Tomboy_a_bit. How this vid made me smile bringing back some old memories I hadn't thought about for many years. My old mate Tom bought an old transit van. Loaded his Triumph 650cc speed twin in the back and would travel around the UK by van then get his bike out and go riding. He said his van really came in handy when going to Wales or Scotland especially as his tent leaked. So he slept with his bike. Safe cruising girl.
Great post! I collected my Himalayan today in a renault traffic van. I used the same method on the front forks but also one strap through the back wheel to each tie-down at the rear, and also locked the front brake with tie wraps and the bike was rock solid for a four hour drive in Latvia😎👍
Great tips. There's nothing worse than dropping a bike in a van. Or damaging it by strapping it wrongly. I've seen many disasters so all advice is great to share. As you get more trips and experience and confidence... keep dropping the tips and hints. It'll always help somebody avoid a problem. You got a great van, the possibilities are endless with a blank canvas like Max. Happy you're a newly converted van geek now Di!
'All by myself'' (run and duck) - not a bit of help by Simon pushing? Love it. But surely that Harley in the summer was even heavier? We always need some help (and for safety).
Simon said I did it, he didn’t push. I’m still not that confident to check if it’s truth and do it entirely alone. I was the one pushing the Harley or any bike.

Run and duck with helmet... trust me I've hitted my head probably 3 times and hurts bad...anyway... motovans are the best thing you can buy after a motorcycle. I proudly own a transporter t5 which I use to do everything. Diesel engine are tough and cheap. Justake sure you replace your diesel filter on time to prevent your injectors from damage and use the synthetic oil brand you should or your turbo will acumulate and burn chunks of stuck oil, plus your egr valve will acumulate too much carbon too. Try just hanging a hammock, That was my solution to space until I decide if I camperize or not, I'll probably just instal a little side storage and a tiny removable sink/stove all in one for camping. Y could hang multiple hammocks if I need.
When I tie down my bike. I go around the fork right above the wheel nut. Save your shock woman. Then nice and tight tie down. Be well and ride safe.
