Pau plays and sings at the same time so well because she is a freaking machine with her drum part and knows it practically subconsciously. Not to mention she has done aerobic training to help keep her voice strong despite the physical exertion of playing, She's a beast! 🤩
Ale is actually the main time keeper. Pau mentioned in her masterclass how she has trouble matching Ale. I recently saw a stat that Ale has a 99.995% note & rythm accuracy rate live.
Hey, My Friend! After seeing them live 3 times in 2022 I can tell you that watching them play is like watching fish swim or birds fly! It's what they were born to do and they do it effortlessly! You can tell that they have practiced so much that they don't even need to think about what they are doing. They are so dedicated and passionate about giving an outstanding show to their fans! This was from one of their back to back nights at the Whiskey-a-Go-Go. They sold out the first night in a matter if minutes, not hours, and added a second night! They had 4 warmup bands all of grown men. Then they came on stage and took them all to school!
This banger is from the concept album, Queen of the Murder Scene. Dany and Pau alternating the lyrics represents the battle of good and evil going on in the Queen’s head.
Thank you, Randy. It's kinda difficult for me to see reactors grab songs from the middle of QOTMS and analyze the lyrics from a perspective that has nothing to do with the story. Not that their take or interpretation is "wrong", because of the whole, everybody interprets art differently, thing, but there is an actual intended meaning to this song, which The Warning has made public.
In Sinister Smiles, the Queen is having a fight between her good and bad sides. It’s performed as a duet between Pau as the good side and Dany as the bad. The bad side is taunting the good with her power but the Queen is trying to be strong. She even starts to threaten suicide, probably in the tub, hence the “stain the water” lyric. This is a very feminine way to commit suicide, in the tub, maybe a bubble bath, so that the blood from slashed wrists remains in the tub and does not dirty the house. Then the evil side joins her in singing that part - so does the evil side want suicide? By the end of the song, the two warring personalities break apart.
My friend I appreciate this so much, unreal the level they’re writing at - take age out of the conversation completely and find me artists with layers like this 😂 crazy impressive
@@Beldvlmnt And you need to consider that English isn't their 1st language.
@@bloodybutunbowed291 yesss this is a personal one for me. My family is all from the east coast and are French Canadian - and I’m now 30 and can’t speak any French. I tried a few times when I was young, and every time I watch these 3 I’m reminded of how I want to learn again. Great call out
@@Beldvlmnt I wonder why Rick Beato did not include them in his 10 best rock bands of 2023? he knows about them. I guess he thinks they are not good enough. Greta Van C. Maneskin, Foo Fighters, Depeche M and some others were included but not the W. Hmmm.
I love your reactions. This is one of my favorite songs from The Warning. They haven't played it live in a while and I hope one day they will again. It highlights a lot of what they are capable of doing musically. Finally, I so appreciate that you catch those drum parts and fills. Amazing!
Ale's falsetto is so powerful in the harmonies of this song - I'll never understand why they don't utilize it more often. Ale takes the lower octave harmony in all their new stuff, which often is barely audible live - MORE FALSETTO PLEASE MISS ALE!!!
agreed! she sings fine down low but her voice is extremely quiet down there.... and she is SUCH a good harmonizer. If you ever listen to them just messing around in their videos, ale and pau are great singers, great LEAD singers, and obviously great harmony singers, but Ale can just jump in and choose appropriate chord notes to sing, while both Dany and Pau can get stuck trying to think too much about it. Ale is a natural, and they use her as a harmony singer very effectively, but the low octave stuff is a waste of a good thing. Like in the new proshot live concert video from last fall... Ale is barely audible and yet they clearly remixed it after the fact and you CAN hear her, but when she's singing that low you can't make it sound strong no matter what. It's an incredible mix, but poor Ale ... I wish she was interested in stepping up and singing something in the middle of her range, which is like higher alto range stuff.... she sounds excellent there, very much as though someone stuck a little Pau venom into Dany's vocal tract LoL. And yes, also her falsetto... she is SO CONSISTENT AND RELIABLE AT FALSETTO.... it's eery how good she is at that. But I mean, if Ale doesn't want to do something, one thing is clear - she won't do what she doesn't want to do LoL. Gotta respect her on that!
Her falsetto is my favorite part of the song...
In what time Ale do The falsetto???
@@adamtrombino106 um what time Ale do The falsetto??
I laugh when someone tries to question their technical abilities. They clearly don't know understand that music is more than playing fast (which they can do as good as the best). Fact is they can sit in a room with some of the most gifted technically proficient musicians in the world and either hang with them or surpass them. But they'd be 'singing' in the process!
Pau's insane fills just makes you laugh and shake your head at the same time. And the first time I saw their cover of Muse's Hysteria when Ale was still the shortest, I said out loud that some day she will be a superstar bass player. Right now I don't see anything they do that challenges her.
Double kicking on top of singing... yeah... Pau does that. There is a great acoustic version of Sinister Smiles that loses some of the song like Dany's solo and Pau is on a little electric drum pad set up but if you want to hear truly beautiful harmonies and Dany and Pau slaying the lead...you should watch it. Dany is on a beautiful Ovation, Ale on a true acoustic bass... ua-cam.com/video/Xjd41DdRF3c/v-deo.html
Nominate The Warning to headline the 2024 NFL Super Bowl half time gala.
Is this a thing?! I would cast a vote for sure
Dani's vocals on this song are just fantastic! Such power!
Now you know why The Warning is awesome!!🤘🤘🤘 I just saw them this Monday when they played at the Foro Sol.
All three of them can sing and still hold their own as instrumentalists. Pau can sing and double kick, Ale has sung lead and plays bass riffs and bass runs effortlessly and Dany her facial expressions show emotions she’s singing while playing riffs and solos controlling foot pedals without missing a beat.
Those falsettos tho! 🤘😍🤘
Greatness is measured in many ways. How many bands at TW ages , wrote such deep lyrics beyond their ages and composed, played their own music with authentic energy and passion not seen in decades?
You have to see their acoustic version of this song, even better than this performance!
Yeah David, I agree. Dany’s vocals took a huge step forward in that series of acoustic tracks. Not to mention Pau laying down that sick fill on a drum pad and Ale on an acoustic bass.
Here's the link => ua-cam.com/video/Xjd41DdRF3c/v-deo.html
The acoustic version really lets Ale’s falsetto vocals stand out.
My favorite song from them! I'm sad that I found them too late to where they play this live, but at least we have these concerts to watch them.
If you watch the Lunario version...Pau makes toothpicks doing that massive fill. Your ear won't catch it, but you can see her hand go to the quiver!!!
𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐂𝐊 𝐈𝐓 𝐎𝐔𝐓!
They are just total Pros!!!
I think the band loves playing this for a fun crowd. The Warning always gives at least 100% for their concerts, but when the crowd is in it, the band gives even more energy back.
One of my absolute favorite songs period. What an incredible composition and performance! I also have to say that man, I really enjoy your reactions a lot. It's great how into it you get and appreciate everything that they create and are able to do as musicians. They're incredible!
Ale's bass and harmonies are simple killers.
Agreed.
Ale’s bass is so powerful live! She really fills in the sound and does an amazing job. 🤘🏼
56th birthday of the Whiskey and yet, I don't think their combined ages at the time adds up to 56.
I just love The Warning and their style of rock n roll. I still go back to listen to some classic rock and when I return to The Warning, I appreciate them that much more.
Great reaction! The crowd really gets into singing along with this song. Dany and Pau, really get into character, don't they? I also love the tone the Warning gets from their instruments. Ale has mentioned how she loves the sonic feel she gets from her Specter bass and I love the sound of Dany's Rick Toone Spearfish.
Thanks for your TW reactions! You're the best!
Always good to hear your insight to these performances. It's such a great song, a lot going on. Everyone already left info about the story at this point. Thanks, nice reaction.
This song has such great lyrics and Alé’s bass line just cements it. Everything about this song is amazing and this is one of their better performances of it.
Sinister Smiles: A deep and melancholic theme, very beautifully interpreted by Dany and Pau, good and evil in a permanent fight and evil almost always wins, a very good solo, excellent choruses, a great theme from The Warning from the album QOTMS
This song grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go.
The Ladies talent for writing music, and lyrics all to their own, at such an early age, is mind blowing. Creating these the lyrics in a 2nd language on purpose, another level still. Putting it together in front of an audience, while knowing they have to entertain as well, an doing just that exceptionally well, yet another level of excellence. TWA sees it, knows it, and rejoice in it. You sir, are TWA.
ES INCREÍBLE COMO DISFRUTAS LAS REACCIÓNES THE WARNING 😎🤟

I like your funny words, magic man.
I was at the whisky on this night and Ale’s bass was like thunder. The video doesn’t do it justice at all.
You definitely have to do the acoustic version of this song 🔥 they kill it! And I honestly enjoy it a little more than this version
⚡⚡🤘🤘
Great! Gracias!
