I was looking for vids about using RS3 pro with sliders and here you are with the exact slider I had in mind. I guess this is the poor man's motion control. I've been wanting a slider for a while and a change in my business focus might justify finally getting one, but I was wondering if I could pair it with the gimbal like here and achieve repeatable movements, or would I need something like the Zeapon with Pan/Tilt head for that (or is there another alternative I'm not thinking of).
Yeah the value proposition was there for me with this slider. I haven’t had time to test if you could do repeatable gimbal moves. The start timing for the gimbal and slider would be hard to execute. I think it would just be pressing go and the same time. Hopefully it’s that simple and works well. Once I get a day off I’ll try give it a go.
Great to hear! I’m not sure if you could sync them together, but you could try the ‘create’ menu in the DJI app and set up a ‘track’. It would be pretty hard to time it so it repeated at the exact same time though. Definitely worth a crack though!
I was thinking about this same setup. Are you happy with the results? My initial thoughts of the slider is that it's not so smooth. I have the S60 version
This is so cool . Did you try a 360 /180 roll shot while the slider moving? That would be sick . Also what are the supporting rails you were using with the tripod ? Can you please tell me about that
The supports are called: Toprig Accsoon Support Rod SR-01, I think they were about $60 aus or so. I won’t have time to try roll shots this week but I will give that a go next week.
Yeah I’m sure it would, as long as you took the battery off the gimbal and used the adapter to power it otherwise the gimbal would be too high in the centre of balance would be out of place.

@@videographerstuff539Thanks for the quick reply. That would be great! I'd love a longer vid with a bit more detail on operating these two together?
I just got the S60 today! Do you know if you can set ‘A-B’ points on loop on the RS3 Pro? Would be a cool robot arm feature if you could sync them 🤩

What battery adapter is that, the smallrig?
Hey! Yeah it’s the Smallrig one, defs helps get that lower centre of gravity
I’m pretty happy when using my r5c, the lighter weight helps

@@videographerstuff539 sounds good thank you
Hi, Will it work on DJI RS3 Gimbal? 😊
Yeah I’m sure it would, as long as you took the battery off the gimbal and used the adapter to power it otherwise the gimbal would be too high in the centre of balance would be out of place.
