Wow I love AWK and kinda forgot about him over the years. He’s so young here and very well spoken. A very lovable magnetic personality with a good message. These days I’m not partying as hard but then again, that’s my “understanding” of party I’m comparing it to. Maybe he’s onto something when he’s talking about doing what you wanna do IS partying. Conan has great guests but this is precisely the type of energy to be around that excels him an entertainer.
That's the way I see it when he explained it.
Say for example, somebody wants to go skydiving or something. So they, and their friends, are cranking up "Party Hard" on the drive over there, going skydiving and having a great time.
That, is still technically partying 👍💯
That kind of "energy" is called hedonism and does nothing for the soul.

Clean shaven Andrew WK looks so much like a different person entirely. Its still him (nose, eyebrows, roundish cheeks that hollow around a line behind smile line, inflated biceps with the line tattoos), but I can see why the double stunt conspiracy is a thing.
As usual for myself...I'm always late. Fortunately not too much this time: stumbled on YT on She is Beautiful video. And then happend something that happened only loooong time ago with The Clash version of I Fought The Law - I couldn't spend a single day without watching/listening to that video.

I'm 62 soon to be 63, and saying this cause there's a bunch of my generation that's declares that music from 70-es or earlier of bit later.....the old music is the only best one.
Whtich is total crap of the statement - not Andrew W.K. is the example of something brilliant and new. There lots of young, even old ppl doing new gorgeous tunes and sounds. Just surf a bit through this heaven called UA-cam. Everything is right there...on the plate! Enjoy.
Btw....what actually hits me while listening/watching this tune/video, and Andrew point that in this interview is LOVE. The combination of that huge energy flow while singing and moving and telling words of love. That's his magic formula!

The first time I met Andrew WK I asked permission to touch his hair, and then he asked for permission to touch mine (I had waist long blue braids at the time) and we both gave consent, then lovingly touched each other’s hair. Then later he consented to me kissing him on the check for a photo. It’s the best celebrity interaction I’ve ever had and I’ll never forget it. Such a gentle, lovely, understanding person.
Met him a few times got to hang out two out of the three times, he’s such a damn sweet heart.
I keep reading about how kind he is in person man that makes him even cooler. What an awesome dude

I remamber the first time i heard party hard, it was the opening track to something like the MTV kids awards or something. One Saturday afternoon, soon as i got chance on monday i was in the record store. I called it the song on that award show opening, i didn't evan know the tracks name. Guy behind the counter did, and produced this CD from under the counter. Still love it nearly 20 years later just shows there's no helping some people. The whole time i was with my ex she couldn't stand it.

This is why I love andrew WK. He has enough genius, kindness and crazyness to pull it off and be that unique.
So, what has happened to this guy? Did he pass away?
