- I recently played the ‘Russian Nun Simulator’ Indika and it was okay. In essence it’s about how ‘we’re all trapped in different sorts of prisons’, so yeah. And despite the gaming elements, it was still more like watching a film that - to be honest - I probably wouldn’t have bothered with. However, the setting, atmosphere, and sound design were top notch! I found the overall aesthetic and ascetics (ha) very interesting, and the muttering of prayer was quite relaxing and ASMR-y.
So, in the spirit of the game, here is a grossly homogenised and general version of eastern orthodoxy and ascetic practices as a religious atonement ASMR roleplay. I guess it’s a sort of ‘absolution asmr roleplay’, but regardless it’s a little on the weird side. It has intense whispering and delicate sounds, coupled with some very gory elements. There’ll be an uncensored version (though it’s virtually the same) on Patreon that also doesn’t have drum and bass at the start. But why would you not want drum and bass? Regardless, enjoy!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

Меня при чём привлекло его видео про иностранного персонажа. Вообще, хоть мне и нравится его болтовня на русском, но среди видео больше любимые, где на английском разговаривает, там есть то, что цепляет, какая-то милота (а то с Дими, допустим, не люблю за какую-то жестокость, хоть и всё равно люблю, но просто тошнить от жестокости начинает, если её слишком много).

Jokes aside, the roleplay seems on the surface pretty religiously intimate with the prayers & all. Which not everyone is personally comfy with for some reason-no matter how subtle. It can also just be that it seems to carry some other conflicting aspects like with whatever he’s doing with the blood. Which real ascetics I’m pretty sure don’t historically partake in within their practices. Maybe there’s the odd exception though. Either way, I suppose that throws things off a little. Personally I thought it was all kinda interesting regardless. I can see why others wouldn’t like it though. Or at least that morbid aspect of it-where perhaps the prayers were still appreciated.

Those prayers are as fast as my Greek Orthodox Priest does when he has to get through the Liturgy to get to the memorial service. I applaud the speed and accuracy.

Fire breakbeat at the start
A low lit yet bright amber glow, with candlelight creating a gleaming off of golden (fake will do) ornaments and glinting peeps of gold out from the shadows. An always, ALWAYS favourite of mine, giving a cosy or cool (depending on the season) ambience to a room.
LOVE the sound of belting rain falling in sheets. It sounds like that to my ears. I can smell the grateful dusty earth rising up to envelope it and hug it to quicken it downwards (here in my neighbourhood anyway). The indoors contrast of quiet, deep stillness and the organic feel of stone and wood in this ancient looking setting, allows the quiet sounds of different objects being moved to initiate those warmly creeping tingles.
The really ANNOYING thing is that the priest does not say what he did that was so wrong. If he knows he has hurt others, then stop it! If he has hurt nobody in gratifying a desire that is forbidden for a priest, then give up the priesthood. There are plenty of other worthy ways to help save people from various situations.
Also, he is obviously a repeat offender
(already bandaged hands) so, I am suspecting that he is using the excuse that he has not yet been given the guidance for how to stop sinning, for which he has been begging, from his Lord. That is a sign of a slippery slope. I have to admit that the whingeing and whining of the character, though you performed it excellently, gave me the galloping whoops.

Congratulations, this is amazing! I had to watch this one twice right away. The first time, as a lapsed cradle Catholic (from a VERY Catholic upbringing) I was just way too nauseated by the praying. But even with that I recognized that there was something else going on. So, I got out my good headphones, put those beasties on immersive, closed my eyes and actually listened. Jesus Jim (no pun intended) this was a sound masterpiece. From the footfalls and how the pressure changed to the click of the rosary beads, to the timber and speed of the breathing to this one just small, glorious second where with the echo and all “sin” sounded like a whip crack it was incredible. I’m a nerd for good sound design whether it be the way lyrics can weave around each other or music can be melodic or discordant or the tiniest sound like teeth clicking can bring together a mood sound to me can be both color and texture and this video was stellar. For the record I’ve only brought out the “good headphones” (so pompous sounding) for 2 ASMR videos. This one and your “Night Listener” one which is also incredible.

I just met you, two days ago I saw your video and I liked it, it even helps me relax before going to sleep because I haven't been able to sleep for a long time, I have insomnia due to anxiety, it's difficult to sleep, even for about two weeks I got tachycardia, I couldn't calm it down and then I ended up having trouble breathing, I couldn't do anything to calm down and I don't know how I slept or when but at least I managed it and nothing more serious happened but I think I'll go see a cardiologist to see why. That happened and what solution is there to prevent it from happening again, I'm a little worried, I don't want it to happen again, anyway, thank you for helping me sleep.😢❤❤❤❤
