THIS is why Jesus said it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. The rich trust their riches, so they don't need to rely on God. Many people need to have everything taken away, before they finally stop trying to stay in control, and finally surrender to Him.

@@amoschiasson6860 I love this passage, and another thing i like to ponder on is that we don't actually know if he decided to do it or not, as scripture does not tell us that he did not do it, just that he went away sad about it. I have heard theories that this man is actually Nicodemus who came to Jesus at night in hiding. That he came again, hence the rich young ruler already referring to Jesus as "master", there are apparently (i have not dug into it myself) some extra-biblical writings about Nicodemus being very rich and young at the time of Jesus and how he left the pharisees and became very poor in the physical. Something to think about.

She is holding the same standard of judgment of God that she does of man. Man has always let me down so God will too. They are not the same. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can imagine.

A price was already paid for her so that she need not sell herself for any reason. I'm 64 years old and still making a mess of life !! I Have a relationship with JESUS But still have Stuff going on In my head that I would not want anyone to Know about !! I no longer Drink or take Drugs however I still have trouble turning down a Joint so I distance myself from people that are likely to offer me a smoke ! So I'm praying for GODS grace !! I guess what I'm trying to get across is Finding the LORDS grace is a life long uphill battle but one worth continuing till your last breath !! even with the inevitable failures we all face !! I totally understand her. I struggle so bad with knowing you want to trust God but being freaking terrified of it because of how you’ve been hurt in life.

Ironically "carbon offsets" don't even work, let alone her insane logic.
The only way to know if you can trust is by trusting. This applies to God too. I had the same conversation with God this girl is having right now. It got to the point that God told me that I trusted myself 100% and my life is terrible. Why not give him the same faith and allow Him to show me that He's worth it? I had no reply to that other than ok. Now I didn't know what to expect at the time when I submitted to Jesus as Lord, but I was willing to try because I knew NO ONE else could give me what Jesus promised me. He hasn't let me down yet.
I have been where she is: feeling abandoned and that God hasn't showed up for me. A couple scriptures come to mind:
1. "A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the Lord." - Proverbs 19:3
I was too proud to recognize that I put myself in the tough situations - it was not God's fault; it was mine.
2. "You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today." - Deuteronomy 8:17-18
This was also something I failed to recognize - my intelligence and ability to produce wealth were from God - not me. I could have been born completely different and in a completely different circumstance/environment and be nothing like I am - it is because of God that I have anything good.
Kudos to that guy for pressing in and asking tough questions; let's pray this is a catalyst for all involved to seek God and continue surrendering more to Him!
I can relate to this: "I once was blind but now I see" ....... 2 Corinthians 4:4 : “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

The reasons why we have trials and tribulations to to go through them trust the Lord through the storm; storms of our life and then turn that into testimony
I can say there was a time I didn’t trust God and didn’t know Him. But through a process I got to know Him and took steps of faith to trust in Him. Now I can’t imagine going through this life without Him cause He is trustworthy and faithful. 🙌🏽
This is a very relatable topic to most believers and I appreciate that there were people that had extended help to me. My friend, a local pastor, literally provided me a job when I had nothing and I have my own family to provide for. It does not pay much according to today's standard but it is a respectable job. I deeply respect him and the people that do the same. Yes, there are people who are devoting themselves to faith and may not even realize when and how they have been used as a God's instrument to touch other people's hearts and lives. I am also thinking that today's miracles are more personal to remind us that God is with each of us.
When we talk about trusting in God, it doesn't just apply to wealth within this world. That's where I think certain Christians seem to miss the point.
Matthew 6:19-20 " “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal."
Matthew 24:35 " Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."
Jesus speaks to us in regards to this. We sometimes don't trust God because we set our goals on the things of this world rather than the things that are beyond this world. The goals of this world have a ceiling, an end, a line. The goal of eternal life has no ceiling, because it's everlasting. If we set our eyes on the things of God and separate ourselves from the things of this world by being set apart and walking righteously, we will see God as a result.

i also struggled with trusting God at some point and the issue wasn't God. the issue was how i defined GOd. He is not an easy way out or a lucky charm, He is simply the one who ensures that all evil fashioned against us will not prosper. I had to stop being afraid of failing and people failing me, i had to learn how to forgive,trust and give hope through the love of Christ. Fear is this generations motivation thats why they can't trust anyone

It’s like when Jesus told the rich man that if he wanted to follow Him he would have to sell everything he owned first. It’s not to say that wealth is bad. The point is that for the rich man wealth was an idol and God requires us to give up our idols to truly follow Him.

What would be more helpful to her than Him saying "just trust God," is point her to faithful Christians who could help provide her the means to leave her line of business...how to become entrepreneurial, and then see how God uses His people to be good, ethical business people, who lay down what they have in the way that Jesus did with His life, that actually help those who cry out for help (in her case she's crying out for help) and how she can then do likewise, through the Spirit, by faith in the gospel.
@@colab-r8 that’s what I was thinking,he was kind of just using a lot of Christian buzz words and phrases and not directly calling out her sin or using very much scripture.Believers need solid community to lovingly and graciously guide each other through scripture and be direct about sin.Saying to just trust God is often what holds so many people back from growing in their faith and often is what leads many to never come to church again because their doubts are not being answered.
Just because bad things happen to us doesn’t mean God isn’t there. Humans always prove to be the cause of our own demise. Jesus is the only way. We can cry about therapy but Jesus is the only one to live a completely sinless life and was still put to death. We have no excuses
I can appreciate his words and attempt to encourage her but I’m wishing he gave her a sliver of testimony too; a time he was reluctant to trust the Lord yet he received favor. As a young woman approaching my mid 20s I can relate to her fears and difficulties with obedience. But as a newer Christian, I think a piece of testimony would’ve been more encouraging along with scripture rather than just biblical quotes. 🙏🏼
What she is missing is that she did none of that which she thinks she did all by herself, God did that, so that she could come through and use the strength he gave her to overcome... in order to share her story and shed His light to the world.
It’s clear people need to read the Bible more. These stories like hers are as old as time.
She actually seems better versed in the Bible than many others I see online. I could be wrong, but either way it can be a long process between reading and wanting to know God's word and being able to internalize it. She knows she's sinning, but she doesn't know how to trust God to protect her if she stops. Hopefully this conversation helps her get a step closer
I understand the struggle she’s expressing. It’s tough. But as long as she keeps her guards up and doesn’t invite God in, she will continue to be in pain. That pain doesn’t go away with money or fame. She’ll continue to spiral the further she gets rich or famous. It’s why Jesus told us very clearly about the impact of money and power. It leads to hardened hearts and severed relationships.
I think it’s bs when people say, “God has a purpose for you” or “God is testing you”. Why would God need to test you if he’s all knowing? He already knows what you’re going to choose to do.
Because the test is for us - not Him 😂

Imagine the christian's being eaten by lions in rome saying "nah I can't trust him" Does she know that she can collect all the accomplishments in life she wants and spend eternity separated from God? Why not be faithful even if your calling is to be closer to the poverty line?

If God granted her all her wishes, she would be "God".
Also, when she tries to draw a distinction between trials/tribulations and things just going out of God's control, it kind of fails.
When bad things happen, she ends up attributing it to God missing that bad thing headed her way. So when you think about it, when is it a trial? When is God building her character?
Right now she sees God as a non-omnipotent wish-granting genie unworthy of her full trust, this is not the God of the Bible.
Hopefully, she will continue to pursue the Lord. Reading her Bible will do her a lot of good in dealing with all of these burdens.
You can't be living in and promoting sin and claim you are redeemed. This is where the Catholics get it right, as much as this woman thinks she believes in Christ, she is still seperated from God's grace.
James 2:17 : so also faith by itself, if it doesn't have works, is dead.
The guys in that podcast missed the core problem that the woman had. She thinks that her good works, that she is doing and will do in the future, offset the sin she knows she's engaging in.
That is monstrously terrible theology. They are so focused on getting her to quit OF and "trust God" that they completely missed that she has a fundamental misunderstanding of Law and Gospel.
It would be fantastic if she quit OF. But the sin is still done, and she still thinks that she must earn God's love by 'offsetting' that sin with good works. What a horrid message to leave off. No wonder she was crying, all the prescriptions offered to her were entirely devoid of the grace given freely by Christ via his death on the cross, and resurrection 3 days later.
That is what she should have heard. Not that she must quit to be made right with God, but that her faith in Christ means she is already forgiven. And that she should work as hard as she can to put her old life behind her because she has been granted grace, apart from any condition or good deed.

These kinds of ways of getting money as a young lady is literally a losing investment that pays money up front. When the money is gone, what’s left is personal shame, a name that’s famous for degrading and dehumanizing work, damage left on countless other people, emotional instability and many men who will refuse to see you for who you are now and later. The ONLY upside is the money and that goes away FAST. When the financial opportunity is finally dried up, which can take a very long time, you’ll just be a shell of a person. And broke again.

Great video but I feel bad for her , I think this video has helped me by reminding myself of a quote I heard but fair warning u might butcher it " God sees time differently from us and as we see years as a long time , God See's them as mere days or seasons" , naturally we think when we pray we should get what we want immediately but if we don't know how to steward what we ask of him we'll either idolize or mess it up and God doesn't want that for us.

You know as a young man. I actually kind of agree with her. God hasn’t been very good in my relationship life either. I take care of my appearance, I workout, I work full time, and I’m in a band on the side. But it doesn’t matter how hard I try, there will always be another man that is better, taller or more handsome. I want confront God about this face to face as well. Until he moves his hand and adjusts the game he likes to play regarding relationships, I’m not supporting the nuclear family either. Simple as that.
Put your efforts into seeking His face. Strive to know Him as your God, father, and friend. SEEK him ALWAYS. In this seeking, you will fall more and more in love with Him. This is the primary relationship that we all need. From there, your trust in Him will grow, and so will your confidence in the fact that you are wonderfully made. Whether or not you find someone is irrelevant. If it’s His will, she will be there, and she will be from Him. Better to wait, submit to Him, and have the potential to meet the right girl than to seek her now, and possibly be blinded by your own shortcomings. He knows your heart, and its desires. Remember that. He made you. You’ll find that once you seek Him, submit to Him, and trust Him, you’ll be ok with whatever happens, and you’ll have confidence in that. The identity that you once knew will fall away, and your identity will be in Christ.
I have struggled with similar things, and am blessed to have a beautiful bride and children. I still struggle with my flesh every day, as we all do, but Christ has me covered. HE has paid. He is in control. And I know that above all adversity, he reigns supreme. Anything good that is in me, I know is from God, and everything that is less than good is my flesh, and that requires CONTINUAL submission. Much love, brother.
