Best version yet. That foam is the game changer. Up to this I have used a strip of elastic band plus brown marker for the back with peacock herl body and head. I will now use that foam for these along with corixa and other aquatic beetles. On your next trip to the dog will you be teaming up with Rhys and will you as a follow on from your first time there have a return match with Rhys on Rutland? Could be the beginning of The Welsh Rarebit Cup 😂😂
@@lindsayiflyfish If you both have a matching dates and times it could still happen. Both of you gel well together in approach of fishing, style and how your vlogs are put together. If and when be on either of your favourite waters. Your combination of humour would result in another epic vlog for both channels.
I've been tying beetles with brown foam, and using the small chenile or peacock herl, with a ginger cock hackle , these sit in the surface film and have worked a treat at Watch water reservoir down the Lammermuir hills. I am waiting for this peacock foam to get into stock so that I can try it ,they also do a kind on coppery brown as well, which might be worth a try. Thanks again for your tutorial 👍👌
Wishing I could have used some of these over the weekend at Clywedog. Think it's still a few weeks away given weather. Perfect, I csn tie some up ready for if/when weather improves
Hiya Lindsay, another great fly fishing tutorial. They are abundant at the moment also on the Dee in Llangollen. I will tie and try this pattern. Thanks. In readiness for your trip to Llyn Clywedog you might like to try the Welsh pronunciation to impress the locals; Coch y bonddu (pronounced) Cock urr bon thee 👍😄🪲🏴Mark… Llangollen
This might help with the pronunciation. Core-ch Er Bon-thee Core - as in centre Ch - as in loch Y - Her without the H Bon - Thee Now don't get me started on Diawl Bach!!😂
Hi Lindsay, A very realistic imitation of the Coch-y-Bonddu beetle, I really like it. Best regards, Wayne 😀👍
Thanks Wayne, appreciated 👍

I would love that Mick but Rhys has a young family and his time is precious.

Originally from Fife in Scotland but lived in England for early 35 years.
This might help with the pronunciation.
Core-ch Er Bon-thee
