Ignorance and bliss sounds interesting. Stupio is a latin word meaning wilful ignorance. 😅

Soren speaks to much more than faith. He teaches us how to take up a path and walk it, in the face of doubt and challenge.

I'm interested in Heretic, it'll be interesting to see the evolution/different versions of the story of Jesus. I'm currently reading We Who Wrestle With God and it is pretty good so far

Not December but I just found out they were published end of September and beginning of October. Both by a translator named Bill Porter. Goes by Red Pine. The heart Sutra and the diamond sutras. His first audiobook releases? Very excited. Also just about to finish Truth by Vivek Ramaswamy. On my second time thru we who struggle with God.

@@alohm how was Truth? Read both Trumps “The Art of The Deal” and Vance book “Hillbilly Elegy” before either of them were running for office.
It would be cool to read some Vivek as well to see what the guy is about! 🤷‍♂️

@@BookLabBjorn I like Vivek (His name means Wisdom) I have not read the books you mentioned? It is a good book. Not dripping with insights but worth the read. * I had a prof had us read the art of the deal but that was decades ago? I forgot.

Remember that truth is an Agreement ;)

@@alohm yeah, “The Art of the Deal” is feels so dated and it wasn’t great to begin with…

@@BookLabBjorn It was not popular with most of us back then. A couple of us were, but that is the follower mindset - they idolize and never ideate. Meaning they adore their idols and never try to be a shining example themselves.

You may want to look at karen Armstrong's the art of scripture? It would be a good base to begin your exploration?

12:12 sadly the issue is not with truth... It is that truth is an agreement... William james and cs pierce.

9:52 i used to have to look up words all the time. Not so often. I looked up erudition and brio. Not knowing brio myself. The search showed his book as top result. That means he used a thesaurus to write the blerb 😅😮😢. I didnt know what it meant either. That in psychology means they do not know their audience. If I didnt know that word, 99% of English speakers would not. I was tested 😅. Using language above your audience denatures your point and your authority. Also, the words essentially mean the same. One is something well said, the other means it is said with style. So his blerb denatures this point. Lolz. The world we live in today... Obvious obfuscation, but for what purpose? I think they know not themselves... Sounding cool never takes the place of a cool idea...

Northrop Frye wrote a couple books on the great code how the Bible influenced our literature and our language. Thus our very thinking and identity is based on these concepts.
