As I have thick and curly hair, definitely Murray's. But as a stand alone I would pick Dax for better shine and stickyness. I only go with combos anyway so Murray's is my choice.
Mate, your reviews are simply awesome. You have really helped me find my way through the maze of classic pomades and I truly thank you for this. I do very much like Nu Nile and Dax Neat Waves ( orange tin) 👊🏻
I find Murray’s really good when you apply it as a base coat then after put super light on top of it allowing it to have the hold and shine and malleability.
Love this format. And the way you said 'Product battle' proves that you can very easily front a Death Metal band. Looking forward to seeing more of these
Did you find that Murrays was stronger and kept it's hold better than Dax? I've used Dax a fair few times and it just doesn't hold my hair the way I wanted it to.
Do you want slick back, pompadour, rock style? 👉Murray's👍 Anime style?👉Dax wave and groom(red can)😆for young people i recommend this last, its suuuuuper strong, but so difficult to wash it( 2 or 3 washes)
Hey man, what are the least known greaser hairstyles? A pompadour and an elephant's trunk doesn't really suit me. And also, I've noticed your content is improving, keep it up!
no name The executive contour (which is what I have) is really underrated, basically a vintage side part hairstyle with a little wave/bump at the front and tapered sides and back. As the name implies it was big among business executives, dapper gentlemen, Hollywood actors, and pretty much any man in the 50s and a lot of greasers had them too.
@@pomadesandpompadours6309 thanks for the reply, man! Do you think sporting a DA at the back would go well with the executive contour? We have the same hairtype btw.
no name That's great for a more greaser twist to the contour. However if you have the exact same hairtype as I do, I don't recommend a DA - it takes such a long length to grow it and even at the appropriate length it's not easy to form a DA, it keeps falling apart. That's one of the reasons why I converted to a tapered contour
Hey Squinty great review..but, would you say that Dax is more for natural straight hair, and Murray’s for natural kinky hair? Curious after realizing Dax, is based out of Ireland...and Murray’s, out of Michigan.
My first pomade was a chmiere (rumble59) water based got ripped for the price of 20friking dolass this was on my vacation visiting familly in russia... yes russia i used it evry day to go to school trow it in the hair and go tipe... then next summer i came back at the same barbershop of corse no one nows and remembers me and i never forget it i have taken 2 cans of murray's ended up paying 20dolars cuz of the import tax. I never came back there cuz the place was a rip off and now i new that i can get pomade evrywere... that evening open up the can i shampoed my hair the day before so it was bone dry icy cold desert tipe dry take 2 scoops do a 200mile an hour hard swig at my scalp... i felt regret so deam hard the murray's can was left under the cold ac in the car for 2 hours in trafic so u can imagine dry a** dandurff hair plus ice cold murray's. So i put it in the dandurff dry hair shampoed the day back and roll with it, i was stressing thinking the date was off but there were no date so i tried to get it of my head with one shampoo and as you now it didnt work... for the rest of the week evry one told me that i had dirty hair... great intruduction to oil based pomades! Sry for the english its my 3rd lunguage.
Team Murray's or Team Dax? Which side are you on? Let's see your replies to this comment thread!
Dax
Stand alone Dax, but combos with lights pomades Murray's all day.

I like both; but I kept Murray's on my shelf over Dax.
Very cool vid! Thank you for this, brother.
Let me ask this. What is the best pomade you have ever used and would recommend to anyone?
Love this format. And the way you said 'Product battle' proves that you can very easily front a Death Metal band. Looking forward to seeing more of these

Also the flat top and ivy league are not sported a lot but these are my least favorite greaser hairstyles to be honest
