I use Flatline on my kick tracks (EDM). It works perfectly there. On my main bus? It's too unstable for my loud music.
@@OliverShillito flatline is very sensitive on main bus. easily locks up studio one. i'm using i7 with plenty of memory. i find it best to saturate the separate tracks that need it.

Hey Oli, would you recommend something like flatliner for Electronic music? I've been hearing a lot about mastering engineers in things like IDM and those darker genres achieving that level of loudness by doing the old analogue clipping trick. Would this be a decent work around?

@@TheReal_E.IRIZARRY this is what I was thinking man, there's not a lot of electronic people covering it, but I used it on a mix I did recently and it sounded so so good. Paired with the brainworx multiband limiter this thing is absolutely wicked
