I've been watching for about a year now and have seen lots of bug out bags your story narrative and explanation on your gear is quite simply legendary. Nice job
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Enjoyed this very much brother ✊🏾 definitely what we all aim to be prepared for just like this …it’s a reminder on how shtf could be tomorrow and you have to ask if your even ready
Thanks so much!
James, you are such a good story teller. You always keep me in suspense.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Excellent video, James! A lot of effort went into this one for sure. Worth it, too! I hadn't seen the sink strainer stove before. Love it. Keep 'em coming, brother!
Thanks so much. I show how to make the stove on my channel.
@@WayPointSurvival I guess I haven't dug that far into your previous videos yet. Lol. I will check it out, though.
James, this was such an excellent video. I realized that several things I had prepared to ‘bug out’ would not work. My tent is too big, my sleeping bag and my bug out bag much to heavy for me to carry long distance. I realized that I am really prepared to ‘bug in’ not to bug out. I need to prepare another bag in case I could not remain here. Thank you brother, you are an awesome story teller.

Thanks so much!
When hurricane Sandy hit my area bikes were the best way to get around. Downed power lines, trees, abandoned vehicles made it nearly impossible to get around, but we could get around on bicycles.
Yes, bicycles are definitely an underutilized method of transportation.
You are a story teller of the old school, keeping it real and enjoyable without wearing out the watcher with too much story line. As usual I have to say I always enjoy anything you post and this is no exception. I look forward to more.
Thanks so much!
I really appreciate all the hard work it took to make this video. You did a great job man. Thank you for sharing it with all of us!
Thanks so much!
Specifically mentioning the helmet and wearing it. Best message of this video IMO. Don't die bugging out!
Thanks so much!
What's it with Americans and bike helmets? You're the only nation that use them.
Amazing video bud!!! Loved it! You covered well over half the distance in one day. Gives me a new appreciation not for bikes but E bikes!!
Seriously God bless for yer hard work!
go see johnny nerd out's e'bike channel, build don't buy
@@arronjohnston742 o Really now?? I'll have to give it a look thanks Arron! :)
@@davidokeefe9303 building it you can make it how you want it and if you already have a good bike then you can turn it into an e-bike, johnny nerd out has made it into a business, shop bought bikes cost a lot for little return plus they're usual made from from one off parts meaning they're specific to that brand which makes getting replacement parts a huge problem, brands like bafang are huge and have a massive aftermarket and following to match.... follow johnny's videos if you want to build your own it's really not as hard as many think, you'll also have a better bike than any store bought bike (if you're not confident johnny can build your bike for you if you're in the USA) or he can just give you advice.... good luck
Thanks so much and I'm glad that you enjoyed the video!
Excellent video sir. Playing out these scenarios helps us all to prepare better. Thank you for sharing.
BTW great bike!!!
Thank you so much, my friend!
Very nicely done video! Incredible work thank you so much really enjoyed it and got me to revise my bug out plans. Much love from UK 👍
Thanks so much!
Loved this video!! I hope it's a mini-series like the 1700's one. You have done an excellent job on the storyline too!! Keep them coming plz.
Thanks. However, I don't intend to continue unless it gets a whole lot of views.
I appreciate your calm demeanor when bugging out, even though it's just a simulation.
Me after getting that phone call: "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" ...and proceeds to leave without the bag.
Lol. Thanks for watching!
😂 that would be me too
This was excellent! Truly well done! You are a rare talent! I hope there's a part 2...
Thank you for making this, it's my hope people wake up soon!
He replied that there are no plans unless this does extremely well so share. I asked in my first comment and I'm going to ask you and just one more in the comments but I'm stopping there so as to not spam.
Will you do the same?

Are you the Dragon Slater I know ?
@@tomlambert1833
Tom, your name is familiar to me, and I'm sure we've met on other channels! If that's what you mean...

The dragon slayer i speak of was a bf r gamer.
He definitely knows me..
Thanks for sharing this wonderful adventure James, and for inviting us into your beautiful home, it must have been hard to leave :) A good example of gear and items to have at hand and ready to go, natural or man made disasters can happen at any time. If you decide to do a second part to this video, it would be great to see how your cabin is set up and equipped for long term, likely off-grid living
Thanks for watching!
So dramatic! Yet completely realistic and easy to watch and digest especially for someone new and already afraid.
I look forward to finding out what happens next! Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great video can't wait to see what happens next this is very informative as to what's coming!
Thank you, my friend! However, I do not intend to make another episode as this was meant to be a standalone video. If it gets a lot of views, I may make another one.
I'm looking forward to the continuation! :D I've been using an ebike in the city for the last year and it is a surprisingly convenient mode of transportation.
He just replied that there are no plans unless this video does extremely well so share!

I would enjoy seeing more videos like this. It gives a good insight of what can happen. And to be more prepared
Thanks for watching!
WOW !! Awesome sooner or later video Brother!! Waiting on the next episode.
Heck yeah! Thank you and take care !!
Thanks for watching!
This was terrific. Good bits of self deprecating humor mixed with a good demo of how to ebike is useful. Thanks for taking the time to share it.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Great "What if" story telling!
Might not be so far fetched!
Thank you! Never hurts to be prepared!
Thanks so much!
Love your "Live" stories. Looking forward to see where this takes us. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks James for the great story, and in a time when we possibly could be doing the same thing. God Bless you brother
Thanks so much and God-bless you too!
Your channel is very informative and helpful.. I live in Eastern Kentucky me and my mom go to Cincinnati Ohio due to me have neurology appointments I have 8 neurological conditions.. When we leave the house I take my bug out bag with me , never thought I would need it but we got stuck in west Portsmouth due to our motor blowing, we were trying to save money so for food we ate MRE's, we had no clue where we were at out GPS took us on a backroad.. I'm 16 years old I've always wanted to be ready to go
Excellent. Thanks for watching!
nice to see a young person who into this forum of readiness..
stay frosty everyone out there as things are going to get very hectic
Young man, you are wise beyond your years. Guys three times your age wouldn’t have such foresight.
Good for you, it's something you're never going to regret having when you need it if you have a bunch of neurological disorders I would recommend getting some of your medication put in your bug out bag too buddy take care and God bless
@@BUZZKILLJRJRI wouldn't be able to, I can only get my meds filled when they are due because they are considered benzos
Very interesting approach to a bug out trip. I did like how you explained the items you used without doing full reviews of the products. Cool video
Thanks so much!
Very, very good eye opener video. People will learn so much from this. We all have to remember it's not if but when. Thank you for the gift of knowledge.
Thanks so much for watching!
Watched. Impressive. Thanks for the hard work & time involved in filming. Happy trails
Thanks so much for watching!
You tell a good story James. Thanks for doing this for us. I enjoyed the 18th century series.
Thanks so much!
I loved this James! These are some of the VERY moments that we need to be prepared for. I can't wait to see what happens next!!
Thanks for watching, my friend. However, I have no plans to go further with this story unless this video somehow gets a whole lot of views.
@@WayPointSurvival ok. That makes sense James. Still it was an awesome journey!! Stay safe my friend.
Like the change up. Also you really plan theses out and make them very entertaining.
Thanks so much!
What a great start to this series. Can't wait for the next installment.
Thanks for watching! However, it's meant to be a standalone episode.
A very good storyline...I truly enjoyed it! My husband and I used to listen to books on tape driving our semi truck across country...brings back so many happy memories before my husbands passing...thank you so much 🥰
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Outstanding! I’m a big fan of the scenario drills. Excellent delivery. I’d love to see more content along these lines. God bless and keep you brother!
Thanks so much! Have you watched any of my 1790 survival series?
@@WayPointSurvival I have! I’m a history buff as well.
Great video, really enjoyed this one . This type of subject would be great for a series 🤞Thanks again brother 🤗🙏
Thanks for watching!
In the absence of very immediate threat, consider what a rapid shut down of your property might look like. It may become your fall back position if needed. Draw water for storage. Secure those propane tanks. Draw curtains, secure windows. Hide some resources. It is impossible to secure houses in your absence but do what you can. BTW, if you are that far ahead of the curve, buy all the meals you can on the way and save your supplies.
Indeed. I wanted to show this using just the supply that I had in my pack but definitely you would want to purchase as much as you could before things shut down.
Good points
Excellent as always. I live in a somewhat rural area but I worry about those that live in the metro areas that depend on modern conveniences and government too much . It won’t be pretty. Bikes pretty neat . Thanks for your efforts. Have a great day
Thanks so much!
Another good video, thanks! I have been mountain biking for a few years now and it is easy to get back in shape. 70 miles should not be a big deal on roads. I recommend getting in better shape because the future looks like a challenge. Side note: after living with only solar power for over a year, an electric motorcycle and an E bike is a great idea! Best of luck to all going forward.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video James, this is a good time recheck my bugout bag. I'm definitely going to look into the food you had from your previous video. Cheers 🇨🇦
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching!
That's was a fantastic way to show how to be prepared. Keep up the good work
Thanks so much!
James, great to see you again on another trek. Stay safe! Robin
Thanks for watching!
Another Excellent video thanks for making it keep up the outstanding work you put into each and every video you make.
Prayers up
Thanks so much!
That was so nice to watch , this really is a good point the 1st 24 hours of just getting out and heading to a place of safety ,I imagine highways choked up with vehicles and you being able get around them on a bike at your age is amazing , the bike is a good fit , but the key point really is where do you go to where it is safe ?
Thanks so much and I am glad that you enjoyed the video!
This was a very informative and enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for your amazing work
Really enjoyed this
Thanks 👍
Thanks for watching!
That was good. I really enjoyed this video, especially how well your ebike performed. I'm not sure if someone else already said it, but you can use that contractor's bag and fill it with air, and then place the opening around your air mattress opening and seal it as best you can and squeeze the bag and fill up your air mattress almost all the way in just a few seconds. You'll have hardly any blowing up to do yourself. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching and sharing the contractor bag tip!
take a small hose clamp or reuseable zip tie to make it seal
That was awesome, I hope this will be a little mini series as that would be great.
Thanks for watching, however, this was meant to be a standalone episode.
I like the cook system you made. I've never seen that before. I enjoyed the video. I just finished putting my Bug Out Bike together today. I enjoyed your video a lot.
Excellent. Thanks for watching!
Can't wait for part 2🙌🙌🙌
Thanks for watching.
@WayPoint Survival you're welcome brothA
Bitterly disappointed the heavily modded Stanley cook set didn't come along for the ride! 😄 Great storytelling instructional video. I moved to the country so I bugged out early. Can't think of a situation where it'd have to leave the house but I've got a few places up my sleeve just in case. Also have a kitted out bike. Cars just end up being a liability in the end.
I have several Stanley sets. I opted to bring the most basic one. Ended up not even using it.
I have the same Nutrient Survival in my get home bag. I sure hope I never have to use it!!! Good to see a video like this. Gives some ideas in the event something like this happens. Take care!
Thanks so much for watching and I'm glad you liked it!
I loved this video, it clearly demonstrates the advantages of both planning and being prepared.
If you do another video like this it would be educational if you threw in a major twist. Something like having his bicycle and/or pack quietly stolen while he slept.
Thanks for watching!
Good video James , thanks for sharing , God bless brother !
Thanks so much and God-bless you too!
Sir, I have to say that this is one of my favorite bug out scenario videos. You did an outstanding job narrating and explaining the gear that you used. I sincerely hope that one day we could possibly get another scenario video of how life was after the "event" and show how your group was surviving at your location. Thank you for an entertaing and educational video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for all the great videos.
Thanks for watching!
Oh left us in suspense. Stay tune for next time. Always good videos.
Thanks for watching!
Well done!! Terrific video. More of these would be great. Best wishes..... Ax
That is a very very excellent video my friend👍 how true it is we all should keep preparing as long as we can, we never know how long we have or when it is all going to come crashing down. This video really hits home, take care and be safe my friend and may God bless you and watch over you.
Thanks so much and God bless you too!
The transpo aspect really hits home considering my car was destroyed in a hit and run here in San Antonio. Guess ill be bugging out on Via bus lol. Great video.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad that you liked it!
He looks in much better shape than I am at this point in life. Lol great video. Hope this series continues.
Thanks for watching!
Very well done and the ending left me wanting more.
Thanks so much for watching!
Very well written and filmed. Doesn't sound fanatical, just properly prepared. Something we should all heed.
Thanks so much!
I enjoyed this video. I really like your narration style too. Kinda reminds of "the road" from Cormac McCarthy but happier. The food and shelter demo was great. I have tried some of the nutrient survival bars and liked them but the oatmeal was very unpleasant for me. I am going to have to sample more. Thanks for the video. Not enough people are showing what a bugout could look like.
Thanks so much for watching!
You did an awesome job on this video bro🙌🙌
Thanks so much!
Good morning James from Quebec
Of all the videos I've listened to on UA-cam
this one is the most realistic,
of all these "pro" of survival, (who will not survive what is coming and it's a shame..)
But you are... for one reason only
You don't go alone,
You know the one you thank (in each of your videos)
before each meal...
(We are few to thank him... especially when nothing works anymore)...
Thank you James for your humility in presenting it
"We'll meet after the apocalypse"...
(sorry for my English, it's not my first language)
so I use a translator)...
good end of day to you and your family 👍
You are correct, thank you so much, look forward to meeting you someday!
I don't believe world will come to an end, and a bug out bag will save you from anything. Yet your videos are most helpful for camping and narrative is truly sincere, i can't help to watch them. Learned a few tricks that i used, too. Thanks.
Thanks. It was mostly a demo to advertise for the bike but it was a fun video to make anyway.
I love your videos man.... This one was like Plan 9 From Outer Space but with Bug Out, Bikes and Product Placement.
Thanks for watching!
That was a fun watch. Love the bivysack tent. I'll have to look into purchasing one.
Thanks so much!
Great job! I’d love to see a family bugout scenario too. Of course a very different situation…
Thanks so much!
Looking forward to part two!
Thanks for watching.
I like how you explain things is a story format, makes it easier for newbies to follow. Your character should have kept the bike on a trickle charger and have a second battery. He had enough room to pack extra water as well. Did he ever do a practice run?
Thanks for watching and for the suggestions.
Waiting on PART II. I would look into getting a small, light trailer to pull behind the bike.
Thanks for watching. However, this is meant to be a standalone episode.
Love your storys. Please keep up the great work
Thanks so much!
This UA-cam vid made my night! 😂😂😂💀your story telling 10/10.
Thanks so much!
Really liked this... hope you do something like this once a year.
Thanks for watching!
Very nice! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
We need to know things like this. Dehydrated food , buyout items etc.
Indeed, thanks for watching!
Your welcome sir (if i can ask is there going to be a episode 14 in the 1790 survival series?)
John, what an AWESOME video. Like a minin movie. I was left wanting to see what happened next. You are definately talented. And no lack of shameless plug for your Nutrient Survival Freeze Dried Food. LOL Keep up the good work, and God bless.
Thanks so much and God bless you too!
I love this video, thank you!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad that you liked it!
Awesome video my friend. Keep them coming
Thanks for watching!
1. When the hero left the house for a long time, I did not see how he turned off the water and gas supply, turned off the electricity. In addition, if he was preparing and knew that he would have to leave the house, it would be wise to get shutters or roller shutters on the windows and a reinforced door.
2. I understand that when the hero stays overnight with a friend, I wanted to show how he does it autonomously. But it is very strange that in a country house there was no place at least in the garage to accommodate just one guest. :-)
All the same, an autonomous overnight stay should have been shown in the wild, it seems to me.
Thanks for watching. It's impossible to show every detail in a single video as it would get much too long.
Wow great video James!
Thanks so much!
Also a big thanks for pointing out that water bladders are a pain in the rear to clean and can harbor bacteria.
Indeed. This seems to be a point that most backpackers and hikers as well as bicyclists are unaware of.
really enjoyed the show. E bikes have definitely made this type of bug out scenario more possible for more people
I agree. Thanks for watching!
God bless you, James!
Thanks and God-bless you too!
What an amazing little skit on what may come and how to prepare.
My only regret is that I am now too old to ride a bike comfortably.
For me it is shanks pony, and walking stick.
But a great promotion.
Thanks 🙏
Thanks so much! The cool thing about this bike is that even for someone with a few years on them the electric assist makes it very easy to pedal, even up hills.
@@WayPointSurvival ...
My vertigo..(vertical to go) is off balance. Lol
James, this is another great one. As much as I enjoyed the 1790s series, this is a bit more immediately relevant.
I pray that those who aren't paying attention NEVER find out that, sometimes it rains, rains can cause floods, floods can displace and kill many but they weren't ready.
From the ending, I assume that you are planing a series.
If this is to test the response to see how much time you can afford to apply then I'd like to encourage everyone watching to subscribe, like, comment and share with at least two people. Not that I wouldn't have anyway but let's go fellow subscribers! We have about 18 hours for the best chance to really get this snowball started.
Thanks so much for liking and sharing the video! Unless it does extremely well I have no plans of doing another episode.
@@WayPointSurvival It's my pleasure and I'll do what I can to share and encourage others to do so as well.
That was so immersive
Nice job!
Thanks so much for watching!
Well done James! Your narration reminded me of a Christmas Story.
Thanks so much!
Great thought experiment. One thing to think about when planning these sort of scenarios is; are there enough bikes for everyone in your family? If say an EMP went off, even if your car worked, if enough cars were broken down on the roads driving might not be feasible. A bike for every capable family member and some sort of small trailer would make travelling much easier. If you have small children a trailer is a must. Even if you travel by car, bringing bikes along is huge benefit.
Absolutely. Thanks for watching!
Hi looking forward to your next video interesting 😊 thanks James
Thanks so much!
Man, I loved this!
Thanks so much!
Another great production!
I just realized that if I need to pedal anywhere over 10 miles, it's uphill in all directions for potentially hundreds of miles. Ouch.
Thanks so much! That would indeed be a lot of pedaling!
Our family has a vacuum sealer and we're relearning canning for additional security and prep 👍🏾
Excellent. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video James. 70 miles may not sound very far but on a bike without the electric motor would take more than a couple of days…definitely.
The E bike definitely made it a much simpler proposition.
Very entertaining. Love your storytelling.
Thanks!
Looks like a good bike. And a fun journey
It is and it was. Thanks for watching!
I love watching your videos.
Thank you!
