I love art work. A similar layout to the Ford Thames, Standard, and Commer from the same period. Back then, at least the vehicles actually looked interesting.
I guess these were sold in Australia back then, but I was only 15 months old at the time that brochure was produced. The only "commercial vehicles" that I have strong memory of when I was a preschooler were the horse and cart of the "fruito" and the baker! If it was still possible to buy one of the 13 seater minibus version, Filipinos would love it. They'd also manage to get more than 13 people on board! I have to say that your channel is my favourite car related channel on UA-cam. Maybe it's a small channel, but it's quality!
Very interesting look s a typical 50s van. Way behind the Transit, yes, but also the 400E Thames, which, I think, was launched the same year. Always amazed at the artwork of brochures of the era. There were some fantastic artists at that time.
Would not be going anywhere in a hurry, with 42bhp,on a van, this size.Only have 39bhp in my Piaggio Porter diesel truck, but it's considerably smaller then the Morris.
Credit to the artwork & graphics from that era. amazing how the technology of photography within a few years changed advertising. Lost art, the skill of people that could draw to that standard. My parents had a Austin J2 "Dormobile" Camper based on the minibus format in the 70's Was a gutless piece of #$%. To go anywhere was embarrassing slow must of been a 1500cc until dad ( aircraft engineer) dropped a MG 1622 twin carb in it. Held its own after that at least could overtake and get up a hill. But was dated compared to Bedford CF or Transit. BMC Maroon - all the paint work cracked, spilt & peeled. People round the road had an A55 & seen a Morrie, same colour that did the same. Strange what these you tube vids make you remember.
as a kid in the seveties I bought Matchbox Morris J2 Pickup at a jumble sale with commer milkfloat.
That starting handle will come in handy!
I love these, and the Ford Thames vans/ etc.
A bit like the Standard ATLAS vans!
Perhaps you could do a review of that!

Very true
Very nice brochure. Like the beetle, the Morris Minor has a van bodied counterpart. Fascinating that car was converted to a forward control set up.
Nice colours
nice too see this moris j2, this van is rare model that time, now thos van is no more on the road now

Thank you that’s very kind of you to say

Fabulous artists.
The Transit was also available as A 3 LITRE. Just what you WOULD need, if you had a minibus on an "extended journey," or had heavy things to carry.
Or a bank to rob...😮

A slower paced world for sure.
