop for gas, use that for a bathroom break, grab a drink, a quick snack and eat it while I'm walking around to keep the blood flowing. Good tips man!
I thought about doing it but like you said, people talked about the horror stories. I felt like if it’s not going to be enjoyable why do it. You seemed like you had a good time. Most of the video, IG and posts I see just be of road and stress. You actually captured the scenic parts along the way. I can’t wait to watch the video. Congratulations!!!!

I own a 2008 GSX-R 750 sportbike. That would be IMPOSSIBLE at my age on my current motorcycle. I would have to add a Goldwing or something similar to my garage to be able to accomplish something like that.

Everyone says Harley's are comfortable. I wouldn't know. I ride an '87 Gold Wing. Have thought about trying a 1000 mile ride but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. A couple years ago on s ride from NY to Montana I got on the road at 7AM in Cleveland and rode hard. I wanted to clear Chicago before rush hour. I was through Chicago about 1PM. Kept going and stopped just after dark a little north of Omaha. When I calculated the miles it was just short of 900 miles. Could have gone 1000 if I was on the road at daybreak. I don't ride at night. At 74 years old my eyes don't work very well. On that trip I averaged 700 miles per day for four days.
@@richardahola692 I understand man. I'm thankful that my eye vision is great at this time. I don't mind riding at night at all. Just have to be extra careful. You can definitely cover alot of ground at night(less traffic). You could have did man👍🏿!!
