    That bike is a badass looking bike. I never ride a bike before that have that type of handlebar before. I’m more used to the flat bars type of bike.

    I have this bike as well I love it I have noticed that if I gear down and carry a high cadence my overall mileage is dramatically higher

    Would you prefer a hub drive gravel bike instead? Given the fact that it may be more easy to pedal with battery off -> (cover longer distance or several day excursion)

      We would definitely favor a mid drive gravel bike specifically with what is available from brands. However there have been a handful of hub powered gravel bikes that have impressed us in performance and price point.

    Thank you for your great video!!! I want it!! Only one question, it is possible to take out the battery to charge it at home (where I can not have the bike ;-). Thanks!

      It uses the Bosch Powertube 500, you can remove it with a key and store or charge it off-bike.

    Thank you for your video. Is it possible and fun to ride with this bike and the bosch motor over the speed limit when the motor is off. Is there to much friction when the motor is off or the bike is too heavy to ride with the motor off ? In Europe the speed limit is 25km/h. This is lower than in USA. Thanks

      Thanks!
      It is possible. There isn't noticeable friction or drag from the motor itself. Comparing it to the non e version, with a ~20lb difference there are inherit differences in the amount of force and energy it takes to pedal higher speeds. That being said, is it fun, absolutely. Having put about 1000 miles on the e9, blips around town or long downhills, I frequently rode it off and if going for longer rides over 50 miles, would cycle through the PAS modes to extend the range and if I had to pedal the last 10+ miles home with a dead battery I would wager the fun had up to that point made it worth it.

    Is this bike tubeless equipped when you buy it? Or tubeless ready only ?

    • @ElectricBikeJournal
      @ElectricBikeJournal  2 місяці тому

      This bike new will be tubeless compatible, meaning the rims are taped for a tubeless setup. However the Schwalbes it comes with are not tubless ready tires, so you would need to get different tires and sealant to get set up, I believe a new one would come with tubeless valve stems though.
