I’m glad this is not on VLAD channel. Bringing our voices home.
For real lol, I thought VLAD changed his location because the voice sounds very familiar lol I can’t stand VLAD
1,000% agree
Thinking the same damn thing lol
Why even mention VLAD on this platform?

I absolutely loved this interview with DougEDoug! He says what it is without being degrading to anyone or any situation
Executed perfectly
He still has the same laugh I remember from my childhood. Y'all remember when he was in Class Act?
One of my favorite 90s movie bro!!! Big facts 💯

Great interview! A perfect example of how to discuss the big picture and complexities of Cosby, his commitment to Black people, his power, and his humanistic defects. Seeing the Big picture....is sometimes a blind spot...that will keep us caged and oppressed.
Agreed! 💯
Wonderfully put
Dude with a serial rapist and that invalidates everything else he did stop that bullshit.
@@williegreen9102 it no more invalidates Cosby's overall contributions than it does say for Thomas Jefferson (serial rapist and pepophile), George Washington (rapist), Ben Franklin (enslaver), and the list can go on and on. They stole, raped, and murdered people and land...yet they are celebrated and lionized to this day (check your wallet and oh...you may have graduated from a high school named after one of them). Additionally, Doug E Doug could have taken the road traveled by many (see your comment)...but he chose not to....with balance and thought...without parroting.
#faxxxx Unlike most other terrible men, he actually added some value to folks in between being super terrible
He hit the nail on the head when he said parents tell their kid those things everyday. Some people forget that when they make it to a certain place or position in life.( not condoning any wrong doings)
Doug is a grown man. He answered these questions well. The maturity. His voice needs to be heard more. Grown man perspectives.
I remember Doug E. Doug not only from that second Cosby show, which I liked, but also from a nice little sitcom he had on ABC that he co-created called We Live Here, about life in a black neighborhood that only lasted a season in 1993, and the film Hanging With The Homeboys. Forgot he was in Cool Runnings, too. He was always fun to watch, no matter what he was in---he seemed to be everywhere in the early-to-mid-'90s, and then like a number of black actors from that era, he just vanished onscreen. I've rarely seen him do interviews, so this is cool to see.
He’s always been a mature person, his roles play immaturity.
Great interview, good to see a legend in the game age gracefully.
I appreciate this interview and Doug E. Doug’s approach to dealing with all of what happened with Cosby; it’s the maturity aspect in both that I love.
It’s really good to see Doug E Doug!
Cosby was trying to buy NBC in the 20th Century. He was exposed well into the 21st Century.
@@Fahima90 what does that have to do with seeing Doug E Doug?
@@Kingzall In the interview the host raised the question of Cosby's attempt to buy NBC being the motivation behind the sexual assault allegations against him.
Black been hiding; good to see him.
Big up Doug E. Doug. 🇯🇲. The maturity and clarity throughout this entire interview was commendable. Also, the interviewer did a great job. Wholesome discussion.
🔥These Dougie Doug interview clips are fire.
Doug E. Doug would be great in a reboot of Uptown Saturday Night.. either Cosby's or Sydney Poitier's character
This idea is ✊🏽
Definitely could do Bill almost look like the way Bill looked in that movie especially with his look during this interview
Yes!
Facts
Hell yeah that would be a good idea..
Thank you for doing this interview. Doug E Doug definitely deserves his flowers
I felt what you just said! I hope enough people get on board and help make that change because we have a history of letting opportunities pass by… and then 20 years later will say that person was right!
Great interview on both sides.. C.H. let's get away from the gossip and stick to building and educating
Cool Runnings is my son’s favorite movie. We had to watch this every afternoon he got home from school until he threw the VHS tape and it broke it.
Yess that vcr tape everyone played it out . Thats was the movie 😆

That's awesome it was mine aswell when I was little and now I've enjoyed watching it my my 2 boys
Sound like Cosby was a boss. Now I see why they wanted him off the board. Don’t forget this was back then.
"They" didn't want him off the board because "they" own the board and put him on the board. They just wanted him to remember his role on the board.
@@mazzb305 EXACTLY!!! The Jews FOUNDED And Still RUN Hollywood!!! When Bill Cosby Asserted Some POWER As A Black Man The Entire TRIBE Of Little Hats Wanted To Let Him Know They Still RAN Things,Which Is Why They RAILROADED Him Into Prison!!! 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🤨🤨🤨😠😡🤬
I disagree. They punished him for having the temerity to be ambitious. Changing the narrative of black people in America, at the time, may have bankrupted a multitude of wealthy individuals
@@dougedoug2105 I was going to say something similar. I don’t think anyone “owns” the board. I believe there is a game being played between elites of every culture and Cosby tried to make a move his piece was ineligible to make and his penalties for it were never paid. Just a theory.
@@mazzb305 just because you put the word they in quotation marks doesn't mean that you know that the hell you're talking about. This rumor has been around for a very long time. I'm not black. But it's a fact that when a black man reaches a certain status or level in life, "they" give said black man a reality check and remind him of who's running the show. It's like this everywhere and it's the way of the world, but to exist that there's no "they" is extremely stupid and naive.
Doug E Doug still looks good and in great spirits, so happy to see it! Loved him on Cosby & Cool Runnings, used to watch both growing up!! Great interview! 😻💯🤞🏽

@@wingnprayer84 oh definitely and Mo Better Blues .. he has had an extensive career.. even saw him on Law & Order lol. I was just referencing the two he mentioned in this clip.

Very good discussion...for anyone to learn from...PS - It's not difficult to know what Bill Cosby basically said about why the NBC purchase did not occur...All you have to do is, "Hear what's not said, know overall society, and read between the lines."
Cosby tried to buy NBC in the 90s, way before the controversies came out...
Actually the first wave of controversy did come out shortly after he tried to buy NBC.
@@dchi2012 I do not believe every accusation against Cosby is true... Many of them are just opportunists looking for publicity...and maybe some are disgruntled mistresses... However...the sheer numbers of accusations strongly suggest atleast some are true... One thing is certain he went to jail because of racist prosecutorial corruption...To conclude...both sadly and humorously here is a joke by the late Freddie Prinze in 1976 where he implies something about Bill Cosby and women...Thank you for commenting and reading... That white man narrative. Let's not act like racism wasn't active in the 80s . If a BLK can't even have full ownership of a sports team well why do you think the power to be would let a BLK man own NBC.
Who the hell you think your kidding.
That's just like they send him to prison for drugging some groupie.
My question to you is was Cosby the only one in the 80s to have qualude pills. 70s 80s 90s are favourite rock roll artist actors/actress . Play boy mansion all the parties. Cosby was the only one through all the party time having his hands on pills. Really really really really, you could miss me with what he said to to NBC or the power to be. The whole story in America for a BLK man is you could act for us but you can't own anything. It's like that from back in the 80 s to present.
The interviewer behind the camera is pretty good. Great questions.
that's the owner of CH. He's a good interviewer.
Yew I'm glad he made the channel or else we would have to relay on Vlad to pull up elders for interviews and insight. Which isn't a problem but he just seems meesy
Yea, he did his hw unlike other interviewers, the one with the blue couch comes to mind. Some of them ask the dumbest questions, no research at all
Man ..DOUG E DOUG!!!! Brought a LOT of laughter and good times to me growing up! Missed your talent in the lights bruh! I remember staying up late and sneaking and watching "Hanging with the Homeboys" when I was like 10! That movie was HILARIOUS!!!!

I love these Doug E Doug clips. J. Will is such a great interviewer too!

Very interesting since Elon was "allowed" to use Saudi "investors" to help with Twitter purchase

Good interview…being in my 40’s its a trip to see doug as an old man now….😂….still funny and graceful….
Not a old man…you mean mature man
Fantastic interview! Doug's response as the interviewer continued to circle around Bill Cosby
's allegations reminds me of a line said by Janet Jackson in the movie For Colored Girls when the Rainbow isn't enough. "You saying something but you really can't saying nothing at all." Great interview!
Haven’t seen Doug is a while, he’s a legit funny talented comedian that should have been in more things!!!
Great interview. Good to see my brother doing well.
Salute to Doug E Doug, Great Comedian & Actor, just great to see him.
For real----I always thought he was big-time underrated----cool to see that he still looks good after all these years.
Cosby was a great show.. Griffin was the man.
Excellent interview! Doug E Doug, is classy and funny
"it's not a burden; it's an opportunity." ❤
Yes
@10:20
"Where I Live" was a good show but the timing was bad because of Cosby, Fresh Prince, A Different World and Family Matters had the black sitcom game sewn up. He just came up at the wrong time.
Loved that show!
It's a real shame too because all of those shows highlight the African American experience but "Where I Live" had a rare portrayal of a Caribbean family.
The last minute of this is gold. Much respect your goal is admirable.
I definitely remember when he tried to buy NBC, but they were not going to allow him or any other black person, to gain that kind of power and control.
NBC would've been sold to anyone that could afford 4 billion dollars. Cosby didn't and he wanted to buy it without using his own money. He was a comedian and his efforts to acquire were a joke.
The nail hit the hammer. You can also add on 101 reasons why they said no.
LOVE IT!! Him co-starring with Cosby was Excellent! I believe his best work was on Cosby - I got to see all sides of his funny - whether he was silly, comical or serious. I wish they could do another sitcom together again.
Extremely well said.
Yea after he mentioned about what they are trying to do with "their platform" I had to subscribe. Power to the people!
Whole heap a Respect Doug E.

Hangin with the Homeboys was a classic !

Good to see the brother and hear his experience . I had the chance to reason with him in Prospect Park at Nyahbinghi gatherings.
It's more upsetting and disappointing the way the Black community turned their backs to his legacy.

Cosby tried to buy NBC when I worked there in the 90’s.
"SANKA, U DEAD?"LOL. Good to see Doug
I love and miss Doug E Doug. He’s still that dude.
It wasn't a conspiracy. It was in the news at the time. There were public news reports that he was attempting to buy the network
Cosby's son was murdered around that time as well...connect the dots.
I never doubted that he was attempting to buy the network. I do believe that like many men in the entertainment industry, he was predatory towards young attractive people. He created great art but he also did terrible things. I still watch his shows but I am not a cult member willing to believe a man who has so many different women telling essentially the sane story. The pattern of abuse over several years - it’s hard not to acknowledge that
@@lyndawilliams4570 The fact they are all telling the same story uniformly like they've been coached and 3 women admitting they lied and were paid made it more unbelievable that he raped anybody. It was a planned, organized, group effort to take down a powerful man.
@@lyndawilliams4570 Lying is contagious, you'll be amazed at how many individuals will conform to associate with a group; to experience the sense of belonging, having a purpose.
He couldn't afford it. It was 4 billion and he didn't want to use any of his own money.
Great Conversation Salute Doug E Doug!!❤
He has a very acute sense of humor and seriousness. He's learned how to balance the two and walk the middle at the same time

Who's name is on this! Yet there are some who take credit for somebody's else's work! And wonder why the deal falls through! Just a thought! NBC ABC CBS! Knows whose doing what they claim to be doing and who is not?

Thanks for giving light to my guy! Found this interview while watching Class Act wondering what happened to Doug E Doug. This brought back that Thursday night oruginal Cosby Show (not the Doug E one) nostalgia of intelligent black representation.
