I have a very similar set by Lionel. I have some old 1950's American Flyer trains, but I didn't realize that American Flyer was still making trains! Really cool 😎
@@Cozmixcartoons Lionel bought the rights to Flyer in 1967 and has been making a limited product line since the 80s. They have put more effort into the line the last 10 years.
@JL85FWV3 That is very interesting and definitely explains the similarities between the Lionchief and Flyerchief series. Thanks for the info! I'm going to have to keep my eyes peeled for some of these next time I'm at a train show
@@Cozmixcartoons Flyer is usually cheaper than O gauge, just make sure you know what you're getting into: Most of what you'll find at shows will probably be MPC era so minimal sound and transformer control only. FlyerChief is only a few years old, maybe 5-7, they made the Chief/bluetooth controls as a stop-gap since Base3 was delayed for so long. If you go that route you'll probably find that postwar flyer is better running than MPC Lionel flyer.
I have the first Polar Express Lionel put out. Bought it 20 years ago, cost a little over $100. No sounds. Smoke works. Cars still light up. You got a good deal.
I’m impressed , Six wheel trucks on the tender and passenger cars. Looks great !

The american flyer s gauge polar express is definitely the best ready to run polar express kit. Mine smokes amazingly
