On a separate note: Can we all just agree that whoever voiced Igon fucking killed it.
Legit got chills when he screamed "O terror incarnate!" on the road you first see him. Man put his soul into those lines.
I was giddy and laughing everytime I summoned him and he started with his "CURSE YOU BAAAYYYLE!" speech, he poured his heart and soul into that voice and it's amazing.

Honestly made the boss fight harder because of how hard I was laughing.
I got to hear his initial couple of lines after being summoned more times than I'd like to admit, for the sole reason that the summon sign has that god awful confirmation prompt that doesn't let you roll. Imagine if Radahn's summon signs required you to select yes every single time

I can 100% confirm that if you give her the sleep drug it is impossible to get the dragon priest form. You can still get the dragon warrior form though from the dark keep painting.

Big props to anyone who did the Bayle fight without meeting the priestess. She gives you a single use item meant to be used when fighting Bayle that lessens his damage. You can ask her for another one once you've used the last. Incredibly useful to use when Bayle's 2nd phase starts

You do lose out on the quest rewards for defeating Bayle the Dread tho, those rewards are her mace and a dragon priest heart which allows you to take a dragon human form which boosts ancient lighting incantations
There is another dragon form so it’s not a big loss. Her version just has cloth pieces.

So THAT was what the concoction was meant for. A little sad that I missed the dragon waifu and her unique incantation, but also not that sad because drugging her and having her betray her lord makes me feel very bad for a really fucking cool character. Well. NG+5 here I come I guess

Like many things in Elden Ring, it kind of is, and kind of isn't. When we do the normal Igon/Florissax questline, once Bayle is killed, her job is done, and she no longer needs exist. Her entire purpose was two things, giving her sleep to Placidusax (Something I imagine many dragons did), and spreading Dragon Communion to mankind so they could do what the dragons couldn't. I assume, based on the fact that she leaves her heart for you, she sees you as the truest form of Communion partaker and thus rewards you with an Ancient Dragon heart, the only one you'd ever get in all of Elden Ring. She deems her life's work over and thus is happy to be the reward in that way.
If you break her pact with Placidusax, she's kind of mentally broken up about it when Bayle dies, and thus doesn't really think to reward you beyond the Bolt of Florissax spell she never really used. Not like it would be really polite or socially acceptable of her to rip her own heart out in front of you I guess. Once you tell her you basically chose to break her pact for whatever reason (Lorewise, this would either be knowledge that this poor girl hasn't slept in who knows how long, or because the Tarnished is literally a maniac who just likes testing crap out), while she is angry, she realizes she can use the situation to do something that she's probably heard about from other Ancient Dragons, which is bonding with humanity. We know her heart boosts Dragon Cult incantations, which is the set of incantations based on humanoid renditions of dragon magics and was taught to humans by dragons who bonded with them. So now she can be one of those dragons, which she never was really able to be before, nor had any thought of being before. And considering you already earned her respect for killing Bayle, you're the best choice for her to swear a bond with.
So honestly, it's really just up to how you wanna feel about it lol Do you wanna help an Ancient Dragon fulfill her lifelong duty and die happily in the embrace of her Lord's approval, or do you wanna help an Ancient Dragon fulfill her lifelong duty while at the same time completely ruining her relationship so you can get in on that rebound?
Why is she offering sleep to placisusax? Whats the lore behind it?
maybe just religion thing, or maybe because she knows placidusax eternally waiting for his god (if you know the lore), in case his god coming back

Placidusaux is sleeping to heal following his fight with bayle, hence when we find him hes damaged
That is just blatantly wrong. Even the base game tells us that they are waiting for their god to return in a dormant state for ages. It has nothing to do with Bayle. @@dmanking11

You also get the Dragon Form if you complete her quest normally. This route seems like you don't get it. Spirit Ashes are cool and all, but I doubt she's as good as Tiche, Finlay or Mimic.

I view this as merciful if your tarnished has killed placidusax. There is no longer a lord for her to serve so we simply correct the folly of her ways. She rightfully acknowledges our righteous and wise tarnished as true Lord.

He seems to be cursed like Melania and Miquella. He’s got some ancient god snake living inside his eyes.
no stories but his kindling states that just like his sister, he had a vision of flame only he hated it. this implies a connection to Melina over anyone else. secondly, the remembrance of Gaius states that he become the commander of Messmer’s army due to their similarities, that being older brothers to the lion and both being cursed at birth. Gaius trained with Radahn under the same Alabaster lord, and was the oldest student. this implies that Messmer is the older brother of Radahn. so those are the only two real deep lore implications i’ve been able to actually find. everything else is mostly just breadcrumbs or other random shit. like the Shaman Village, is this Marika’s home village or what? who is the “Grandmother” in the tree and what does that mean for Marika? so many unanswered questions with new ones posed…
