13:09 spawners can spawn up to 4 blocks in all directions from the spawner (N,S,E,W, Up & down) if you drop them 7 from the spawner then I think it’s 8/9 blocks vertically and they are removed from the cap and zombies can spawn in quicker, that’s why most flash them to one side with water into a tunnel which takes them up and then drops them so they have half a heart and are 1 hit but I use a TK
@SlackLizard - The pain in making an iron farm in bedrock is so real. I was wondering about something that you mentioned in the video about ticking areas for the crop farms and the geodes. Is there any chance you can explain how you do that? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I put my villagers in stations around the zombie spawner. I think the area of effect is 16 x 16 x 16. And then you can turn the zombies into a simple copper farm
RIP cows. It was bound to happen with all the noise. However, you appeared to trade one noise maker for another. 😁 Fascinating mechanic on the iron farm zombie dynamic. I wouldn't have ever thought about doing a village around a zombie spawner. I might have to try this on my realm. I've resorted to enchanting a slow pick with fortune so I don't accidentally destroy my geode buds. The one time when efficiency V is really bad. I also seem to always forget things when building. Glad I'm not the only one. Great episode as always. I hope you and your family have a great new year celebration and I look forward to what you do next. ~Cam
Yummy steak silent moos haha. Nope that zombie spawner trick was fixed but cure them all for further discount. I did the same but loaded it with 20 of each smith and 20 fletchers for 80 total cured all smiths and the diamond stuff is in the single digits for cost not to mention 1 iron for 1 emerald. Great job Happy New Year
@slacklizard . For the Amethyst use a iron pickaxe width Eff IV and fortune maybe EffIII and you shouldn't accidentally break buds anymore. That's what I do with mine. And ticking area is always turned on in my non hardcore worlds. Just so slow. Lol
0:08:33 get yourself a special, non-efficiency, maybe even wooden, pickax for those amethyst shard harvesting sessions and leave it in there on an item frame
I have done this a few times in my world. I put 40 villagers in seperate "cells". I've only gotten the slight discount. I am thinking of turning all of them into zombie villagers and curing them to make it a better discount. You also get a better discount as hero of the day or whatever thats called. So one of my trading halls is near a pillager outpost farm.
I am so glad you got rid of the cattle. I don't know if it's just me, but cow sounds just sound like clanking machinery to me, throws me right off. I know iron farms are different on Bedrock to Java but is the ticking thing unique to Bedrock too? If not, did you ever do a tutorial on it anywhere, please? I'm going through your back catalogue (TB S4 at the moment) and enjoying the contrast in playing styles between those and this series. You've got even better at doing the voiceovers but the earlier vids are still great to listen and watch. BTW, I've started using "good talk" in real life now. That needs to be a t-shirt sometime :D Great video, thank you!
Them fellas need nommified. Also surprised you didn't get any iron dudes there. For the geode, get yourself a non efficiency pick. It'll give you more control over the budding blocks.
Poor cows in their barn being killed when you know eventually you'll make a new storage area! I have a cheaty iron farm Zombie spawner, think the discounts come everytime a Zombie villager comes...I think
is there a chunk loading thing we can do similar to java (sending minecarts back and forth to the nether) instead of the tick loading thing you are doing? (java also has the permanent spawn loaded chunks they get to use.) i love what you are doing but i still need a lot of achievements lol
This response is gonna sound defensive this Morning cuz I just woke up and honestly it kinda is because I've had this debate before. You may not be here for a debate but for anyone else that may see this comment and have the same questions here's the Answer. Yes Cheats have to be activated to have ticking areas... which I personally think is garbage. Did you know once upon a time in Bedrock Edition you had to turn on "cheats" to have coordinates? There should be separate toggles for game rules and technical world settings and creative settings in worlds and not all be tied to a word called "cheats". On a personal note doesn't bother me at all because I've played Mc for years and don't need achievements and if I ever go creative in a world that world is dead to me for a survival world. My pov is if you go creative why build the farms or anything else. If I have to do anything creative which I do from time to time like make thumbnails I make a copy of the world to do just that as there are many copies of the world in my world folder that people see all the time on my streams and in discord. Hope that answers the question.

You get a slight discount for trading hall near zombie spawner when you kill the villager zombies. But if you get the hero buff you can stack that one
I’m sure you know that by now

Loving this series way too much ❤
Btw when u will make the tutorial on kelp farm Slack

Yea was time for the moo machines to go silent
Happy New Year 2025!!
Slack gathered the Beef for the New Year Celebration 🎊🎉
Can you tell us more about the "Ticking" thing? I didn't know that..

I really love the zombie discount. It helped a lot in a previous realm I was in.
And an iron farm has made an appearance.
Indeed

I love your comment, but think you have a little typo in it. *Ticking. Just looking out for ya pal
@farlapjones good call haha
@@TheRodney62e I had a good chuckle 😆
@farlapjones i saw it. And have no idea how ticking turned to that hahahaha
0:08:33 get yourself a special, non-efficiency, maybe even wooden, pickax for those amethyst shard harvesting sessions and leave it in there on an item frame
Gone with the moo moos lol
Woot Iron farm time!
Crazy I was just looking for a tutorial 😂
I had thought one of the purposes was to have at leas a couple of villagers that trade iron there too. To help with emerald generation.
How is a ticking area made? I've never heard of this before.
You use a command to create an area of permanently loaded chunks
Happy new year!

Good Talk started as a Joke honestly but it's funny how many people use it now

Will have to try that

The cows are no moo-re
I thought that the discount happened when a zombie villager spawned and died.

As far as I'm aware there is no way to chunk load like java. We use the ticking areas on Bedrock.
How did you done ticking area pls explain me
How you have a ticking chunk is it cheats activated world.

@SlackLizard Thank you. I just asked a question, I'm not accusing anyone of cheating.
@@saintsm All good just clarifying
Does anyone else ever have an issue where villagers in the Bedrock Iron Farms won’t connect to a bed and/or don’t reset?
Once in a blue moon I've had that happen and it is fixable but annoying
1st video of 2025
Happy New Year!
