- Monika and I went for a ride into Greenwich for lunch at the famous old market, then grabbed a coffee at a coffee shop/art studio, before heading up to the top of the Royal Observatory hill for one of the best viewing spots in London!
This is a superb spot for bikers and everyone in general- it is a brilliant place to spend a day. You get a feeling of space, a beautiful park, stunning views, parking’s very easy, there’s a ridiculous amount of stuff to see and there are loads of coffee spots, plus you’re right in-between Greenwich and Blackheath for some real back in the day, lost in time London vibes- places that have maintained their old character.
Greenwich is, in my mind, one of the absolute top places to visit n London.

Monika, your film making gets better and better. I love the slightly subversive story of the boots, within the bigger narrative. You also make the UK look absolutely amazing. Editing is not easy, but you guys are so fun to hang out with. Monika needs more screen time though! I know it's Freddie's channel, but come on! (BTW, Freddie, I just washed my bike with WD40 too!) Love Greenwich! The old man (now sadly deceased) lived in Nevada St for years (above the coaching inn). The corner used to be the Spread Eagle restaurant, antique shop and book shop. Lovely spot.

I love Greenwich too. Every time I’m in London, I need to go there and spend the day. Haven’t been there in a while, courtesy of the pandemic.
Good luck in Tenerife Freddy . My sister moved there just before covid . Make sure you have good healthcare out there . If they have another lockdown out there be aware that THEY MEAN IT !........600 euro fine for being caught outside!

I used to live in Blackheath, and love this VLOG! Another great vantage point is just half a mile west of The Royal Obseravtory, and is in a little hidden spot/green named The POINT, or Greenwich Point.

It’s a wonder we have never met ! You parked your bike down Straightmouth Road, this is where my mate lives, and I’m always in and around Greenwich. I am currently about to hopefully pass my test and my first real bike will be the Speedmaster 865. If ... or when I see you both, I will show out to you ! Great channel Freddy !

I lived in London for 23 years: north and northeast, but I think the nicest part is southeast London. Apart from this part Charlton and Crystal Palace are favourite towns of mine. I used to romp around London on my bikes, just like you do.
I hope you continue your channel in Tenerife for your six months there.
Edit: the closest thing thrill-wise to a motorcycle is a Can-Am F3-S. 1330 cc inline triple. I have one. I refer to it as my car.
A really good video. You are a natural in front of a camera/phone. Your video took me back a few years. Early on sunday mornings in the summer huge balloons used to be launched from Blackheath to drift over London. Don't know if it still goes on. Blackheath and Greenwich is a lovely area. Always connected with the Thames and the sea. Did you notice the red time ball on the roof of Flamstead House that used to be raised and fall every day just before 1pm. In Victorian times shipping used to wait in the Thames below with eagle eye bosuns recording the time as exactly 1pm when the red ball began to drop. My father studied at the Royal Naval College as a young man to join the Merchant Navy so your video brought a lot of fond memories flooding back for me. Greenwich Park and the whole wider area has so much rich history going back hundreds and hundreds of years. You could do a whole series on greenwich and the surrounding area e.g. the Isle of Dogs. I remember when there weren't any skyscrapers that are now Canary Wharf where there were just the old docks, East India and Canada Docks. A long time ago, Thanks for making your video showing how the area now looks. Good luck with Tenerife. Take a trip to Gran Canaria as the interior is really spec. Some great biking roads spectacular views.

Great vlog again guys I reckon when you taste life in Tenerife you won't want to come back this is exactly what I want to do but I was thinking mainland Spain for at least 6 of the winter months of the the year if not permanently, in the process of getting the house ready for market and trying to convince the wife I guess you will take the Bonneville too . Do bikes have to pay the congestion charge these days ? .Good luck with the hunt guys look forward to the update . : )

Hi Freddy & Monica ! I live down the rd. from Belvedere in bexleyheath . Loving your vids especially Tenerife we go there all the time especially el Medano . We stay in golf Del sur . Not sure if you know but the caterham car you was admiring are made down the road from Belvedere in Erith .

Another great video. I had to laugh at the number of times Monika managed to film her new boots! Hope you get your Tenerife accommodation sorted. I used to live in Cascais in Portugal, where Triumph now do all their press bike releases. If you fancy a detour on the way home the roads are fantastic.

While not a better view than Greenwich, the view from Alexandra Palace is very picturesque. Been there a few times and it does have a great view.
Parliament Hill in Hampstead for views there’s also cute little back streets you can explore and lots of famous peoples houses. You could also head to the Spaniards Inn which is a well known lovely pub right near the Bishops Ave which is where the billionaires live.

Come out of Vauxhall station. Turn left past MI5 Or 6 whichever and you get a great view down the Thames with the House of Parliament and the Wheel. Another stunning view in London.

London roads are a nightmare Freddie, I went to the Bike Shed yesterday and everywhere is 20mph around the centre of town and lots of roads closed off. I was born and raised in Hackney and thought I knew Shorditch but with so many roads closed I struggled to get where we wanted to go.
And what is it with some pushbike riders I nearly wiped a few out, jumping red lights and pulling out of junctions without looking!

Thank very much Peter! Its true- pushbike riders largely do whatever they want and follow no rules. The roads in London really are now so congested that driving a car is very close to unbearable, and the 20 limits and closed off roads make it hard even for bikes!

Your mix of moto fashion, modern lifestyle and thirst for history (which will get stronger as you get older 😂) is unique. I worry you will lose that when you move to that volcanic island. Enjoy your stay but come home and spread your wings to further north in the homeland dude.

There’s a better place near Greenwich to see this side of London from higher above. No tourists just locals. Not far from where you pushed the bike but not saying more as I despise tourists and crowds. Greenwich is very nice but if you live locally you discover much better places and avoid tourists spots. Thank you for sharing your day with us! But man, those loose laces… O_O

Very good question! I'm one of the very annoying Brits to be able to get an Irish passport, because my dada was born in Omagh, Northern Ireland (he lived there until he was two years old). My dad's sister however, was born a couple of years after they left Ireland, so she and all of her children are not eligible (my cousins are very angry about this!😆).

If so well done and does she have some sort of phone mount when holding the phone to secure it so she doesn't drop it when filming behind you?
