The video is wrong about See's Candies. See's is not closed at all. There are locations all over the place, including mall locations. The company is on solid footing as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway since 1972. With the pandemic, they added overnight shipping and partnerships with food delivery services such as DoorDash and UberEats.

There are several See's Candy locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties. I don't know what the hell this narrator 's talking about. And they're inside the malls. Expensive to be sure, but they are not that hard to find. Don't expect to leave without spending $30-50 . Unless you're on a budget.

There's one orange Julius on the Northern Mall outlet in Las Vegas, NV. It's really hard to find one these days, like the current time. But they were everywhere back in the 1980's and early 1990's.
This brings back memories from my younger years, that orange beverage was a super popular drink, way before iced coffee like today. Iced coffee in the 1980's was the underdog, while the orange forth was the ace. I'm lucky to have one DQ near me, here in Las Vegas.
The funny thing is now the iced coffee is the ace, and the orange forth is now the underdog, as of 2024. That's over 40 years of changes, as much as I like what those Millennials and Gen Z are enjoying these iced coffee, as a Gen X I enjoyed the orange forth more, but they are increasingly harder to find outside the Dairy Queen at the Northern Mall.

The Original Cookie Company, Orange Julius (still at my local mall), Piccadilly - HELL - they even say they are still open, it;s down hill afterwards as many more have NOT disappeared.

Hickory Farms is still around, and doing reasonably well. They no longer operate stores all year, operating under a similar model to Spirit Halloween with seasonal stores. MAN the memories I have of Orange Julius!! Not only did I meet my eventual wife when she was working at one of the few remaining 'pure' Julius locations by the early 1990s, but 20 years before that when my family first moved across Canada from Thunder Bay Ont. to Surrey (Vancouver suburb) B.C. when I was like 4 years old, I remember the day we went to the local mall Guildford Town Centre and my father had his parking space stolen by a total asshat who then flipped him off to boot. However, asshat was driving a convertible with the top down....Dad went to buy an Orange Julius but found a 3/4 full one left abandoned on a table instead, took it out to the guy's car and dumped it all over his seat and dashboard. ;-) Dad was a sweet tempered man, I've never seen him pissed like that before or since. :-D Good memories.
Also, does anyone else remember "Keg Country Chicken"? It's not really a mall restaurant but it's an offshoot of The Keg that no one else seems to remember. Very similar to the Kenny Rodgers Roasters style, we went there once and it was SO disgusting for it's high price that we used to mockingly sing the slogan for it: "KEG country chicken! NATURALLY gooood!!!" but no one else knows wtf I am talking about it came and went so quickly. Was it possibly a Canada only thing? Anyone else remembers it, please say so!

You missed one, though it's very hard to find a good source of information about it. Orange Bowl Pizza was a mall pizza chain whose main business was selling their pizza by the slice, though you could order an entire pizza. Their iconic dessert offering was the O-Joy, a soft serve orange dessert. I guess I could call it a orange sherbet, but it was dispensed like soft serve ice cream. They also had vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream. All of the Orange Bowl locations closed suddenly, and we didn't have the internet back then to determine why. They just disappeared. Gone, but never forgotten - great pizza.

I just miss how simpler the food was back then and how you knew where to go for exactly what you wanted and knew where to find it easily because you didn't have all these different food chains everywhere you look like it is today.
