This song remember me good old moments in the 60`s ....and in fact it sounds like a 60`s song!!...wooww is incredible to hear something like this in the 21st century...and I can't believe this band was born in 2001.
Two kids said i looked like Julian so i discovered the strokes last in the Aug. 2009 and have been listening to them everyday since. Everything in a band i was looking for i found.
Im sure that was one of their best shows ever, the strokes are legend they deserve that title. This is so heart warmingly nostalgic This is so heart warmingly nostalgic
Last night she said, "Oh, baby, I feel so down. Oh it turns me off, When I feel left out." So I, I turn 'round, "Oh, baby, don't care no more. I know this for sure, I'm walkin' out that door." Well, I've been in town for just about fifteen minutes now And baby, I feel so down And I don't know why I keep walkin' for miles See, people they don't understand No, girlfriends, they can't understand Your grandsons, they won't understand On top of this, I ain't ever gonna understand... Last night she said, "Oh, baby, don't feel so down. Oh, it turns me off, When I feel left out." So I, I turn 'round: "Oh, baby, gonna be alright." It was a great big lie 'Cause I left that night, yeah Oh, people they don't understand No, girlfriends, they don't understand In spaceships, they won't understand And me, I ain't ever gonna understand... Last night she said, "Oh, baby, I feel so down. See, it turns me off, When I feel left out." So I, I turn 'round: "Oh, little girl, I don't care no more. I know this for sure, I'm walking out that door," yeah
if i had a choice between watching this in low quality or watching it in high definition i would definitely choose low quality. somehow, it gives off a whole different vibe that really suits the strokes.
This is so heart warmingly nostalgic music at top levels. period. enjoy looks so 80s :') This is so heart warmingly nostalgic Awesome sound live throw back,
that's really funny to see them discussing at the very beginning of the video, about who had to start the music! So, Albert told Nick it was him, and he got surprised! :-)
That's so random. And then Julian grabs a beer at the end. Yes. AWW, NICKK! I only saw the smile when he started the first time, and then I went back and heard him go, "Me? Me?" and Albert's like, "You? You?" God, I love them.
Albert admitted in an interview that nick is a lot better Nick plays since he was 5 years old and Albert since 15. Theres a big difference the solos played by Albert are more in his style rather than Nicks who plays the badass ones while Alberts plays the bluesy and the emotional
@Electronitron What the Libs lacked in musical skill they made up for in soul, lyrics, melody and for being the most exciting band in 20 years. Doherty is a hero
why couldnt that have been me?????? i dont care how viscous he did it as long as he did it!!!!! but this makes me hope that that girl was honestly a girl! and that she realizes how friggen lucky she was/is!!!!!!!!
Im sure that was one of their best shows ever, the strokes are legend they deserve that title.

a round of applause for the strokes! A band that manages to put even the most respected bands to shame, with there charisma alone! :D
You all saw the guy with the scarf too, right?
Cody Chesnutt is a friend of the band. He is a musician.
probably the most known live version.. along with that jacket :P
classic
that's really funny to see them discussing at the very beginning of the video, about who had to start the music! So, Albert told Nick it was him, and he got surprised! :-)
this is my favorite version of them performing this song live
god i would do anything to have been at that show
Awesome sound live throw back,
he's a singer/guitarist who has a great CD out called The Headphone Masterpiece and he did a song with The Roots
ohhhhhhhh wow, i love this so much
@killakan81 No, The Strokes' manager is white and his name is Ryan Gentles. The man in this performance Cody Chessnutt. He is an R&B musician.
classic song of rock! great!!
What a surreal 3 minutes and 43 seconds
That's so random. And then Julian grabs a beer at the end. Yes. AWW, NICKK! I only saw the smile when he started the first time, and then I went back and heard him go, "Me? Me?" and Albert's like, "You? You?" God, I love them.
Hi from the future
seriously, the only (newish) band from America that doesn't look naive to me
Newish? They came out in 2001..that's not really new anymore.

The best song of the millennium.
@fleppie2010 just bc theyre not suicidal that doesnt make them less poetic and brilliant
Cody Chesnutt's the fucking man.
@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 That is not Jimi Hendrix... He died waaaaay before this.
1:50 that was a drug deal caught on camera.. lol and the in the modern age we can see Jules getting a hit before starting the song.
I think you're right, a little bit viscously as well!
@FemmeFatalee nvm its that dude from the roots...lol
@FLaiR791 He is a singer and songwriter...look up "I Look Good In Leather" HAHA
no nick always does the bang bang bang, then albert comes in with the bang bang.
nick .my idol
Christ, even the fans are fucking cool!
cody chestnutt is a bad ass, with great music if you disagree just ask the roots.
@ak2689 I love the libs, but the strokes have done so much more for music. Theyre also much more creative.
baby julesss
Would do anything for that jacket
That guy on the stage was trying to pickpocket Julian hahahaha
the beginning of indie rock...
Not really. That was in the 90s. This is more garage rock revival.
The hobo pickpocketed Jules xD Did you see it?
Cody Chesnutt is a friend of the band. He is a musician.
thats their music producer .
So sorry if they're not cool for you, Bruce Willis in 'Die Hard'

Definitely the most awkward performance, but still better than recent ones. XD
