- I think everyone was caught off guard when there was a shortage of toilet paper at the beginning of covid. So to prevent me from being caught off guard again I decided to install a bidet in our bathroom. Even though I lived in Europe for a while I have actually never used a bidet. I am excited to not only have this as an emergency tool in case but also when we are caught with out it in normal life with kids. Today I'm going to show you how to install and test this samodra bidet. I hope you enjoy and find it helpful! Link to same bidet:

THANKS for this step by step! us plumbing-challenged people appreciate it! I was able to install mine in about an hour ! cant wait to try it
Yay so glad it helped, installing things for the first time is always so intimidating!
This was sooo helpful for when I got stuck! You’re the best!
Wahoo!! So glad I helped you out!!
The best tutorial I’ve seen on this company’s biday, I finally get it and finished mine, thank you!
Thanks!!! So glad that it is working for you now, enjoy feeling fresh. 😂
The best video with complete understandable directions I’ve found. The instructions that came with bidet where useless for me. That’s for the great video. I’d highly recommend.
Thank you!! I am so visual and love it when I can see step day step too, so glad this was helpful for you!
Thanks for step-by-step guide for the Bidet setup. Its quite helpful for me.
Awesome! So glad it was helpful!
I was just halfway through doing mine, but was doing the seat last, and realised I wasn't sure what order it all came together (the layers), as it wasn't 100% clear in the instruction booklet thing. Thanks for your honest install vlog with some of the naturally encountered issues for plumbing newbies. Great video - much love x
You are welcome! So glad my video helped you out.
Your video footage was so clear and the tutorial very understandable, thank you! New subbie!
Yay! Thank you for your sub and comment.
Thank you!!! I used your video to install mine and it works perfectly!!!
Yay, so glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much!!!!!! I saw this video once and I installed it without any problems! I love it!!!
Yay that's great!!
I absolutely adore this lady, proper "Swiss army wife"! I have seen this exact same bidet on Amazon, not sure if I was competent enough to fit the thing, YOU have convinced me otherwise. Thank you, excellent instructional vid. Much love from UK :)
"Swiss army wife" love it! Thank you so much for your lovely complement from across the ocean!
Thanks, this really made my install simple.
You are welcome!
I just ordered one of these for the same reason. Thank you so much for this video!!!
I am surprised at how much I actually like it 🤣 thanks for the comment!
Thanks so much for this video! And i really appreciated the slight leak fail when you noticed that one thing wasn't screwed in right. 😀
I for me things hardly ever go right the first time around. I like to show that when I catch it on film so that people know not to give up even if it doesn't work out the first or even the 3rd time. I appreciate your comment!
@@countrysparkles Yes! I didn't get it quite right and had to flip a washer over. Always the washer! 😆
Haha 😂 always something!
Only thing I'd suggest is putting the slot attachments vertical instead of horizontal Incase you need to adjust the angle of the spray 👍
That is a good idea, thanks! 😊
Actually the instructions say that the nozzle is to be as close to the bowl as possible, so I'd agree that the slots can actually face any direction which allows you to correctly position the bidet
Thank You so much! we just got ours to try and your video was soo helpful!
Yay! I really love it, I hope you enjoy it too!
Omg thank you for making this so simple 🙏🏽
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
great video instructions were clear id have it installed if my water value tube would Cooperate
Glad I could give you some good instructions!
Haven't got mine yet and not sure if how bedit connections seal but as far as toilet suppy lines go t-tape or any other pipe sealant is not needed becase the threads do not male the seal. Rather the threads tighten down to smash you rubber washer seal. Using tape on those connections is not only pointless but can actually cause a leak for the tape c
An bunch up and feel like your tight before that washer is actually tight. I asume the threads the the bidet does seal with treads and will need thread sealant. Please dont use one and plumbing fitting with rubber washers, gaskets, or fairings.
Thanks for sharing, great video
Thanks for the comment, you are welcome!
Thank you so much for this video!😊😊
So glad it was helpful! You are welcome.
Thanks this was so helpful!
You are welcome!
Thanks for the video. BTW I love the term "acid poo" I've been looking for a word for it. Lol
Haha 🤣 it burns so much! Thanks for the comment!
Top quality video and very informative, thanks a lot!
You are welcome! Thanks for the comment!!
@@countrysparkles I managed to install it today using your video. Yes I got soaked in water but I got there in the end. Thankyou, you're definitely an asset to the UA-cam community!
Towels are definitely essential! Lol
Holy crap 💩 this was helpful. Got it installed and working. I got leaking in the connection going on though. Gotta figure out what’s going on🙄
😂,thanks! Did you use the pipe tape? That can really make a difference. You definitely don't want it to be leaking.
@@countrysparkles yeah I had that tape applied. I figured it out. I forgot to put that black washer into T connector. It stopped the leak 😀 thank you for the video. The directions provided are atrocious.
Bah haha, seriously show me instructions that are good on anything lol. So glad you figured it out!
That is a rubber washer that must be used or you will definitely have a leak.@@russcastella
Thanks for this; my instructions didn't make the purpose of those circular fasteners clear
Yay, so glad it was helpful!!
To be honest I'd have thought that there very shape would be pretty obvious even without instructions 😂
@@kevindarkstar I couldn't care less, clown. Instructions should always be comprehensive.
How is it holding up so far? Any leaking issue . Thanks for the video .
It has been great no issues at all!
Thanks!
You are welcome!
Hello
Thanks for the tutorial
The water is hot or cold?
Thanks for the answer
The water is cool, I think you would need a full bidet instead of an attachment to get warm water. But it isn't awful when you use it.
I work early mornings and no joke one little squirt wakes me up 😂.
I just watched your tutorial cause I was wondering how it works... Your video helped a lot. But I wanna know do you have any problem with LIMESCALE? Any known problems? I would really appreciate your answer ;)
We have not had that problem, we do have a lot of calcium in our water but we have a water softener to help with that problem for our whole house. We haven't had any problems at all and love it. Thanks so much for your question!
@@countrysparkles thank you. That's good to hear 😉
Aren't bidets illegal in the United States? No store I know of carries them, and even during the toilet paper crisis of 2020, people refused to sell them.
No they are definitely not illegal in the US, they are just not standard in every home like it is in Europe. Americans just haven't grown up with them so why would stores carry them. During 2020 I think there was more of a shortage like everything, not people refusing to sell them. They are easy to buy on Amazon.
Great help! But why is my fill valve inside the tank wobbling when I attach the t adapter and now not sealed. Did i break something?
On my tank the fill valve screws into the adapter on the bottom of the tank, that adapter is what you attach the t adapter to. When you were putting the t adapter on it might have loosened up the fill valve pipe you should just be able to screw it back on and then hold the fill valve still when you screw on the t valve. I hope that helps, sometimes describing things is so much harder then showing!
Yes, thank you. I got the t adapter on but the fill tank is "leaning" and not sealed any more. It's leaking when I pour (a small amount) of water in the tank. Do i need a new fill valve?
It is really hard to know for sure what is going on without looking at it. Normally there is a plastic nut on the outside and maybe inside too that screw to the bottom of the fill valve. Those can come lose, so if it is leaking or leaning and moving at all those nuts probably just need to be tightened. so definitely make sure everything in screwed on well inside and outside right by the tank. If it were broken you would have heard like cracking from screwing the t valve on too tight. Look for a YT video about installing a fill valve too then you would be able to compare a bit better and see what is going on. If I find one I will post it here for you too. I am sorry I can't help more it is so hard to know what is happening without seeing it. 🙂

Here is a great video that shows all the pieces and if you happen to need to replace the valve it gives great directions too! At 1:13 that is the under nut I am talking about make sure that is secure. As shown at 1:22 the gasket on the inside might be old and cracking if everything is tight, that could be replaced. Those are the only reason I can think of why it is wiggling Good luck, would love to here what it is if you figure it out. 🙂
Can you sit on the seat with lid down after it is installed or is there a gap between set and toilet bowl?
Yes, this is so thin that you can still sit on it with no problem with lid up or down.
Jamais de joint téflon si c'est un raccord mobile. Juste un joint caoutchouc sur eau froide.
Did the washers come with it or was that separate?
Not sure what washers you are referring to there are rubber gaskets that are in the water hose though if that is what you mean.
has anyone ran into the problem of the control panel leaking? I've been troubleshooting for about a month and cant find answers...
Note: It is recommended when not in use to have turned down the water pressure to zero before pushing the off button. As for your leak, I believe the only fix is to install another bidet from what I have read.
No need to use plumbers tape, the rubber washers make the seal. I installed mine without a leak. Just make sure you do not cross thread and do not use excessive force when tightening.
Way to much plumbers tape being applied. I found no need for it. No leaks without it.
Helpful and errotic.
What a mess
