Great video. Thanks. Torque is 15 - 20 ft/lb if anyone's looking.
This video gave me the knowledge and confidence to replace this at home. Thank you!
Three things I will add:
1) I used a cotter pin puller to free the plug lock.
2) I put some dielectric grease on the plug and exterior of the plug in case I ever have to take it apart.
3) the sensor is a tapered thread, so it should NOT be bottomed out if you aren’t measuring torque.
4) be prepared to go 1/2 or 1/4 turn extra to present the tab lock in an accessible location.
5) my sensor was 19 mm, and I used a GearWrench instead of a socket.
Those of us grown adults who are still blessed to be able bodied. Have no excuse for not knowing how to fix their own vehicle.
🎉right on time buddy had to replace mines today only video showing and I am doing a 3.6 dodge Durango
Fantastic video. Loved the zoom in and the humor! Thanks!
Great video! My Dodge RAM Promaster won't start. When I try to start the engine, I get the "coolant temp high" message. To reset the system, I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes, but that didn't help. Now, I'm ordering this part and hoping it resolves the issue. If it doesn't, I'll have to tow the van to the dealership. Fingers crossed!
Thanks for the info on the black push button
Nice job 👍
thank you that was helpful. I wish you all the best.

Gracias!!!!!
Keep the good work
That’s what she said 🤟🏾😂🐐
Thank you so much.
What year was this van? Was there a code? Did it clear the code?
Did you have to drain the coolant? only looked like a few drops came out with old sensor.
Shouldn't you have disconnected the negative terminal before removing the sensor?
do you have to drain any coolant first?
On my Dodge Grand Caravan, the coolant temp sensor clip is facing the passenger side, making it near impossible to get the clip undone.
Is that temperature sensoar same for chrysler hemi 5.7 2013??
Does this video work for a dodge nitro 2011 with a 4.0 engine? I really can’t find a video of anyone changing it, need to confirm if it’s the same location as this one.
My fan start blowing at 215 F. Should I suspect this sensor?
😂Thanks thats wat she said😂
My temp sensor is changed now..very easy and guage works properly and no engine light cheers Dan
Lmbo that’s what she said!
What year is that vehicle??
Did you have a p0128 code? Was the dash gauge showing the proper temperature?
I wonder if it was staying under temp even with new thermostat/ bleeding too or other problems 🤔
I change mine thermostats but I’m still having the same problem
@@genojackson7961 staying under temp whats ur problem?
@@izaya2095 code still coming up in keep saying it something wrong with sensor
@@genojackson7961 try from oem from dealer ship im bouta replace my thermostat with from one their cuz my car just eats aftermarket ones on my 4th one
Where can I get the release tool you used?
I used a cotter pin extractor, available at any hardware store.
What size socket is that to remove sensor bolt
3/4
That’s wt she said 😂😂😂
This is one of the two sensors, the other one is underneath the intake manifold 😅
That one is the oil temperature sensor, right above the oil pressure sensor.
Why did you change this my friend did it throw any code? What are the symptoms?
It will turn the check engine light on and throw a “low coolant temp” code.
If you’re squeaky frugal, you may be able to polish the factory sensor with sandpaper and re-install.
