One of the things I love about watching solo let's plays is the slower pace. The more... "realistic" sized builds that get their very own episodes and show cases. There's nothing wrong with epic builds, and solo worlds deserve them too, but they're more like long term projects.
There is a sense of inspiration you can get from watching someone work out their builds or process. Like, I am pretty good at building the basic versions of most farms and storage solutions. But I really enjoy building, even if I'm often repeating the same themes and builds over and over. Toss me into a multi player setting and I'm your resource gathering gal. Put on an audio book or casual chat in a VC and I'll resource gather for hours. However, give me enough dyes, patterns, and wool a d ill wallpaper a world in banners, lol.

I hate using sand for glass. Something in me is very much against using a non renewable resource to create a resource I can farm.

My favourite part of Minecraft is the community, particularly the bedrock community, coming from only playing MC on single player worlds, I recently discovered playing on servers 6 months ago and the one that I am on plus many other discords I’m part of members are always willing to offer advice or explain mechanics and I am 10000% grateful for this supportive community!

Great video as always. I like how your villager trading hall is looking. I think that iron golem spawns can happen up to 4 blocks above the village center bed, so your spawn proofing looks great (and isn't obvious or obnoxious).
I think my favorite part of Minecraft is the freedom of what you can do in the world. It might seem like a cop-out answer, but just yesterday, I finished digging out the massive cave where I will build my base, I followed a tutorial for building a farm (then spent some time troubleshooting why it was broken as several people in the video comments had said -- successfully), and, since it was a raid farm I was building, finding all the places I didn't spawn proof correctly and died several times trying to retrieve my stuff, save my villager, and beat the rogue raid with my 8-year-old's help -- which was successful.
With that said, I love the community of positive people in this community (such as yourself) who share farm builds and other time saving things. I love when a system comes into place that saves me time and energy, like the shulker-loaders that saved a ton of time organizing all the stone and ore drops from my digging adventures (over two double chests full of shulkers full of stone). And I love the multiplayer component that allows me to play in a world with my kids (and a few of their friends) which helps teach life skills and playing well with others that might not be as obvious on the surface.
Thanks as always for a great video, and for being a small part of what makes Minecraft as a game and community so awesome! Looking forward to what you build next.
    ~Cam

What i love in Minecraft is rebuilding villager houses into a Profession house depends on their work stations and turning it from a village into a City

Love when villagers say "nah your alright ill take a different job and share their workstation rather than my own" 😂

I'm glad you're enjoying having whole back-and-forth discussions in the comments.
I enjoy farming things, both by building farms to automate processes, and also manually. (And while I'm thinking "manually", I like setting up scaffolding to help me get less risky angles around the budding amethyst, and to gather the shards more easily.) I also particularly enjoy being able to farm resources like glass that otherwise would require destroying large amounts of landscape. Non-renewable sand makes me very sad.
I'm pretty sure I had something else to say, but I've forgotten what it was, and it's time to go cook dinner now.

I'm sure the trick to keep villagers linked to their workstation is to place them in 1 block of water by their feet so they are bobbing around standing next to their workstations. I think prowl broke down the why's in a video a while ago.
Also the best part of Minecraft for me is farm building. Taking a few designs from others and adding my own twist on them. It really helps me learn the mechanics and why certain designs work and others don't.

I'm not sure if I have one favourite thing in MC at the moment. I do like exploring and finding treasures and I spend a lot of time expanding the map. Slowly getting into building and detailing, do like a good bit of terraforming. Have a lot of fun mining - strip mining rather than caving - and the day I don't squee on finding diamonds, someone needs to stage an intervention. Easier to say what I dislike about MC - the need to go to the Nether. Another great vid, thanks Slack! Your dialogue with the villagers never fails to make me giggle :D

@SlacLizard - Love what you have done to your villager trading/iron farm area. I really love the combo of the acacia and the deepslate. I had a similar thing happen to me with my villagers after curing them, but instead of an extra cleric I had two shepherds. I removed all the work stations in the area and had to relink them just like you. I also had a weird thing where one of my villagers after being cured didn't have the discount, so I needed to reinfect them and cure them once again.
My favorite thing to do in Minecraft is to build different farms. I love the whole process of trying to create something to make things easier in the long run. I love trying to accomplish the end result in a variety of ways.

Love how this looks Slack! Orange and black is my favorite color combo so definitely loving how all the builds are looking so far!
As for favorite part of the game; I severely lack any artistic talent, but try to replicate other’s builds without actually copying them. If that makes senses?
I really enjoy mining and exploring. Really love early game map exploring and making a huge map of the world.

Villagers can telepathically detect workstations. It's... weird but controllable if you follow the unwritten rules.

If you convert all the villagers at once they will link to the wrong stations and most likely the golems will stop as they can't get to their station to work. You'll have to break all the stations again and relink them all. * sorry I commented after watching 1 minute lol * And by the way, favourite part of minecraft is watching your content if course *

Looks great! I have built that farm in 2 of my worlds. First one was when they gave a really good deals. Had to eventually do the cure to keep them, but it is still a good design.

I am an mostly technical Minecraft player, but i love architectur. So i alwas try to get my "stuff" ready and sorted and after this i build farms for blocks i like to use. My idea for this series is that you could build farms for blocks too. Like mud and dirt, or froglights, different Treefarms and so on.
By the way Tizz seems to like Beetroot XD
My favorite part in Minecraft is the endgame. All ressources are available and i can build what ever i like. and i did build gigantic builds :)

The village I've been building out in my world (on Android) has 4 brewing stands and 7-8 clerics. They seem to be constantly stealing work stations from each other. All have been traded with.
I suspect the same is happening with other professions.

I was thinking you could remove all those hoppers for your sugar cane farms and put in water streams that dumped into the water of your iron farm.
Then you just add in one more filter for the sugar cane.
This way all the storage is in one place for a bunch of items.

For me personally. I see this series different. I have seen it as kind of.... proof content creators play normal also. Some times slow and steady is just more enjoyable and less stressful.
Me personally I like terraforming. I am better with it than building. Haha

    • @SlackLizard
      @SlackLizard  День тому +1

I'd agree that we do play normal for the most part we are just very selective on what we show in our videos. Now for the most part... there are those who don't play "normal" and will do some shady tactics to make their videos appear as legit gameplay if ya know what I mean.
